Valderice was beautiful! We enjoyed looking up to see Erice every morning and looking down upon Trapani and the Egadi Islands. People were all so friendly and our host so accommodating and informative of the town, surrounding towns and Sicily.

don't expect vibrant bars, or beautiful craft shops, or seaside restaurants. none of this. Beauty is the sea and the pristine coast. The gulf of Bonagia and the subsequent gulf up to San Vito Lo Capo are uncontaminated and wonderful. The best is to rent a small boat to spend the day. The town of Erice is very picturesque and deserves to be visited. Then in Trapani you will find everything that was not there in Valderice (historic buildings, excellent restaurants, shops, etc.).
Renting a car and a small boat are a must to enjoy Valderice.

Great place as a starting point to all the landmarks of this part of Sicily. Also, there is a few nice places in Valderice to eat. There is a supermarket as well (you`ll get there everything you need). It`s a quiet little town.

We stayed in Bonnagia & found the town a little too quiet.
We stayed in Bonnagia & found the town a little too quiet. Not really many restaurants and things to see. The beaches weren't very nice either. A bit far away from anywhere if you don't have a car. Its not really a place I'd recommend to visit. Trapani is 30 mins away. We stayed in Bonnagia so we could visit Zingaro reserve (by car). On the way back we went into San Vito Lo Capo as there was a food and wine festival there and that place has really nice well kept beaches and seemed to have more restaurants and places to see so if we returned we'd probably go there instead.

There is a very poor public transport network in the western part of Sicily. Therefore it is necessary to book a car. Valderice is an excellent starting point for trips to the western part of the island. It is easily and quickly accessible from Trapani Airport.
Amazing place if you like quiet relaxing time. We loved the location and Gelato place in the village. Room was spacious and very clean. Our return fly was late evening so the hotel let us stay to use their facilities pool and bar on additional cost. We celebrated my husbands birthday and ordered the cake in advance all was there on time, perfect and delicious. Staff friendly and happy. Housekeeping are superb, fresh towels and beds made daily.
The Venere di Erice Hotel lies in a beautiful spot overlooking Tonnara Bonagia near Trapani and just below Erice. The panorama from our room was spectacular and driving up to Erice was very easy. The outdoor pool was beautiful and sparking clean. Additionally in a land of tiny parking spots, the parking lot at the hotel was as roomy as anything in the United States and though a small thing was very nice to have an easy place to park!!!
This hotel is so beautiful and authentic. It's really a perfect spot for anyone who wants to stay in a traditional Sicilian place. The garden is stunning and the whole place has a wonderful atmosphere. Not something you find everywhere. We had the most basic room, which is not too fancy but it was perfect for us!
Restaurant closed in October although the English version of booking dot om missed this. The host could not have been more understanding and accommodating, made a great dinner and breakfast You could not drive to find a restaurant and enjoy wine with your meal as the hotel is in an isolated but beautiful location
Country house hotel, the older part of the property was lovely. The restaurant attached was fabulous and great value too. The staff were very friendly and were exceptionally welcoming. The gardens were beautiful and well kept. Had I stayed on the old part of the hotel I think I would have been utterly charmed.
The host, Fabrizio, is very nice and welcomed us upon arrival at the facility. He is very nice and provided lots of suggestions for our stay in Valderice; he also made himself available through WhatsApp. Our room, and especially the spacious shared terrace, had a great view of the coast!
Receptionist was extremely helpful (from Mexico) and assisted us with booking the restaurant and ordered a taxi for us.
Room was clean and bed comfortable. The whole hotel was spotless including the pool and surrounding area.
Food and staff in the restaurant were both fantastic.
The location of the hotel was in the vicinity of Trapani and Erice was important for us since we wanted to have a relaxed and tranquil stay and visit the Egadi Islands. Thank you Ylenia for the hospitality and great help.
We enjoyed every moment of our stay in Villa Lido Valderice. Host Roberto has meet us, we recieved more than expected. Our recommendations for calm and perfect stay in this villa
The owner was very nice, the hotel was super clean and even though the hotel is a bit far from the centre it is a few mintues away from trapani centre. Great value for money.
