I had read some very bad reviews on another website, shortly before travelling, which worried me, but when we arrived there we were relieved to find that everything was fine. The receptionist, Clara, could not have been more helpful-she arranged for us to hire a wheelchair, which wasn't straightforward, but she went to a lot of trouble and guaranteed the safe return of the chair which saved us from having to lose a deposit. The hotel is old- fashioned but spotless and in a great location. It was great value for money. Oh, yes, I had read elsewhere that they charged for towels! We definitely weren't, and we were provided with the normal amount.
There was a kettle and cups but no tea, coffee, sugar or milk. No fridge, either. Also, the safe was not working. It will probably be fixed by now, but we didn't fancy using it anyway as it wasn't built in! No receptionist (unless you inform them of a late arrival, as we did) after 6pm.
