Nuovo Nord is an affordable hotel enjoying a wonderfully central location in historic central Genoa. Set 165 ft from the train station, everything is just walking distance away.
Score from 896 reviews Very good
The only thing good is the location, a short walk. Would rather cab to the city centre and stay in friendlier hotel.
Room was shabby. Ac did not work. Staff did not attend even in 24 hours. What's worse staff Was rude when reminded. Breakfast lousy too. Would not stay here again. Internet painfully slow, can't believe this. Frustrating.
Everything was what you would expect and want for an airport layover. The staff was welcoming, cheerful and helpful. We enjoyed seeing the fancy motorcycle in the lobby.
The only thing we didn't like was the scent of the soaps. They call it 'fig,' and it just wasn't to our taste. Not a big deal at all.
Good room deluxe Next to Airport Well soundproofed
Hotel Food a bit poor
Location, Sleep comfort, Breakfast
damaged and somewhat dirty condition of hotel lobby
we arrvied early and was allowed to check in and was upgraded- we were on our honeymoon and needed to stay in geno an extra night from returning from a cruise- free shuttle to town and airport - breakfast was included - staff was friendly - location was great
Airport terminal reachable on foot, large rooms.
Some refurbishing would definitely serve. When you arrive you feel like coming back to 1980s.
staff and location
wi fi was too slow
near by the airport
rather far from the city center
excellent location to the airport, five minutes walk across the parking lot and you are in the hotel lobby
should provide bathroom toiletries and have a better curtain in the shower so the water will not leak to the floor
Nice facility, service and staff Convenient to airport 15 minute walk to nice harbor-side restaurants Good rates vs. alternatives
Industrial area walk from train station No Internet in breakfast area
We had a mix up with the rooms but the staff was very nice and offered us another room and helped us out as much as they could
Location and service, especially the drive to the center of Genove and back1
close enough to walk to the airport
the maintenance of the room needed attention. The safety lock on the door was broken and the toilet needed special attention in order to flush properly but we were just there overnight so we made due with the situation.
The bartender was excellent and friendly. The meal at the restaurant was good. The location was ideal because I needed to be near the airport and it is basically at the airport.
The front desk staff both in the evening and the morning I found to be curt, unfriendly and unsmiling. Not one person had a smile except the manager and that was only when my phone in the room wasn't working and he apologised. The breakfast was horrible but they made me cappuccinos but still didn't smile.
Front desk staff were very helpful and courteous -- we also really appreciated that they upgraded us when we told them it was the last night of our honeymoon. There's a free shuttle multiple times a day between the hotel and city center -- just make sure to reserve/confirm with the front desk to secure a seat! Right across the street from the airport -- 2-min walk.
very good location and offers shuttle to downtown. staff was really helpful and friendly. they kindly upgraded me when I found my room not properly cleaned.
the hotel isn't in its best time. very old. Lock chains broken in both rooms we had. irons and electric kettles are not allowed. internet barely working. toilet seats too dirty to sit on. beautiful furniture scratched and chipped off at edges. its clear the hotel lacks funding. you still can see the glory it had once when it was Sheraton but now its just suffering.
Cosy, nice staff
Dusty, no free parking, dirty bathroom, no mini-bar content/price list, chaos since changing from Sheraton to another brand
The staff were lovely, really. And we got upgraded because 'we seemed like a nice couple' which was a lovely thing to hear! Everyone was great. Our room was excellent.
The food is pretty poor for Italy. Breakfast was perfect, but the menu for dinner was limited, and for a place famous for pesto, it was the worst pasta I had in Italy (I work all over Italy most of the year)
The front office staff were exceptional, engaging and helpful. The hotel offers a shuttle to downtown which if we had known earlier we might have taken advantage of it.
The restaurants outside of the hotel were closed It may have been the time of year.
The King sized bed in the room and being on the 11th floor )
The mini bar was not really stocked up.
