Stephano is what to like, he is a lovely host of a small inn, perfect at what he does. The cappicino was wonderful and we started each day with such pleasantry. The family restaurant was fantastic, a great meal . Our laundry was done for us all ironed and folded....very helpful and a lovely little town.
The bathroom was so odd with the shower right in with the sink and toilet..almost impossible to use. All to be overlooked however because of Stephano.
At the outset ,may I say this is not my first stay at this very excellent Hotel.I had the good fortune to locate Hotel Pallotta Assisi via the it's website in 2011, and I have enjoyed the hospitality of Stefano and his great staff on my five visits to Assisi. Assisi is an enchanting city ,and my visits there have been enhanced on each occasion by the home from home experience at Hotel Pallotta Assisi. Special thanks to Stefano, Lala, Serena and Giampaolo for a wonderful stay. I am looking forward to my return visit for Christmas.
This B & B is in the center of the old town. Either take a taxi and get to within a short walk, or take the bus and it is a downhill 15-20 min. walk. Beware old town Assisi is on a hill. So you are either walking up or down hill. The B & B has steps, both getting in to the lobby and to the rooms. The rooms are very comfortable. The B & B has a tower with some of the greatest views of Assisi and the surrounding areas. Very good breakfast with coffee to order and home make breakfast pastries. Along with several selections of breakfast items. The staff did everything to make your stay pleasant.
The bathroom is the old small style (sink, toilet, shower all within a 5’ x 5’ area) tight, adequate.
We selected this small family owned Hotel with the help of Rick Steves' book and booking.com rating. We were not disappointed. The location is awesome. The staff were all very nice, the breakfast was served in a cozy little kitchen. You can have free bottle of water all day long as coffee, tea, cookies and pastries. Not to forget the bonus room: The Belvedere TV which is located at the top of the hotel. You will see a beautiful view of Assisi. Useful to know, some steps to manage. Great quality/price.
The shower location: half the bathroom ends up wet after a shower. The size of the room is on the small side but I would still book there again as the pluses heavily outweigh the minuses.
location luxury items in bathrooms lovely breakfast and tea facilities excellent coffee very friendly and competent staff very professional
Beautiful setting, wonderful owner. Treated us like long-lost friends. Facility is spic and span clean. Breakfast was excellent, as was afternoon treats. We had a great time and would highly recommend this hotel to our friends and family.
Stefano gives personal attention, is helpful and very much available. Laundry can be arranged, care of cleaning lady Lala!
Just a bit noisy sometimes on the street outside.
Stefano was helpful and attentive; he'll even make your cappuccino for you! Lala the cleaning lady did my laundry for me!
Not much; sometimes the street outside was noisy, but it died down eventually.
Amazing view, very centrally located, friendly staff
Very nice proprietor.
Street noise and hot at night.
Location was excellent. This hotel had laundry facilities for very low prices. Our favorite part of the hotel was the beautiful little sitting room with huge windows that overlooked town. Some of our best memories are sitting in these windows and chatting at night.
My only dislike was the bathroom. It was a very small room with an unenclosed shower so the bathroom would get very wet. They would clean it up each day though so it wasn't terrible.
Hotel Pallotta is the best hotel in its segment of 3 star hotels I ve ever stayed. It is a family owned business and family members work there making their job on a very high level. My best compliments! It's so friendly, comfortable, clean, breakfast is good and pretty diverse with home made pastry. Also they have restaurant nearby- don't miss it! Pretty simple but very fresh and tasty food at honest price. Deep respect for doing great job and many thanks to Stefan, Stefania and their parents! Very central location.
The only thing is that there is no partition between toilet and shower which results in all the bathroom wet after you take a shower. But fir me it was not a problem.
The staff of Hotel Pallotta is the best staff ever. Steffano is very gentle manager. The location is perfect, very convenient. It is just a couple of minutes from everywhere in Assisi.
The towels are not regular. Other than that everything was perfect.
Staff really friendly and helpful. Excellent location in Assisi, food good for breakfast and tea. Great upper balcony to view the scenery
Stefano was very kind and gentle. When I was check in Stefano Wonderful view and cozy room.
I saw much dust on the table and telephone. Please keep clean. Could not use WiFi on mobile maybe only laptop can use WiFi.
Very helpful, friendly staff. Went out of there way to make sure we were comfortable. Very handy location, bus in from the train station then able to easily walk to everything. Loved it, thanks Stefano.
The no shower stall in the bathroom you'll read about was really no big deal, that just how they do things. Deal with it.
The hotel's location, the extreme helpfulness of the manager and the help-yourself to cake and tea facility. Excellent value for money.
The Wi-Fi signal was only strong enough downstairs.
The location and the quaint Italian charm of the hotel. They were super nice to help with our laundry in their small laundry room in the top floor.
No air conditioning on a warm night made things a little challenging. Opening the window brought in all the noise from the piazza.
The owner is very nice and friendly. We were very happy while staying there.
No hair dryer
The location was perfect. The wonderful afternoon tea and cakes as well as an breakfast was included. The sunsets from the rooftop solarium were amazing. They offered 10% discount at the Trattoria Pallota, where the food was exceptional!
The shower in the ensuite bath has no curtain and the water pours all over the space, which is interesting.
it was the most magical place to stay. Assisi is beautiful but the stay at Hotel Pallotta made the place of Assisi magical.Stefano was an excellent host, he made your stay comfortable and went the extra mile. he had a wealth of information and his friendliest was beyond excellent. The view from my room was awesome. Was in Italy for 2 weeks and this was the best place to stay.
Staff gave good map and book to use. Top end of town near bus terminal and sights.Nice tower room . great view. Afternoon tea and good coffee any time . felt like home.
Internet only seemed to be available in reception area.
good location, free cookie and cozy room with great view! i felt like a home.
water pressure was bit weak in shower but it was okay.
This is one of the nicest little hotels we have stayed in in Europe (now more than 24 weeks across 4 holidays). Tasteful decor, wonderful, helpful staff who provided a warm and relaxed family atmosphere and there is a real "generosity of spirit" in everything they do. A special thank you to the owner, Stefano, for ensuring we got away in good time with a good breakfast to catch our early train. We loved our room with its double doors out onto a little Italian balcony with views from our bed straight down to one of the (many) duomos + valley below. We also enjoyed a magnificent meal for a very reasonable price at the family restaurant (also named Pallotta) off the main square (Commune). I highly recommend both the hotel and the restaurant. In the final analysis, the simple test is ... "In hindsight, would we stay at Hotel Trattoria Pallotta?". Answer: ABSOLUTELY!!!
It was right in the middle of Assisi Fabulous view from my window Delicious breakfast Booking included guide book & discount card
A little difficult to find at first WIFI was difficult to log into - sometimes had to turn my phone on/off for it to work Bathroom could have been cleaned a little better before arrival.
