The room was clean, spacious and classy! The staff was very polite

The breakfast is appallingly poor- not even a fresh roll, just cheap sliced bread. A plate is handed to you each morning, containing 6 slices each of banana, kiwi and orange. One croissant per person, a bit of cereal and yogurt. Oh - a cold boiled egg. Abysmal. The room was a reasonable size, with a small sitting area, which was good for leaving our suitcases. One small wardrobe with a few wire and plastic hangers- I honestly thought these were now extinct outside of shops. The towels were of good quality, bit the bathroom was tiny - this in a "deluxe" room. The shower was ridiculously small, shoehorned in between the sink and a wall, with a cheap plastic tray thing which hung over the cubicle wall. Every time I moved I'd knock the damn tray thing, which send one or more items tumbling to the floor of the shower. It was so small that it was impossible to bend down to pick the things up again. Instead I'd have to bend my knees and kind of go straight down and fumble under myself to pick the things up again, then use only the strength of my knees to get upright again. If you're a wet shaver, forget it. By the time you get sufficient water in the sink, you'll need to take shears to your face, not a razor. Also, the room was cold, as was most of the hotel. When we asked about this we were given a letter, explaining that Italian law prevents them from using the heating for more than 8 hours a day! Have you ever heard such guff? There was however an air conditioning unit which we used a lot. Would I go back there again? Yeah, as if. Expensive and inadequate and the location, although quiet at the back, where we were, is not good at all.
Great bed and pillows, with good quality linen and towels.

Kind, thoughtful and knowledgeable owners (and son). Fantastic rooms. Within minutes of great food beyond the city center.

The room was very nicely furnished, all high quality feel and beautiful. Very special bathroom with lots of rocks and good ideas. We did enjoy the quiet room, a picnic in the garden, the good breakfast and the nice service. It feels very private as well. The location is practical, as we managed to park directly in front of the villa (easy parking after 6pm and just ignore the ticket vending machine) and it is just a short walk into the city.

The street was very busy and not inviting for strolling or people watching. Near the train station, but too far from most tourist attractions. Some nearby streets seemed uninviting after dark.
Very helpful and informative welcome that provided good tips on dining. Reception arranged for the morning staff to serve breakfast early so that we could catch an early flight. Very comfortable and well decorated room. Interesting lounge. Quiet both day and night.

it's more a suggestion that "i didn't like" It would be great if they and two keys to the B&B when two people share a room...
Location was awesome. Close to the center to the city but not that close to be noisy. SMN train station is few minutes walk, very convenient if you are planning to visit other cities in Toscana. The staff was very nice and friendly. The room was enormous with a "balcony" which was more of a terrace with a garden and garden set to enjoy a drink or coffee. The murano glass chandeliers and deco were beautiful.

I know it's not a hotel but it would be good to provide an iron - particularly for people who are travelling from one location to the next and need to look smart.
Beautiful house, lovely room, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast, nice location near the station and out of touristville. Twenty min walk along the Arno to the centre. In terms of value for money and uniqueness - the best place I've ever stayed. I would love to go back and have told friends and family.

This unique-decorated hotel is 10~15min walking to main train station. Breakfast buffet is good. But the first day during our stay the access to internet was broken due to some tele company problem.
17 October 2014
Not so close to the city center, noisy, you must pay for the stay the moment you check in, you have to pay 10 eur to change towels sooner than 3 days
Very clean, attention to details, breakfast ok

Our room was very large. The bathroom had a shower but no bath which is common in Italy. The breakfast was very good served in a lovely room. Short walking distance to the old part of Florence. The staff was very acommodating. They let us leave our luggage there after checking out so we could do some more sight seeing more easily

Trentatre was the most friendly, warm and cozy hotel I have ever been. Amazing staff, simple and tasteful breakfast with few tips that made you feel like home. Big, clean, bright and comfortable rooms with a traditional Italian style and a cute balcony. Modern and stylish bathroom. We had a wonderful long weekend and I totally recommend the hotel!! P.S There is a parking in front of the hotel and you need appr 15-20min walk to the town center in case you dont use the car.

Beautiful in-town property. Excellent staff. Convenient location within walking distance to points of interest.

Cannot think of anything
Can't say enough. Room was gorgous. Staff was great. Good breakfast. Location not too far from train station and the city center.

This house is located near a busy road and is located approximately 30-40 minutes’ walk from the centre of Florence. The immediate vicinity is not scenic, and the location is not convenient for reaching the majority of places of interest in the city centre. It should be noted that this is not a hotel, but is rather a bed and breakfast which unfortunately has very limited reception service. This was inconvenient for two reasons: 1) Several weeks before our arrival we had contacted Trentatre by email to inform them that we would be arriving after their weekday reception closed at 19:00, and they had replied to confirm that this was acceptable. However, we were contacted again just two days before our arrival and were told that we had not confirmed our time of arrival, and were threatened with either a €20 fine or to be stranded at the door. We replied immediately to confirm our time of arrival for the second time, but we did not get a reply. This left us worried that there may not be anybody present to greet us upon arrival. While the cleaning lady was there to open the door for us, we found the whole ordeal unnecessarily stressful. 2) On the weekend there is no reception service at all after midday, which we found to be particularly inconvenient. Although when we called the front door bell for help we were greeted by the owners and they did try to help us, we were given the impression that we had disturbed their weekend and that we had inconvenienced them as a result. Our suggestion would be that the owners should employ someone to run the reception in their absence. While Trentatre was generally well decorated, we felt that the modern wardrobes installed in the room clashed with the classical design. In addition, the corridors and staircases were dark due to the fact that the lights were on a timer (perhaps automatic lighting would be better?), this made walking in these areas hazardous.
The room and bathroom were spacious. The bed was firm, but comfortable. Classical decoration and good security.

Only thing was bed was too hard... But every hotel in Italy we stayed at had hard beds! :-(
Josie was great, made stay very enjoyable. Very accommodating. Great rooms!

The distance from city and difficulty with getting transport
We thought we were going to be closer to city centre and found it difficult with transfer especially after hours. When staff were on duty, we found them faultless and went out of their way to assist us, the residence was beautiful and we loved the mix of old and new. Thankyou so much Catherine

Nothing. Cannot fault this accommodation.
This is much more than your average B & B should be named a luxury guest house! Conveniently situated, excellent helpful staff and good breakfast. The addition of the unique decor in our room and access to a lovely garden (other rooms had balcony view) made our stay memorable.

We stayed in the "stone" room and it was delightful. A basement room with private garden, awesome bathroom, very comfortable bed and beautifully decorated! The best place of the holiday for sure. Really nice breakfast too and very friendly staff.

What's not to like? However, the cream puffs in the pastry shop down the street, I had to discover on my own. :( and on the day before we left!
Very cozy room and small sitting room. Lovely balcony and comfortable accommodations. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was always good. Good restaurant suggestions in the neighborhood so we avoided a lot of touristy places and had wonderful dinners out.
