Tourist House Ghiberti

The Tourist House Ghiberti was wonderful. The room was very comfortable, with many ammenities. The breakfast was excellent. Sitting on the terrace for breakfast or just relaxing at night was very refreshing. Having access to TV of multiple languages was very nice. It was a great stay.

There was nothing about the place that I did not like!

Fantastic location and facilities for a city break

Large comfortable room with good bed, shower, separate tub in an excellent location near the Duomo. Welcome was good with host providing all info needed. Good varied breakfast.

Host seemed indifferent at times. Drip coffee was weak, stick to espresso or cappucino.

Very close to local attractions. Owners spoke English and were helpful. For this price point the accommodations are exceptional. Very clean. Loved having a bathtub. Breakfast was plentiful. We originally took a cab from the train station, but discovered its actually better to walk, its hard for the taxis to maneuver through all the tourists lining the streets. We are middle-aged and it was not difficult even pulling luggage. If you are visiting the main museums be sure to call for reservations, it will keep you from waiting hours in line.

In an alley next the dome, less than 15 minutes walk from the train station and almost all tourist attraction in town, amazing rooms, even had a surround sound system in the room. great breakfast

The position was excellent, the staff was kind and the place was clean and quiet. It was nice to have the possibility to use the whirlpool in the evening.

The bed and pillows were not comfortable.

Everything was just excellent!!! Staff very friendly and helpful,room stylish ,clean and comfortable... The location couldn't be better: Close to the main attractions Walking distance to the station Shops,restaurants,supermarket all close by. I would without a doubt go back Tourist House Ghilberti :0)

What I didn't like: There is a smell on the basement of the building but I guess, that's out of their control And, There is no coffee/tea facilities in your room :0((((( But Staff can make you a tea/ coffee and take to your room( chargeable)..

You are in the center of all the major sites in Firenze. Tourist House Ghiberti exceeded all of our expectations....the staff welcomed us even though we were early, having a lift for the luggage was wonderful, the room was clean and furnished well, the sauna and whirlpool were added bonuses after long days of sight seeing and the breakfast was the usual Italian fare of breads, sweets, meats/cheeses and drinks. I would definitely stay here again. One of the best things was reading that the building that houses this B and B is where the Ghiberti doors of Paradise were actually built.

We loved the location. Easy walk to everything in Florence. The room was large, clean and well appointed. Felt homey and personal. Loved the free Internet access. Although the weather didn't allow it to enjoy it, there was a lovely garden patio.

Perfect location in the heart of Florence (5 min walk from Doumo). Nice, big and very clean room. Free wifi, nice italian breakfast and very kind owner. Also, we used the Jacuzzi and sauna. Very recommand. Gilat & Yaron Raski Israel

The only problam with this perfect location is the parking. it is very expensive to park inside the sityand some of the streets are restricted. So we parked at Piazzela Michelangelo (free) and we took a bus.

The location, close to the tourist areas. Walking distance to the train station and central market.

The ventilation at the ground floor entrance was bad. It has a musty sourish smell. It would help if the main wooden doors are left open during the day. After all there is a metal gate and that can be locked for security reasons.

Beautiful large room, fantasic location.

Shower was quite small, but what can you do.

Accommodations were perfect with no small detail left out. It was nice to stay in a place that the owner has such pride in.

Location suberb, wonderful breakfest, no problems getting in and out of the b&b whatever the time it is, lots of guides and informations in a small library, very comfortable, clean and modern, the bus between trains station and b&b stops in front of the door, staff excelent... It's one of the best b&b I've been. I totally recommend it.

Once we found the hotel just loved the location, the neighbourhood, the whole feeling of being in the heart of Florence. Have never seen such a breakfast menu before. So much choice. The peace, privacy, the comfort of the room.

Breakfast was horrible

Great location, silent and nice neighbourhood, very comfortable room. Great sleeping quality.

Not a big problem but the shower was a little bit small, it was difficult to move in it. But beside positive things this wasn't important.

It is the best hotel in which I stayed in the European cities. Big comfortable room, great staff, always available. A lot of facilities in the room, jacuzzi and sauna in the hall. Good value for money. Location just near the Duomo, but in the small quiet street.

We liked everything about this hotel!! It was absolutely amazing! The location was perfect as it was in the centre close to everything. The room was very clean and the colours and design were very relaxing. We loved the thought of coming back to that room after a tiring day. The owner treated the hotel as his own house and looked after everything very well. Breakfast was nice and simple and the terrace was beautiful! We loved this place!

Great location and very nice accomodations. Very spacious room with a computer and Internet access. Very clean and centrally located.

Coming from Australia, the narrow streets of Florence were a bit of a shock and the hotel entrance was so different. Once upstairs and in our room, we couldn't have asked for more. Sara and Lorenzo clearly take their hotel seriously and are up to date with all the technology, having a computer in our room was wonderful considering we were having to book forward accommodation. The beds were so comfortable and the room and the bathroom was well equipped and top quality. Breakfast was plentiful and Lorenzo was on hand to recommend restaurants, call taxis etc. would definitely stay again. Pleasure to see owners that take so much pride in their hotel.

Facilities were excellent, and the staff very helpful, and they spoke excellent English. Outstanding value for money, especially given the location.

It was a little hard to find. The entrance is not immediately obvious, there is a nameplate on the wall, but no board hanging out in the street.

Perfect central location within walking distance to many good restaurants and tourist attractions. Attentive staff who are always available for questions or requests.
