In a 19th-century English-style building, Hotel Galles offers air-conditioned rooms just a 5 minute walk from Roma Termini Station and 0.3 miles from Rome's La Sapienza University.
Score from 408 reviews Good
Location good - close to Castro Pretorio Metro station. Room size very good. Comfortable seats in breakfast area. Daily room make up was good.
Room including curtains and wardrobe stank of stale cigarettes. Shower rose broken. Toilet cistern sprays water over bathroom as it fills. WiFi useless & mostly at 1Mbit/second. All rooms require stairs as lift stops on the landings between floors only. 1 croissant, 3 bread rolls & coffee/tea for breakfast. Staff openly fraternised with smokers in the building vestibule thus allowing cigrarette smoke to waft up the stairwell.. Hotel easily missed as no obvious signage on the street. Will never return to this hotel.
Nothing was nice about this hotel...even calling it a hotel is a compliment I would rather not give it
The location, better off stayin nearer to termini. The room was tiny with an uncomfortable bed but the noise was the worst. Right next to a hospital, sirens went all night and the noise from other guests was very auidable through paper thin walls. Nothing about this place was nice
Bathroom - toilet seat and shower head broken Cleanliness All of the above to be expected for the price though!
Cheap(ish) place to stay in a big city that is Rome. Hotel is located in a building along with three others. AC was good, and location is within a 5 minute walk to Termini station.
Breakfast was poor, at best. Consisted of bread and jam. Butter was mouldy one morning!
Our room was cleaned everyday and fresh towels were provided every day. Breakfast was basic but it filled us so no complaints there. Great location. Nearby restaurant Tre Archi was very good.
There was a horrible smell in the bathroom (like pee). It did not reduce even with the exhaust on for hours.
Very good location close to Metro and termini station.
The shower cabin was tiny and a bit claustrophobic.
Staff is nice and helpful. Very close to the railway station termini. Easy to go everywhere.
Location not far from termini.
Small bathroom with poor toiletries and towels.bad wifi connection except at the bar.
Very satisfied with the hotel, all is fine.we have a happy trip. Thanks for their service.
The breakfast as Not much to offer and needs more options
Very close to shops and restaurants, affordable and great customer service. Friendly workers and 5 minutes from the station.
good location-close to the Termini, friendly staff
close to the railway station termini
The walls is very durty, and the toilet lid is broken
Cheap accommodation in central Rome. An okay budget hotel with good location near the train station Termini.
A run-down hotel with consistently poor standard. Very simple breakfast (coffee and bread), wifi only in reception and bar, an elevator that looks like it will fail.
Close to center.
Staff wasn't nice.
the location was interesting for tourist.Close to Metro .Easy to go everywhere.
Not many choice for breakfest,no glass in the room and only one electric plug.
Staff was extra courteous and helpful.
The Hotel was close to Termini and had a Bank over the road.
The Hotel has a bar with no alcohol in it!
Easy walk to Termini.
Our passports were left at the reception with nobody around where anybody off the street could have easily taken them, the shower was ridiculously small, and the entire place could use a good dusting.
The breakfast coffee.
We were prepared to pay more to have a private bathroom but we didn't like the sheeting type (non towelling) towels. The room itself was tiny though there were plenty of cupboards. I thought that being a bit further away from termini the hotel would be nicer for the extra money and I was wrong. For the price they should have given a better breakfast than just croissant and coffee.
Staff, tiny elevator, old rooms, no storage room (they use the lobby)
Access to wifi, basic room amenities not available
Near to Termini station. Near to Castro Pretorio metro station. Big room.
The worst place I have ever been to. Every thing in the room was old and the furniture was dark making the room appear very dark too. you couldn't use the towels, if you go there, bring your own towels. the bed linen and blankets were all very old. There was no wifi in the room only in the dining area. I do not recommend this hotel. The dining room was very small and we had to wait a long time till a table became available for a mere croissant and hot drink.
