Location, price, staff. The hotel also has a restaurant in the Piazza Comune that I recommend highly.
There is no front reception so if you arrive at an off hour you may have to check with the family's restaurant. Calling the number provided wouldn't have been an option because I had no phone service in Europe. That said, the gallery owner downstairs helped and the restaurant is nearby. Not a deal breaker.
I loved the location of Hotel Pallotta; it was easy to reach any part of the city. The facilities were very clean and there is a magnificent view from the lounge room on the third floor. Breakfast was good and tea time is a very nice touch. I'd happily stay there again.
Helpfulness of staff and location.rooms very quiet and very very clean and overall the hotel is a gem.
The place is beautiful, clean, the breakfast is great and Stefano the owner is a sweet guy. Really awesome. I totally recommend!
Bathroom is little small and the shower head can't pull down.
It was located center of Assisi's old town. Easy to look around small shops and restaurant and not too far to approach to the hill. The room was bright and cozy. They service tea and snack during the afternoon with local original ceramic ware Deluta. That makes feeling special. Their delicate hospitalizing is impressed and comfortable. I've got this place with promotion rate. It was so valuable. Great staying.
Good location and good view for whole sightseeing
Bathroom small, with no glass separating the shower from the rest of the bathroom.
Very friendly staff, I received a map and a city guide. There are snacks and tea/coffee in the afternoon. Good localization.
The helpfulness of Stefano, the proprietor, was above and beyond. The hotel is perfectly located in the centre of Asissi. Great view from the hotel's tower.
If you are a light sleeper, a little noise infiltrates from outside, however Assisi is a quiet place at night, and no cars pass in the area so if you are fine with waking at 7, it really is not a problem.
The place was simply great, central, clean and really charming. Breakfast was good and the owners very generously leave refreshments throughout the day for a tea time snack. We also dined at the family owned trattoria, a few metres down the street and the food was divine. I would highky recommend staying at La Pallotta if you are visiting Assisi.
The manager was very helpful and friendly and assisted me with my travel plans. I felt welcome and the free tea and snacks in the parlor were delicious. The hotel itself is very quaint and homey and clean.
First, hostel is very beutiful builing. And has a great view in terace. Tea time and morning service exellent, and staff is so kind(awsome coffee!!) Room and bed are comfortable.
Location is excellent, staff are kind and friendly, especially Stefano, room is so so and reasonable price. Food of the restauran are delicious, not so expensive.
Nothing. The room was very little, but we did not mind.
customer service! Stefano was very helpful and nice.
- nothing at all
- kindness of the owner - perfect location - possibility to use facility after check out - discounts offered for the very good family restaurant, parking, museum, etc.. - very comfortable room
Good simple room in the middle of the old town.
Trattoria affiliated with hotel was excellent and like the hotel was relatively inexpensive.
The shower in my room was a bit primitive.
This hotel gives plenty of extras like tea every afternoon, free laundry, and bottles of water. Plus there is a wonderful little tower room where you can enjoy the views. Breakfast was wonderful as well. The location was ideal as well.
Location is close to main piazza. Stefano was very helpful; even drove our car in narrow streets to their parking area. We arrived early and able to choose between 2 rooms. Loved the view. Good breakfast and coffee to order. Excellent restaurant owned by same family nearby.
Friendly staff, breakfast AND afternoon tea included, close to everything and a beautiful restaurant in the family.
It was difficult to find. They also have a restaurant with the same name. People sent me to the restaurant. I took me a long time to find the hotel. Park your car first at the Matteo parking and WALK to the hotel. It's a mediaval town. it's difficult to drive (narrow streets).
There was nothing we didn't like.
We liked EVERYTHING! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was very quaint, right in the centre of Assisi. Will certainly be back and would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.
The bathroom was so odd with the shower right in with the sink and toilet..almost impossible to use. All to be overlooked however because of Stephano.
Stephano is what to like, he is a lovely host of a small inn, perfect at what he does. The cappicino was wonderful and we started each day with such pleasantry. The family restaurant was fantastic, a great meal . Our laundry was done for us all ironed and folded....very helpful and a lovely little town.
At the outset ,may I say this is not my first stay at this very excellent Hotel.I had the good fortune to locate Hotel Pallotta Assisi via the it's website in 2011, and I have enjoyed the hospitality of Stefano and his great staff on my five visits to Assisi. Assisi is an enchanting city ,and my visits there have been enhanced on each occasion by the home from home experience at Hotel Pallotta Assisi. Special thanks to Stefano, Lala, Serena and Giampaolo for a wonderful stay. I am looking forward to my return visit for Christmas.
The bathroom is the old small style (sink, toilet, shower all within a 5’ x 5’ area) tight, adequate.
This B & B is in the center of the old town. Either take a taxi and get to within a short walk, or take the bus and it is a downhill 15-20 min. walk. Beware old town Assisi is on a hill. So you are either walking up or down hill. The B & B has steps, both getting in to the lobby and to the rooms. The rooms are very comfortable. The B & B has a tower with some of the greatest views of Assisi and the surrounding areas. Very good breakfast with coffee to order and home make breakfast pastries. Along with several selections of breakfast items. The staff did everything to make your stay pleasant.
The shower location: half the bathroom ends up wet after a shower. The size of the room is on the small side but I would still book there again as the pluses heavily outweigh the minuses.
We selected this small family owned Hotel with the help of Rick Steves' book and booking.com rating. We were not disappointed. The location is awesome. The staff were all very nice, the breakfast was served in a cozy little kitchen. You can have free bottle of water all day long as coffee, tea, cookies and pastries. Not to forget the bonus room: The Belvedere TV which is located at the top of the hotel. You will see a beautiful view of Assisi. Useful to know, some steps to manage. Great quality/price.
