the appartment smelt of damp and we had to take our clothes out of the drawers and put them back in our suitcases because of the damp smell
Our agent sent a courtesy text message the day before to check up on our booking. The location is perfect for great places to eat and drink- all the tourist attractions were easily reachable on foot or metro- The cat sanctuary nearby is a lovely little place to visit. Small selection of DVDs and literature available- as well as much needed umbrellas! Very clean and modern fittings, really comfy pillows.
Having received a message from our agent the night before check-in, we were really looking forward to arriving in Rome. We were tempted by the transfer offered from the airport for 49€ but decided to find a cheaper option once we got there. I informed the agent of our airport arrival time (23.10) and she said she'd see us at around midnight. After sharing a taxi for all of 15€ (saving us 34€) we took a little while locating the street (even the taxi driver struggled) and were then lumped with a huge 50€ surcharge for late check-in by the agent. This is an extortionate rate for arriving just after the allocated time- and with no mention of this in advance during our correspondence. In addition to the city tax they whack on, we ended up spending all of our holiday euros within 5 minutes of getting there. Contrary to what the agent specifically told me, Trevi Fountain was closed for renovation, and we failed to find the groceries store "just around the corner". The mattress on the bed is similar to a futon, any more than 5 nights would have been agonising! Wifi connection also very varied in strength throughout the apartment, very weak. &Quot;Satellite" tv box didn't show a single English Channel. The patio area is overlooked by upper floors... We had a pair of knickers dropped down one morning!! Not ideal.
Different locations without a check-in place. It's a terrible experience to find the apartment. No housekeeping.Noisy neiberhood in the midnight.
Location, location, location was great 15-20 mins walk to the centre.
The flat could do with a re-paint and a refresh.
The location was perfect, nice staff.
The air inside the apartment (first floor) felt a bit humid and the patio was, to be frank, awful.
Clean, View of Apartment.
- You have to call them before arrival. There is no receptionist in the building, i.e. somebody is comming from outside on your arrival time to check you in. - The location I see in the map on reservation was very different from the real locaton (Viale Trastevere 60). Later I was lucky to realize the real apartment address that was printed in a small character in the confirmation sheet.
Loved the trastavere neighborhood...the apartment was really spacious, the furnishings were basic but nice. It's easy to get around from here once you figure out the bus system. We loved that there was a grocery store next door. The only downside was that the alley behind the building can be loud in the morning when trucks are making deliveries.
Sanzio apartment's location in Trastevere is great for experiencing some authentic cuisine and nightlife, and you can return home and get away from the tourist traps and hawkers. The whole city is small enough it is possible to walk to any of the main sights within a half hour. Streetcar and taxi access is just around the corner from the apartment.
The Sanzio apartment was a little musty/damp, but that seemed to be a fairly common trait of many of our friends' rooms in Rome as well at the time. The "double" bed seemed to be two twin mattresses under a double-size sheet set.
I would like to say I liked everything and is the right place to stay it's near to everywhere you dont need buses or metro night life is good loads things to do I give this place 6 star if is possible :) 10 mins from vatican city by walking and 20mins to Colosseum if you want any information all shops there help you with friendly talk.and we are planing to comeback again.....
Well equiped and cosy apartment, and you'll find maps and any practical info you need inside. Great location just across the street from the best areas of Trastevere. Very good value for money, if you're comfortable staying in an apartment rather than the classical hotels. Across the bridge and a few tram stops away are all the classic places to see in historic Rome, and bus/tram goes every few minutes. Its also really easy to get here from Fiumicino, train directly from airport to Trastevere - then a few stops on bus/tram to Belli station.
Note that the walls are not the thickest, this is a typical old Italian building. You should expect some noise both from within the building and from the street outside. If that doesn't bother you, this is a great place to stay :)
Location - closer to main attractions Kitchen - fully equipped
Quite small, the pictures indicate otherwise Very noisy street on Friday and Saturday nights Delivered to us unclean and it was cleaned a day after
No Wifi, even though it was said in my booking there would be.
The location was fantastic, the place was clean and comfortable and the wifi perfectly functional (which set it apart from much of the wifi we tried to use on our trip.)
I ran out of hot water when I used the shower the first day, but it was fine when we used it later.
The apartment is very cosy and very clean it has all you need for your holiday and the bathroom ,is big the bed is confortable, is walking distance from all the important monuments. I enjoy my stay here and i hope to be back soon.
The location and the cleanliness. It was also comfortable enough and the cooking equipment good.
The noise volume at night, particularly Saturday night which was very rough!
The size of the flat is great for a couple. Everything is new and the decor is modern and pleasant. The kitchen is fully equiped, the bathroom is spacious and the bed is very comfortable. I highly recomend this apartment for the qualities above and for its great location on a small and quiet road just in the midlle of trastevere that is full of restaurants and great pubs.
The apartment is slighty damp, but there is a dehumidifier that works very good. If you're planning to stay more than 2 days you might aswell bring some extra toilet paper- there were two roles when we arrived.
Walking distance to everything and very handy to a supermarket. The kitchen is small, but excellently equipped enabling us to cook for both ourselves and a guest.
The location of the grocery store was next door.
The closet space there was not much. Also, I did not use the washing machine because I saw that the terrace from the ground did not look safe because it was outside.
We were fully satisfied with the appartment, as everythig is pretty much the same as in description and comments. Great location - Trastevere is probably the cosiest part of Rome for an evening walk and dinner. And it is also close to most of the major sightseeing points. The apartment itself is bright and well equipped, so you can really feel yourself at home. It is very comfortable for two people, and I suppose it would be not too crowded for 4 persons also. I would highly recommend it for travelers visiting Rome.
High humidity of an appartment - we were aware of this as it was stated in other comments. But this was not much of a problem, because as soon as you turn on the conditioner and dehumidifier the humidity is gone. Another thing - when in Rome, don't try Roman cuisine, or do it carefully if you're curious. French cuisine is complicated and delicious, Italian is fresh, simple and also delicious, and Roman.. it's something that I wouldn't serve even for a person that I hate.
