Enjoy one of the most spectacular views of the Amalfi Coast at Villa Il Frantoio, an ancient olive press that is now a charming bed and breakfast.

Location view staff. It was a great stay. The only thing that we did t like was the poor choices of food at the pool bar.
The location is beautiful, the hotel on the cliff, real 4 stars, tastefully decorated with nice details. The room had a dream view and a wide balcony. The restaurant is the best we found in the region with a fantastic view up to Capri and a range of local italian specialities up to also nice pizza. The swimming pool was at the roof of the hotel really a highlight overlooking the sea. Clean, super people, very helpful with smile always. We used the possibility offered by the hotel to go by speed boat to Capri. Fantastic ! Highly recommended. ALL IN ALL GREAT.
There wasn't anything important. A bit the bed rather to hard for us, but that's a question of personal taste. To reach the nice small seaside you have to walk 10' vertically down in serpentines, but back you need rd. 25'.... and good fitness level. it's really hard to climb the steep path, but this is the region. Some organisational aspects of the boat trip could have been better but who cares... all the rest compensated in a splendid way.
Beautiful views over ocean and coastline. Very friendly staff. Great restaurant and excellent breakfast. Excellent facilities and atmosphere. Welcoming and good place to just relax. Hotel is great.
Praiano is located midway between Amalfi and Positano. Not a lot to do in Praiano itself so need to travel by bus to get to other locations which adds a lot of time and perhaps frustration, especially with luggage.
Everything. Great position. Very helpful staff. Pretty, clean and very comfortable with lovely food.
Location, pool, restaurant and surrounding bars and eateries. Outstanding view from room balcony.
400 stairs to return from the from the beach. Bed not the most comfortable
We loved the location in Praiano and access was fantastic. Staff at hotel were so helpful and accommodating. The view was amazing though I think we would have preferred a room on a higher level than -3.
Would have been nicer to have been closer to beach.
We enjoyed staying at this hotel because it was centrally located between Amalfi and Positano. Great rooftop pool!!
The pool area & terrace were fantastic, spacious & quiet & served a great variety of food/drinks all day. The staff were welcoming & friendly, and the food in the restaurant excellent. We only booked a standard room but it was still huge with a walk in wardrobe! Fantastic place.
The mattress was too hard & the wifi a bit patchy at times, but I would still go back in a heartbeat
helpful friendly staff, very good restaurant with great sea views, comfortable and spacious room and bathroom, beautiful sea view from room, good pool and sunbathing area, traditional style, spotlessly clean, private terrace.
no separate bar in the evenings, popular for non residential events e.g. Weddings, tour refreshment stopovers / lunches, busy traffic noise
Great views overlooking the sea, the church in the square of Praiano, and Positano. Also nice view from the rooftop pool.
Very basic room considering the price of the hotel. Shower head not working properly and shower screen broken.
Location: it's the highlight. Take your time for going to the small beach (400 stair steps down are breathtaking in more than one meaning, but it's worth the pain) Restaurant: clean menu and tasteful dishes, wonderful sight from the patio. Cleanliness and kindness.
We've got 2 rooms: the 1st was nice and in line with the 4 stars claimed; the 2nd was really small (no place for the suitcase, we had to place it on the small desk; basic bathrom basic and narrow shower, and I'm not a big lad), I've found the better in most of the 3 stars I've visited. A large patio in compensation, but without beach umbrella it was unuseful during the day. Restaurant: the "carbonara" is probably a local variant, but it's quite far from the original dish and much greasy (onions, olive oil and cream together).
We really liked the location and the roof top pool terrace with amazing views. The staff were also very friendly and the breakfast & restaurant were very nice. The hotel also very generously gave us a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine!
The room we stayed in was a little on the small side and and the furnishing & fittings are a little basic for a hotel with this star rating.
The pool was great and has a beautiful view. Staff we're very friendly and helpful. Overall a very unpretentious place that's very comfortable. We'd come back for sure.
Spotty wifi but that's really not a big deal.
Very nice family run place who are good hosts Very good location between the towns of Amalfi and Postiano We would go back
Family very pleasant and always asking if all is OK? Senior lady very gracious in dining room making sure guests happy with food. View, of course, of Mediterranean fantastic & view of Positano north spectacular, especially lighted at night. Positano only 10 min drive by car. Bigger town Amalfi only 20 min south good for exploring and level for older people as opposed to Positano. Restaurant and view is magical.
Parking a little tight.
We loved the hotel, helpful staff, old fashioned hospitality, beautiful food. The kids loved the pool and the sunset views are stunning!
The ONLY thing that bothered me was the beds were a little hard!
The hotel is in an excellent position. Walking distance to local restaurants and bar etc. Praiano is a good location as it provides a more relaxed atmosphere, less traffic congestian, good local restaurants and it is only a short bus trip to the likes of Positano. This hotel is good for families, the pool is good, the hotel has an incredible view of the coast, the breakfast is excellent with plenty of variety, the hotel staff are very friendly and are happy to help. The coast in this region has black rocky beaches. It is possible to walk to the beach from the hotel as long as you like 400 steps! I didnt mind the walk and the beach at this location has a bar. This is not a negative as this entire region is like this and it is part of the areas charm.
the location allows for warmth at the end of the day because you are still getting the sun as it is setting. The view is stunning. The rooms are so clean that you can eat off the floor. The dining area overlooks the Mediterranean Sea and you enjoy the beauty while eating each meal. The menu and taste is mouth watering. We ate most dinners here as it was so delicious.
there was nothing that we didn't like. We were so very pleasantly pleased with this hotel.
Very picturesque and a wonderful location. Relatively quiet town on the touristy Amalfi coast. The place was very clean and well kept. The hosts made sure that the guests felt at home. Good restaurant with an amazing view. Mama Theresa was great with the kids!
Beds could be more comfortable but still an absolutely great place for vacationing on the Amalfi coast.
Great location and pool
Small room Very thin walls between rooms made the hotel noisy.
Excellent location. Large terrace with mountain/sea view was worth having! Spacious and very tidy room. Pool was great with a large 1m-deep-area for kids. The restaurant offered excellent but inexpensive Italian cuisine and great breakfast. Extremely nice, helpful and welcoming staff! Enough parking space.
The weddings arranged at hotel can be quite noisy; fortunately the music ended around midnight.
A view to die for!
The entry I lovely with sweeping views of the coast but if you have a standard room it really is more a 3 star property. One fire which is not part if the hotel but down 400 steps to the beach is a lot of fun, music pumping and bar staff were great but I don't think the hotel lived up to the ratings unless you get the Mediterranean rooms which are lovely. The main owner is lovely and she does try and assist. Free parking is definitely a bonus but a little manic.
Really dated room, chipped floor tiles, bathroom looks like it's about 20 years old and room was cold all the time as it didn't get any sun which made it feel damp. Wedding was on and we left for day as music was blaring into the rooms all day. Some staff not as helpful as others. Breakfast is mainly sweet food only.
The views from the restaurant and pool are spectacular. The food in the restaurant was excellent, especially for a hotel. The ladies at the desk, including the owner, were incredibly welcoming, very present & hands-on, a huge help when info-seeking, as well. Free parking. Nice breakfast, with above average variety, and a self-serve auto espresso machine, which is a great luxury to us Americans, who are used to huge coffees. Kids loved the cool bath/shower pod combo.
As stated in other reviews, the sea view in our family quad room was partially obscured by a building. Still, the remaining view was more than sufficient, and we didn't spend a lot of time in our room to begin with. It's the Amalfi coast, after all. Get outside! The beds weren't the best or worst I've slept on. Below average, I'd say. Don't depend on the Wi-fi in the hotel. The router sat on the floor around the corner by the elevator, and the walls, of course, are very thick. Wi-fi signal came in little spurts. Thankfully, my cell phone coverage worked for the little data I needed.
Friendly staff, good location, clean rooms
Limited breakfast options, poor quality we-fi
