This hotel has a great location for exploring Florence - close to the train station, close to the sights. The breakfast was great in terms of food (poached eggs, meats, yoghurts, croissants, fruit, muesli, cereal - we have never seen the like in Italy), however the coffee was abysmal. If you need to stay longer in Florence, don't stay here. However, for a one day trip the location and cheapness win out over a shoddy small bathroom. We had the smallest room, with a very small double bed and the shower was rubbish, but we booked it for cheapness and were only staying one night so it didn't matter. No matter what, do not drink the dishwater coffee at breakfast. |

Location is superb - it is right in the centre and very close to the main railway station Santa Maria Novella (be careful, not every train does stop there). Everything was excellent. |

The room was clean, comfortable and very central. The room was large. Disappointed with the facilities on offer and, despite there being a computer, it did not work. |

Hotel Toscana was extremely poor value. The room itself was very dirty, with dirt on the floor and the walls, and a musty smell in the room. There is a bar directly below the hotel so do not pick this hotel if you want to get any sleep before 3:00am! The "french bed" (supposedly for two people) was the size of a single. I highly recommend finding another place to stay. |

Hotel Toscana is very near to center of Florence. Hotel and surroundings are quiet. Hotel is very basic, but value for money is OK. |

Really nice hostel, near train station, hospitable staff. Clean and quite room. The bahroom is really clean and new!!! The breakfast is yummy as well. Strongly recommend the place. |

Good location,very close to the central station and the main attractions,confortable bed (frenchbed),bathroom OK. The room was a little bit dirty(too much dust under the bed and at the window);breakfast poor;awfull smell at our arriving. |

Within a walking distance (5 minutes) from the airport shuttle bus terminal, railway station and long-distance coach terminal. 10 minutes walk to the centre of the old town area. Helpful and friendly staff. Clean, renovated interiors. Towels changed daily. Sumptuous breakfasts. The room too small to be called a double. |

The staff were very friendly and helpful and had enough English to answer all our questions. The room facilities were quite good. As the weather was nice we did not have to use air conditioning but I guess it may come in handy in the summer. The bathroom was clean and everything was in working order.The room was pretty quiet so we had no trouble getting our rest. I suppose breakfast would be OK but you need to get up early to have it. Although theoretically you can eat between 7.30 and 10.00, there is hardly anything left after 9.00. |

Staff were excellent and could not have been more helpfull. Location was excellent for local landmarks. Rooms were comfortable and en-suit facilities more than apt. Number of stairs, although to be fair, there is a small lift for two persons. You do need to go up a small flight of stairs to access the lift however, so this may be of some inconvenience to those with mobility issues. |

Centrally located. The room we stayed first night had a hostel quality. Very bad smell. No hot water in the bathroom. Too noisy. Luckily, they arranged another room for us next day. That room was fair. |

I enjoyed breakfast very much and the fact that the hotel is very close to the train station and to the Duono (Cathedral) square. My room was not that beautiful: no door for the bathroom, almost no hot water, uncomfortable bed and broken hairdryer. |

Location and breakfast is great There was terrible, realy strange smell in the bathroom. The problem is, that the room was not separated with bathroom with normal door, but with accordion one, so the smell was comming through... |
