All Suites Torre Dell'Orologio  

My family and I recently spent one night at the Torre Dell'Orologio hotel and we were very impressed with the comfort and class of the accomodations. The room we had was very spacious and had a lovely canal view. The hotel's location, practically in San Marco Square, was ideal and beautiful. The staff was friendly and knowledgable. Definietly worth the expense.

Without knowing San Marco well, we were a little confused as to the location of the front entrance of the hotel, but thankfully people in the area directed us the right way. Also, although the hotel has a lift (elevator), we were on the first floor and the lift doesn't take you directly there. After exiting, we still had to walk up a dozen or more stairs to get to the room - not a big deal unless you mobility challenged.

We booked a suite room, and it was really huge! Great for our baby to crawl around in after a long day of being out and about. Location is excellent too, right by San Marco Square.

Service was mediocre at best. Our room safe was jammed and the man who came to open it was obviously drunk. He was very polite and friendly however, so it wasn't a big deal to us. Our phone wouldn't dial out either and reception didn't care to fix it. They never seemed particularly concerned or caring about questions or inquiries as to room issues, restaurants, etc. Not a bad hotel for location but don't expect great service.

While I booked the Deluxe Double Room, upon arriving the desk clerk said he was upgrading our room to a suite! What a great surprise! Having a suite with a kitchen where we could make our own breakfast and lunch was fabulous and a money saver. We were at the hotel for 10 days and it was like a luxury apartment right in the heart of Venice just behind the Clock Tower at Piazza San Marco The Rialto Market was a short walk where you could buy the best and freshest fish, vegetables and fruit. We only went to restaurants in the evening. Our Suite had a balcony off the livingroom and the bedroom with a great view of the back of the Clock Tower and the Mercerie. While you could look over the balcony and see the throngs of people, the noise was minimal as there are no cars allowed in Venice. The donging of the 700 year old clock was both romantic and exotic but did not keep us from sleeping. A wonderful place to stay!

Suites weree excellently appointed and comfortable, location is excellent and staff is very accomodating. Price for the accomodations considering all the above was reasonable.

Perfect location for staying in Venice. The rooms were a great size. We had 4 girls staying in one "apartment" room, and there was plenty of space for all of us!

Good location.Room not available at check in time.Had to wait one hour and a half.Offered taxis free of charge to Murano glass factory.We accepted the offer.We spent money at the glass factory as i thought it might be a business offer.But i accepted it anyway.All very pleasant there.At check out time at 12;o'clock exactly receptinist called saying to vacate room.I reminded her that we have 15 minutes grace period and that the room was not ready when we checked in so that to be fair i would leave in 15 minutes.She started to scream saying that check out time is now to to vacate the room promptly.I hung up because of the attitude and the shrill in her voice.The phone kept on ringing for the next 15 minutes.I left very upset and will never go there again.

The rooms were very comfortable and clean with an excellent location to San Marco square. A great choice for my first time in Venice. Hotel is quiet but 30 meters from the hotel is San Marco square a thousands of tourists during the day. At night it does calm down.

The apartments were much larger and beautiful than expected. They were spacious, and the facilities provided were of a 5 star level. Located 20 meters from St. Marks Square, the location,too, is amazing. The beauty of the apartments befitted the beauty of the city.

Nope. Nothing bad about this experience. Definitely recommended.
