Location (100m from metro station, breakfast in front of the Colosseum), great personal attention from Andrea, clean room, excellent tv/wifi. (Rating 8/10)
Noisy building (you could clearly hear other guest entering the building, people above, and neighbours starting constructions at 08.15 in the morning). Tiny shower cabin (for larger people). Had to wait 15 minutes for a closed door at arrival, as the owner had to come from a different B&B. Despite these inconveniences we had a great stay, Andrea was the best host we ever had! (Rating 8/10)
The Hospitality of the Gent. Who wait us, Mr. Andrea. Location, comfort of the bed, and much more.
Great location, super-friendly and helpful staff. Immaculately clean.
Excellent location, pleasant service, easy access. Overall a pleasure to be next to the Colosseum, and to enjoy Rome at its best.
The breakfast could be more varied than a drink and a croissant, but that is not a problem in a city like Rome.
Spacious room for 3 people sharing! Fantastic location just to the left of the Colloseum. Andrea was friendly giving us great traval tips whilst in Rome!
The crossaints at oppio cafe next door where breakfast was served was average. No variety!
Location Comfort Management
Perfect location, just next to colosseo. 1 minute walk to metro station. Newly renovated room. Very friendly staff/boss; does not speak English well, but enough. Reconmended!
We will definately come back to Tre R Colleseo on our next trip to Rome. Andrea and Luciano made our stay Perfect. Thank you.
Having to leave Rome and the Tre R Colleseo...
Best best bedt location wonderfull in everything
Andrea was great from the start. He emailed me before my flight to offer a ride from the airport to the hotel. Once we arrived, we were quickly greeted by the friendly Andrea and he told us everything we needed to know based on what we told him the goal of our trip was. Restaurants, bars, monuments, best times to go, shortcuts, you name it. He also made himself available via email 24 hours a day (even though we didn't require it because everything we needed was already provided). The room was spacious considering we were three good sized Americans and the cleanliness was top notch. The wifi was good enough for what we needed and everything else needed for a comfortable stay was provided. Right outside the front door to the hotel is the awesome Colosseo (colosseum for us Yanks). Not too far of a walk in the other direction and you get a real local feel of Rome with family restaurants and bars filled with people yelling at each other in Italian (or having a friendly chat, who knows). The bottom line is you will definitely not be disappointed staying at this hotel. Book here, and you will have one less thing to worry about on your trip.
The only thing I can really say was a little inconvenient was the size of the shower. But that was consistent with every other shower in Europe so I can't really knock the place for that. Perhaps it's incentive for us hefty Yanks to shed a few pounds?
As mentioned we were in a great location within walking distance to most of the great sights of Rome. Accommodation was clean comfortable and perfectly adequate for our needs over the three days that we stayed.
No English speaking channels were tuned in on the satellite TV, and the small fridge could worked a little better.
Based on the great reviews, we were looking forward to coming to this place. The building is across from the Colosseum. Andrea seemed very nice. However, the room that we were given was very small and there was no view. Our window faced some exhaust pipes from the inside of the building and it had some strange smell. Luckliy a friend of ours in Rome told us we can find something better for the same price. Therefore we moved out after the second night and we ended up near the Pantheon with a nicer room, more space and we had a much nicer experience elsewhere.
There is no view from our room. Even in front of the entrance, there are scaffolds covering the Colosseum. We have stayed at many places in Italy. This was the most disappointing experience for us. They also overcharged us. The owner is more keen on making money more than anything else. He even told us not to share our bad experience here with others. We are disappointed to have chosen this place and feel misled by the glowing reviews. It was our mistake to come here. Our friend in Rome told us we should get a much better room for the price that we pay here. He was right.
3 modern apartments make up the Tre R Colosseo. The colosseum is only over the road so great location. Free breakfast at the cafe next door which was good quality croissant & coffee. Free woof throughout the stay which was very fast. Owner Andrea was a great help telling us exactly how to get to places & very friendly. Rooms were cleaned every day & fresh towels & bedding left. Highly recommended!
The bed was a little uncomfortable - but nothing major - we still would definitely come back here!
location, size of room and facilities it provided.
there was a sensor light in the room that kept us awake the first night. could not find switch to disable it so taped over sensor.
My husband and I stayed at this hotel and were very pleased. Andrea was very accommodating and the room was a great value. I would recommend to anyone wanting to stay central in Rome.
1) Andrea has treated us very well, sending us emails almost every time asking if we need anything 2) Location has been incredible! Right in front of the Colliseum 3) Breakfast was really basic but having the view of the Colliseum right in front of you compensates everything 4) Apartment was very modern, good quality furnitures, always very clean 5) Wifi worked very well 6) As there were just three appartment it was always very calm and silence
The location is the best atribute of this hotel. Just in front of the Roman Coloseum, and roman forum the metro station is at the next bolck, one block away of Sain Pietro in Vincoli Basilica ( statue of the Moses of Michelangelo) three blocks from Monti. 15 minutes walking diatance to Fontana di Trevi and a little more the the spanish steps. The hotel was simple but perfect. Confortable rooms for being in europe, clean, exelent bathrooms. Andrea the owner was supper available and helpful. Breakfast simple but good. Its a boutique concept hotel. God hot water and good wifi.
We liked everything about the accomodation, the location was perfect, room was modern and very well fitted out,no complaints and very quiet considering it was in a very busy part of town. Also the host was very welcoming and helpful.
Breakfast was very poor with no choice,a small cappuchino and a croissant does not constitute a breakfast in my eyes especially when you have full days out,i"m not after a full english but a little more choice would be good as you are paying a premium for bed and breakfast.
Really enjoyed the room; it was quite large and very clean. Breakfast at the cafe next door was a real treat with an incredible view.
Located close to main attractions. Shops and restaurants within walking distance. Room has good sound proofing.
Location, size, cleanliness, set up, This is a 3 room facility, feels like home. Walk out the door to stand across from The Coloseum. 3 restaurants 1 minute walk. Would definitely recommend.
Great location . Clean newly remodeled B&B . Owner and his father were fantastic so helpful !
There is nothing I didn't like
On behalf of my mother-in-law "The Tre R Colossio run by Andrea and his father was a fantastic guesthouse close to all the attractions; the Colosseum is not more than a 1 minute walk across the road! The room was exceptionally clean, bright and modern. The personal feel of a smaller guesthouse suited me better than a large hotel. The private bathroom and shower was welcoming after a long days sightseeing. Busses to get around the city are plentiful and stops are very close. Breakfast is taken in the adjoining cafe next door to the Colossio and was included in the price. The coffee and croissant was high quality and a great start to the day. The owners are lovely people and cannot do enough to help you- without their help my stay would have been a disaster due to lost luggage. Andrea and his father went far beyond what was needed to get my cases returned. Travelling on my own (which I have only done once before) they put me at ease and made my stay all the more enjoyable. I would certainly recommend the Tre R Colosseo, and would never stay anywhere else in Rome. Thanks Andrea, would hope to see you again." Elizabeth Mcshea
I highly recommend this place. It's in an excellent location. Literally across from the Colosseum and closed to everything. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Andreas was wonderful and gave us all the information we needed to go around Rome. He also provided us with a portable wifi that helped us when walking around the city. Wonderful place.
The apartments are beautiful - old fashioned building with neatly arranged clean apartments. WiFi working perfectly. Right in front of the building there is a nice restaurant with happy hour in the evening. Excellent mediterranean cuisine.
