Great central location
Bit noisy and bed could be better/more comfy (quite hard)
I came for 1 day business and I had all I need, internet working fine and I was just in the middle of the City. Gorgeous!!!
Thank you for such a wonderful day!!
Everything was top quality
Thank you for your kind service!
Bed was good, good location (besides the Duomo bell tower ringing at 7am every morning) very clean room, cleaned every day.
Was never given the password to the Free Wifi. The information for it wasn't anywhere in the room or the lobby, the staff member was never present to ask for it (the reception is apparently 12-6pm, but they're only there really to check a new person in and clean, which is usually when you're out). It was a shame really because Wifi was a big reason we booked and depended on to book our next place.
location, and facilities
very simple breakfast
The experience was just to good to be true. I will be back for sure!
Thank you for everything!
Everything was just perfect
I stay for 1 day with my friend and there is no words to describe this place but in 1 I would say excellent! The place is just like when I dreamed to stay in Florence, the room with outside balcony and the lady who is also the owner, Mrs Clara was the nicest person...she gave us all the tips for our short trip and we managed to visit almoust everything in such a short time...I Will come back for an entire vacation...Love , love this place
It is an amazing hotel! The staff is awsome The loction is wonderful, everything is perfect! I recomade it for any tipe of visitors! Thank you for everything Tourist House Duomo!!!
With a very short booking in time slot, we missed the staff by 5 minutes. Unfortunately we had to wait 2 hours before we were able to enter our room. Staff had very little English. Reception hours should be longer.
Beds were terrible could feel springs it was so thin. Question 1 does not fall into a category in which I was travelling.
I had read some very bad reviews on another website, shortly before travelling, which worried me, but when we arrived there we were relieved to find that everything was fine. The receptionist, Clara, could not have been more helpful-she arranged for us to hire a wheelchair, which wasn't straightforward, but she went to a lot of trouble and guaranteed the safe return of the chair which saved us from having to lose a deposit. The hotel is old- fashioned but spotless and in a great location. It was great value for money. Oh, yes, I had read elsewhere that they charged for towels! We definitely weren't, and we were provided with the normal amount.
There was a kettle and cups but no tea, coffee, sugar or milk. No fridge, either. Also, the safe was not working. It will probably be fixed by now, but we didn't fancy using it anyway as it wasn't built in! No receptionist (unless you inform them of a late arrival, as we did) after 6pm.
Within Walking distance to the train station. Very clean an friendly staff. We had 2 adjoining rooms with a bathroom in between which worked out fine with us. Not a lot of plug ins in the room to charge phones, etc. GREAT WI FI, but then the router was right outside our room. Clara was very welcoming and waited late for us to arrive.
Not easy to locate even though it is close to the train station. House numbers in the old town section are very confusing. The name of the hotel is very difficult to locate or see unless you are right in front of the building and see the plaque on the wall. The Hotel has a different name above the door which can be seen from across the street. Very deceiving.
Central location with plenty of character and good size room
Supposed to get breakfast but didn't. No body virtually ever in reception. Not good English so problems communicating but accept that this is my issue, no info about Florence in room
great location, friendly staff, high ceiling rooms
The receptionist had very good English. She had great maps and advice about what to see and do. She was very friendly and we were able to check in early. The accommodation was clean and air conditioning was fair. A one minute walk from Duomo. Amazing location for the price.
The receptionist took cash for the room but a colleague had pre-charged the card. Lucky we noticed and glad we had paid cash so a refund was instant. I genuinely believe this was an honest mistake but double check.
Fantastic location, almost next door to the Duomo. Helpful staff and comfortable rooms.
Great location and clean
Hard mattress on the bed. Not easy to find because of a lack of signage
The location of this hotel was brilliant, it's right in the centre of Florence so perfect for seeing all that the wonderful city has to offer. When we arrived the wifi only worked in reception but by the next day a new router had been installed and the wifi worked in the room! The aircon worked fantastically and the room was large with high ceilings and a great bathroom. There is a kettle in the room with tea and coffee included, the fridge was a small travel one that wasn't that cold but we didn't really find this a problem. Overall, brilliant location, lovely room, friendly staff and excellent value for money! We will certainly stay her again!!
Booking.coms directions were completely wrong, we spent about 40 minutes walking around showing people the provided address and getting no where! It was only when we accessed wifi and used google maps that we found the correct address and luckily arrived just before check in closed (someone is on the desk from 2-6 only, after that god knows what you'd do...) any later and we'd have lost the reservation!!! This is no fault of tourist house duomo though and they said they will contact booking.com to amend these details! Just double check on google maps along with the directions on the site to make sure they match!
Everything was just excelent, the service, the personal, the room....this is a 4-5 star location here...I think that the score 6.9 is unfair for the quality of service and location we just experienced
The place was by far one of the best we could find...the personal was more than friendly...made us feel like we were family...We will recomend to all our friends.
1 block to the Duomo and center of old part of town. Two bedrooms with bathroom between them was perfect for our family of 4. Loved waking up to the church bells.
Booking.com's coordinates were way off, so we had trouble finding it. Better coordinates are: N43°46.412' E11°15.212' It's also helpful to know it shares a building with another hotel, and Tourist House Duomo's reception is on the first floor.
