Superb location and value for money.
The geographic situation
Very noisy. Bad smelling. Bad bed. Very small bathroom
Very nice location Cleaning service
Too loud outside Problems with bathrooms, poor facilities, bad locks in all doors
It was located close to the main train station and bus terminals. Also within walking distance of the main attractions. Were happy to store my luggage as I arrived early.
The hostel was very dirty - lots of dust/fluff on the ground, the kitchen was dirty and the bathrooms were irregularly cleaned. Was meant to be in a four bed dorm, but ended up in a six bed dorm for the same cost. One of the bathrooms was broken, meant there was one bathroom for the whole hostel. Hostel was very noisy till about 1am each night. And to top it off, the reception did not give me my change after saying that they would get it to me.
location is good. Bed was alright and it was clean.
they gave us a very small room, not even half the 15m2 booked. But it was ok though, expect that the toilet got broken the second night.
Location and that's all
The room was terribly small , smelly and noisy. The bathroom facilities was a really bad joke.. The bathroom door wasn't a door , it could be better described as a wooden curtain and every time you had to flush, drops of water were also hitting your face. Thanks god we had to spend only one night there.. If your budget can afford ten extra euros please choose another place..
Had a great time here! Will book again! Grazie
We arrived 12 midnight and no one was in reception,( they just put a small notice near on the buzzer to get the person from other hotel to let us in and check in , they made us pay prior to check in contrary to booking policy pay on check out....situated in noisy street, toilet is filthy .... You can hear the noise on the nearby room... Everything about this hotel was not a nice experience...
It was extremely close to the train station. After an exhausting trip in Europe it was a relief to walk instead of taking another train, bus or taxi to our hotel. It was central to everything
No breakfast included
-Staff are friendly. -Not to far from train station.
In centre for everything. 5minute walk from train station.clean and friendly.
Not much, really. It's close to Santa Maria Novella, but so are many other hotels
Okay, I know that I didn't pay much for this. However, it is the principle of charging money for something hideous that makes my blood boil. I had to leave to days early and they didn't even refund the city tax for that time. The bathrooms and floors are so awfully dirty. The man who received me late in the evening gave me the impression that he was doing me a favour and I found him silly and arrogant. The room was so noisy outside, if I didn't have good ear plugs I would not sleep one bit. This place needs to be cut back to size, it rubbish. Rather pay a few euros more and live with dignity.
Location was great
Noisy street in the morning
location and price
just two shared bathroom for 4 bedrooms
Everything was good enough but nothing special. The personal was funny and helpful and the location was awesome. We met a lot of cool people so it was nice.
Well we didn't stay at Hotel Toscana but some house with the name Rocco or something was nothing like the toscana's pictures but well we were already there. So I'm not rating Toscana but this other place. I heard other travelers with the same problem.
Great location due to the distance from the train station and the Duomo. Has a small cozy lounge, which is a nice way to meet other travellers
Close to main station Good eating opportunities close by Easy to book online
Overall, a bit tatty Rooms noisy and stuffy Internet rather erratic Although room chosen was not the cheapest, we were allocated a small room with limited internal space Bed needs renewal
Localisation Staff correct
Limited Confort I was on the dormitories with windows on the street and it was noisy
The location is good.
The bed is not comfortable. Room is small. Wifi is not available in room. And they actually changed me to another hostel.
There must be an issue with the hygiene, first one girl in the same dorm as mine then one day later me has been bitten by some mosquitos or worms - all our bodies covered in bites. Strangely enough 2 people in the same time and place....I'm sure something can be used against it if it is common in old buildings but...
Hotel is very tired
Nice Location Nice Environment Helpful staff
Very Small room Towels weren't changed in our 4 day staying
Crispy clean sheets, Location very central, 5 min from Duomo 4 people in one room for 90 euro not bad.
Decor a bit dull and 70's Shower no cold control. A bit noisy until the bar downstairs in the steert shut
1 location (3 min walk from the center and the train station) 2 price 3 little cafe nearby where we could eat for a VERY reasonable price (comparing to the rest of Florence cafes and restaurants)
You get what you pay for. Do not expect a two star hotel with a room for 60 euro a night to be something of a high standard. Among the negatives are: 1. breakfast was at another hotel. Close, but you still had to walk to it. It cost 3 euro, for which you get cold coffee, 1 croissant, cornflakes (tasted like paper) and some kind of an orange water with a remote taste of orange juice. 2. Noisy street. A couple of bars/cafes downstairs with people talking, laughing, screaming until 2 am. 3. Room was more of a closet than a room. No sound isolation. You hear every time neighbours go to the toilet, shower, walk, sneeze etc etc etc. 4. The toilet was an adventure! The pot is located half under the sink so one needs to have some acrobatic experience to sit on it. Going #1 was managable. Going #2 was a challenge. 5. Service is C-. Polite, yet it could be so much better if people smiled.
worst service I've ever experienced. they charge on everything. wifi("luckily" I could use it free), keeping my luguage. ect. staff are not kind.
