Hotel is located in very center of old town. It is almost a castle – unforgettable. Around 400 m from parking downhill’s. But worse to tire. Breakfast is plain. Very kind owner – many thanks. Ask in advance for parking place, there are a lot of them but mentioned is close and hotel has discounts there. Final price 10 EUR/day.

-Position - very central in Assisi - Family atmosphere - you can help yourself to tea, coffee and fresh cake and biscuits when you feel like it - Clean -The family-owned restaurant in the square has delicious food -Good basic breakfast with coffee machine - We wish we had longer here- hotel and Assisi both lovely - It was difficult to drag our heavy suitcases up the steep stairs!

location is great and the view from the window is refreshing. helpful staff. choiceful breakfast. In Easter it is most convenient to watch and follow the procession towards San Rufino and to rest in the hotel room which is only a few steps away.

We would happily recommend this hotel. Our room (Rosa) looking through its French doors had a great view of Assisi and the lower town. The rooftop common room had a full 360 degree panorama that is breathtaking. Breakfast was good although toast would be appreciated and the hotel's nearby restaurant was competitive with the rest of the town. La Lanterna Ristorante and Pizzeria within 40m of the hotel had great deserts. Wifi was free and worked well in the room and did NOT need to be re-passworded every time you needed to use the device (as we have had to do in Naples). Bed was comfortable and for us the lack of a shower screen was more of a novelty than a wet floor crisis. It's tiled and it dries!! We would have been happy to stay longer!

The owner of the hostel is very nice (the old man). He is very nice for offering the free water/cookie/hot tea/bus ticket, etc. The room is very clean and big. Besides, the location is also very great which is near the bus stop. The shower room is very simple. There is no curtain in the shower room, when I used the shower, the water wet the shower room everywhere.....

This is one of the best hotels we stayed at in Italy. Very small, in an excellent location. Family run, as is their restaurant, just down the road. Being small, meant no gym, but with all the walking around Assisi, who cares.

I love this hotel and my 2 night stay here! It was a very special place located very centrally in Assisi. It is just next to the main square where there are plenty of options to dine out for the evening. The hotel itself is like a family B&B. I loved the 'help yourself' attitude including cakes, tea/coffee, yoghurt at anytime during the day It also had a self-service bar asking that you leave a 2 Euro payment per drink behind the bar for helping yourself to a small selection of alcoholic beverarges. I loved this in the evenings after been out sightseeing all day. As I was on a business trip, normally I stay in business hotels but this option tempted me due to the positive feedback from this website. I was not disappointed. The free arrival pack which included bus tickets, a food card and a hand-held tourism information device was a excellent bonus; I used this for my sightseeing. The hotel management also took great time to help me arrange my onward journeys and even arranged for a local taxis to collect me from the train station for a reasonable 12 Euros. Free Wifi connection was excellent. The hotel is located on a gently slope (as is much of Assisi) and you can only access the hotel by Steps; therefore it would not be suitable for those in wheelchairs or with mobility issues. Will return again Nothing

We stayed here 3 nights and loved this hotel. It is right off the main square. The staff is very helpful, they even helped us move our car to a closer free parking spot. They leave treats out all day which is very nice and the view from the top sitting room is just breathtaking! This was our favorite hotel on our recent Italy vacation.

We stayed in this hotel because it was recommended in the Rick Steves guide. We also ate both nights at their restaurant and found the food quite good. The owners and staff who work in the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable as was the room and bath. The hotel is located in the center of town and easily located and close to the bus stop. This was our favorite stay as Assisi is beautiful, quiet, and inspiring. The wine and pastry jobs were the best I've seen anywhere! There were a quite a lot of steps to the front door to drag big suitcases, but the owner helped with the luggage!

Inside the city of Assisi and wonderful views from their rooms and enclosed rooftop. The breakfast was delicious and the cafe was the best of the trip. The rooms were nice with a unique shower system. Parking is located up the hill a short walk away. The staff was helpful and provide us with a Assisi card to get reduced parking and discounted food in the city. The restaurant Pallotta was a short walk and wonderful food. Up a hill in a pedestrian only area made it hard to navigate to it. There was no elevator so you need to bring up your own bags, so pack lightly. The showers have no screens or curtains, but the entire bathroom is tile, so it doesn't matter. They are only available at the front desk until 6 pm so make sure you check in or you will need to go to the restaurant to get your room.

Great location. Great breakfast. Helpful staff. Clean. Great view from the upstairs sunroom. Also enjoyed our dinner at Trattoria Pallotta and the bar Babina downstairs. Definitely Recommended. The only thing I didn't like was the 'wet' bathroom.

Lovely old-fashioned family run hotel in the heart of the old town. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There's a great restaurant run by the same family a few streets away and hotel guests get 10% off the bill, so do try it. Tea and cake are available free all afternoon and evening. Definitely recommended. Single room is a bit small.

Hotel Trattoria Pallotta is charming and the staff very friendly and helpful. The turret room at the top of the hotel is an added attraction. We much appreciated the free bottled water. The location is excellent and the Hotel also has a restaurant where we enjoyed a very good meal. The price was very fair and the breakfast always fresh and delicious. The shower arrangement in the bathroom is a little 'quirky' but we appreciate that space is at a premium in these old, converted buildings.
