Nice room, nice staff. We couldn't sleep the whole 3 nights that we were there as we weren't allowed to use The air conditioning in the room and on top of that the central heating was on everyday with no way of turning off on a 25 degree day plus you couldn't have the window open as the noisy restaurant downstairs was very loud till very late.

The location was excellent. Barely two minutes from the Duomo and the city centre, with other attractions almost as close. The welcome was first-rate, and the room large and well-equipped. Huge, comfortable bed, too. We were there over the Christmas period, and were the only guests for some of the time. However, a full breakfast spread was on offer every day. You pay a premium price for such a convenient location, of course, and for a first floor Bed and Breakfast establishment you need to be sure you are prepared to meet that cost. Another reviewer mentioned how warm their room was. We agree, but even at the end of December, when we opened the window, we attached mosquitoes into the room. Not a big problem, but be warned.

Great value and location, charming and confortable room, nice staff. There is no parking close by but they have an agreement with a parking lot that pick up and bring your car, even that takes a long time...

Comparing the price, this is a excellent hotel. Lorenzo is kind and nice, he introduce a good restaurant for us. I will stay in the same house at the next time in Firenze. 物超所值的飯店, 房間大,花園漂亮, 早餐好吃. 有空房極度建議入住.

Friendly staff. Jaccuzi was a nice thing. Location was wonderful, so close to te duomo and everything is in walking distance in Florence. Entrance hall on ground floor stank. The heating was on, which was not really necessary

When we first arrived, and we walked through the main gate, I thought, i'd made a terrible mistake. I couldn't have been more wrong! Our room was amazing, it had everything we could possibly want, air conditioning, pc, internet access, safe, minibar, the list goes on. Breakfast was very good, with a good selection. The owner was very helpful, booked tickets for us and recommended restaurants which were excellent. Very central location. A very pleasant experience, highly recommended.

Tourist House Ghiberti is very conveniently located, allowing you to easily walk to tourist attractions and also the main railway station. We enjoyed staying in a traditional Florentine building with the old central elevator and having an ornate patterned ceiling in our room. The room was huge and well furnished with a very large bathroom. A bonus was having a computer in the room as we did not take one with us. Claudio was an excellent host, very courteous and helpful. An extensive buffet breakfast was provided, not just the bread and coffee we had been led to expect. The room was a bit noisy at times, but this is what you expect in Florence and the convenient location more than compensated for this.

The location is second to none: You walk around the corner and you can see the dome of the Duomo. The room is spacious, with a gorgeous bathroom and unusual facilities, most notably a full PC with fast Internet connection. Owners will recommend good restaurants. Skip the breakfast. As is usually the case in Italy, hit any good pasticceria and with a few euros you can have a sumptuous cappuccino and a lovely pastry or two. Our room was adjacent to the reception area and in the morning we were awakened by the owner answering the phone.

Rooms are spacious, very clean, calm and confortable. Everything you need is there.Excellent location In the heart of the city, five minutes from the cathedral but very quite area. Very convenient and secure. Lorenzo( who speaks french and english) and sara were very helpful, perfect. with subtleness and discretion. All the informations you need like maps, restaurants addresses, city tours, renting bicycles are available at the hotel. Your car is taken to a private garage for about 30 euros per 24h.For those who would like a bit more confort, you can ask for bathroom kit(wardrobe+slippers+creme) for an extra cost of 8 euros . Jacussi and spa are waiting for you. You will get your private pass to come and go anytime of day and night at your convenience. Our stay was too short. Wish to go back!

We did have trouble finding the hotel as only a tiny plaque stuck to the wall by large wooden door so easy to miss! Hotel was lovely within an apartment building very quiet, clean room and spacious. Free internet access in room which was ideal when booking tickets for museums, etc. Breakfast was varied with the usual toast, eggs, croissant, cereal and yogurts and even home made cake. I would say that my tea was always just warm and not hot so wasnt the best tea but apart from that I have no issues. Perfect location 2 mins walk to Duomo what more could you ask for! The tea was always luke warm! Hard to find at first.

Clean spacious room. Though room was next to the road and on top of a restaurant, it was very quiet because there are 2 layers of double glazed windows. Lovely courtyard to have breakfast.

We loved our room at Tourist House Ghiberti. Staying there for four nights cost the same or less than the other two hotels we booked in Rome and Venice, but Ghiberti offered by far the best accommodations of the three. Our room was large, clean, comfortable and pretty. It was outfitted with everything we could possibly have wanted, including a desktop computer with internet, TV, reading lights, etc. There was even a contraption for catching mosquitoes. Breakfast in the morning was lovely, and we could eat on a quiet patio. The location was perfect - a short walk from the main destinations of Firenze, but just removed enough to be shielded from the throngs of tourists we encountered closer to the Duomo. We also were able to walk to and from the train station with our luggage when we arrived and departed. Ghiberti was the perfect hotel. It became clear by our third or fourth day at Ghiberti, if not sooner, that we were not the favored guests of the proprietors. As we checked out, we found ourselves wondering if we had somehow wronged or offended them, because we observed them acting with extreme friendliness to other guests, while they treated us coldly. It may be that we were a young couple and came home later at night than the other guests, and our attempts at entering quietly were unrealized in such a small (5 room) hotel. Even so, we loved the hotel and would recommend it to anyone visiting Firenze and looking for an affordable hotel with the amenities of an expensive one!

Central to all of the sights of Firenze. One block from the Duomo. A good resturant around the corner. It was quiet. The staff/owners Laurenzo and Sara are knowledgeable and most helpful hosts. Breakfast on the Terrace was delightful. A very lucky find!

The size of the bedroom and bathroom was very good, and the facilities offered are way beyond the star rating.. Good breakfast and nice setting out on the patio. Moments away from the Duomo but very quiet. Walking distance of all the main sights in Florence. Excellent value for money. Nothing detracted from our stay and we have nothing but praise for the hotel and staff.

It has only a small number of rooms, and therefore is very personal and quiet. There is npothing of importance not to dislike. The shower area could be refreshed - that's all.

“This hotel has one of the best locations ever, so close to the Duomo and just in the center surrounded by designers stores, for some expensive and brand shopping, as well as very close to the market, for an affordable and enjoyable shopping. You can easily tour Florence from there. The train station is around 5 minutes walk away which is perfect. The room is very clean and spacious as oppose to other hotels around Italy. We enjoyed our breakfast a lot, as the kitchen is so nice and you can easily mingle and get to know other travelers and share with them some tips about what to see around. As for the staff, well Alessandro and his friend are so welcoming, very friendly and helpful which made our visit to Florence a visit to remember. ” Pia, Riyadh |
