The room is OK. Good location and cheap price It is not easy to find this hotel. When we check-in, the reception is on the phone and kept us waiting for more than 5 minutes. Than he ask us to upgrade our room with an extra 9 euro and should pay by cash - although the room is better than the original one.

The staff was very friendly, and very helpful. The rooms were decent sized. Overall seemed clean! The rooms were very hot at night, and my friends had a lot of mosquitos in their room, from leaving the window open.

I stayed here with some friends while on midterm break and I can't recommend it more. You get a really great deal on spacious and comfortable rooms, and the location is excellent. Next time I'm in Florence I will definitely go back! Not really a complaint, but it's important to note that this is not a hotel, so there isn't always someone there at the reception desk if you have questions - but upon check in they give you all the information you need and they are easily reachable by email.

Location. They kept our bags for the morning while we did the tourist thing. Bare bones, students loud in the hall.

Location and price. It smelled badly when we arrived but got better with fans. Comes from the sinks. We had to spend our first night at a place about half mile away from tourist house duomo due to overbooking which was a big inconvenience. Santiago was very courteous and helpful. I told you above about the smells and the overbooking so we were inconvenienced by dragging our bags back and forth and packing up again. Because of this I wouldn't recommend it but I would mention all this and let them decide if it would work for them because of the location and price.

We'd read various reviews and comments from other people before booking the hotel so we already knew that the accommodation was going to be basic but in a brilliant , central location. We'd been concerned that our flight time from Bristol would mean that we were cutting it fine to arrive before the 8pm booking in deadline, especially if there were delays (which of course there were) so Booking.com contacted the hotel for us in advance and arranged for someone to wait on a bit longer for us (for an additional charge). We found the hotel easily, thanks to the photo of the front entrance and a simulated walk to our destination using Google street which we did before leaving home. Thankfully, we arrived only 10 minutes past 8pm (no charge was made) and received a warm welcome, including a map with all the main sights explained to us and a comprehensive demonstration of the locks and keys to ensure that we would be able to gain access any time of the day or night. The room was spacious and clean with a rather firm bed. We were woken every morning at around 6.45 by the chimes and loud bongs from the bell tower which we had to laugh about as it had been our choice to stay so near to the Duomo. Had a great time. Bed was too hard for our liking. We made use of the spare pillows which were available in the wardrobe and hoped that the chambermaid would have put pillow cases on them for us once she saw them out-she didn't, which was rather poor and unhygienic. We'd have put some on ourselves if they'd been there. Also, we'd have liked a fridge in our room to keep some drinks/juices cool as there are no dining facilities at the hotel and we do like to at least have a drink of some sort before venturing out to find somewhere for breakfast( didn't have to go far though)

Location is the best in Florence. The room they gave us was the worst in the hotel. It had no windows, it had a door opening to apartment vantilation space. It felt so unsecure because if someone tried to break in to our room there was almost nothing to prevent them to do so. The guy was kind and had good communication, but the room he offered us was really terrible. Bathroom was seperate from the room that also was a suprise for us, we didn't feel comfortable.

Didn't actually stay there got in late around 11pm informed by email that we would be arriving around 8:30 since the last supper in Milan ended at 6pm We figured a 3 plus hr. Dr. But driving in and around Florence is a experience directions are not the best plus I don't speak Italian and most Italians don't speak English so trying to communicate was difficult. We arrived 3 blocks away at 9pm and called from a restaurant informing the manager (Sandiago) where we were. He said he would meet me out front of the restaurant in 5 mins. So we could follow him to the Tourist House. After 25 mins and no Sandiago we decided to try the phone again and the restaurant owner refused so we decided to try our self and to our surprise we found it in 30 mins. We met a man that was renting there but not from the same people. So I guess there are 6 rooms for rent for the Tourist House and maybe the same number for the other co-owner anyway he called for us and talked to Sandiago which arrived in 10 mins. Sandiago informed us that the room was rented and we would have to rent another room from the owner that lived not far away. So all 3 of us and 2 pieces of luggage and 2 carry owns got in my economy rent a car and drove to this owners house. It sits above the garage where we parked at 32 euros a day. After making 3 trips up this 2 person elevator with luggage we got to meet the owner (Ryana) what a nice lady and she is from Canada she informed us of a 18 euro late check in and gave us 3 keys for the different locks to the different doors going in and out. We thanked Sandiago and he left and he refused a tip what a nice guy. Ryana said if we wanted directions or restaurants to eat at she would help us. Also she said if we wanted to use her refrig. For cold drinks or food we were welcome. The room was small and no air conditioning so we opened the one window and she provided us with a repellent for mosquitoes.

Excellent location and staff. Santiago and Joana do a wonderful job at the Tourist House. Watch out for he number of the building. It is very trick as there are 2 numbers 1 for that street and no real big sign for the Tourist House.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tourist House Duomo. Although they don't have 24 hour reception, the staff was very helpful and kind. We had an air conditioner and quite a large room and the location was very central. For the price, you can't really beat it! I would absolutely stay here again!

Great price, great location, clean and spacious rooms. When we tried to check in we were not told that we needed to check in before 9pm (our train got in later than we had anticipated) so we had to pay a fee. Also, when we arrived late, no one was there to check us in so we had to call someone at a neighboring hotel (?) that they also owned to come and check us and another waiting couple in. The employee came in a reasonable amount of time but it was just a little odd. Otherwise a great experience!

Excellent location, 15 minutes to any monuments, to the train station 7 minutes, and incredibly high ceilings at the hotel . отсутствие чайника; вода в душе греется бойлером, могут возникнуть неудобства; в отеле достаточно холодно по ночам. The absence of the kettle. The water in the shower heats by the boiler, it can be inconvenient. It's cold enough in the rooms at night .
