Hotel Toscana  

The best thing about this hotel must be its location, very close to the center and to Plazza della Republica; also the air conditioning which, for our July visit, was an absolute must have; the breakfast was ok.

The worst was by far the very hard pillow, I couldn't wait to get back home to my own pillow ; the hotel staff were not very hospitable; the room and the hotel itself could use a fresh coat of paint; the bathroom door was sliding and with cracks in it, almost see-through; the room door was not very safe, I could hardly close it and lock it, which made us feel unsafe.

Location is great with affordable price

The hotel is currently only accepting payment in cash - no credit or debit cards. You need to be aware of this before you visit. Hotel is not easy to find - if you are coming from the railway station and reach the underground car park you have gone 25 metres too far. Location is excellent for the city centre.

It was a good location from train station.

It was noisy, the bar downstairs was loud and people were talking loudly all night long along with the music. Sometimes people rolling their suitcases down the street also woke us up.

Very good localization

The room was very very small.

The location was good in the city centre of Florence,close to everything by foot.

First of all, the hotel is old and needs restauration. The breakfast was poor. The room they gave us it wasn´t the same we booked, the photos on the web site didnt correspond to the room given and we demanded to give us the room we really booked. They didnt have the double room and gave us triple room with 3 beds. Me and my wife we had to sleep on the 2 beds that had a different high level,one of them was lower than another one, one of them was made of iron where it was impossible to sleep. The next day we asked to return our money for the next nights paid and we wanted to move out from there, but they didnt return our money and we had to insist in changing the beds at least,so after discussion they found another bed.The room costed 70 euros per night the Toscana hotel could make an effort to give a better quality beds at least!!!

The location was great - one side street away from a main piazza, and hence a lot cheaper than those facing onto the piazza. Room clean. Check- in efficient.

Lock to our room door was extreemly hard to open. Advised attendant at reception - did not get a response.

No lift to all floors. Air con cut out every evening at midnight and didn't come back on until 7.00am.

Hotel stuff weren't so helpful about our problems. They weren't friendly and humane. It won't prefer Toscana again and recommend anyone. We hate Toscana. Thanks for your asking.
