Everything was excellent! Beautiful, comfortable, ancient, well located, clean...! Would definitely stay here again!
Enjoyed the trulli stay. So nice but historic. Not far from Locorotondo and Arberbello. Maria was so helpful and made pur trip better. Great market day and recommended restaurant. Washer.
Was a little cold between seasons and we did not ask for the heat to be turned on.
everthing except finding it...
hard to find - directions need to be much better
Maria collected me from the train station and took me back the next day, for a solo traveler using public transport this was great as the trulli is in a beautiful location away from the town, super helpful host.
Stayed here for 2 nights on our Italian cycling trip. The young lady who owns the trulli is excellent, very helpful and welcoming, nothing too much trouble for her.Loved our stay in this gorgeous place. We had a fabulous time.
Maria, the owner is really helpful. Trulli is fully equipped-perfect for longer staying. We just regret that we didn't have time to stay longer.
+ we were supported with maps and devices to find our way in the surroundings
After a tortuous ferry trip from Albania to Brindisi, a 1 & 1/2 hour exit and customs delay, and a consequential 11pm arrival at this bit of paradise, Maria (and her father) nevertheless welcomed us with open arms. Nothing was too much trouble and she had prepared a large bowl of seasonal fruits (plums and figs), tomatoes and a newly-baked loaf of bread from her mother. The trulli is set in the countryside, on a hilltop with a number of others, and has sweeping views of the countryside form outside. Inside you are in a different world, with its metre thick walls (in places) and tunneled windows, which make it snug and cosy. Maria, herself was exceptional and when we decided to cook pasta one night she offered her some of her mother's freshly cooked tomato pasta sauce with basil. It was superb. I trust others will find this trullo as enjoyable to stay in as we did! One small note, make sure you have a GPS or you're a good navigator, as there are many small back roads in this area to get lost in. (There is an excellent family-run supermarket nearby at St Marco by the way)
We met the owner, Maria, at her mother's house so that she could have us follow her to the Trullo. The minute we walked into the trullo, I gave Maria a big hug because it was even more beautiful and unique than the photos. Maria is a lovely young lady who could not have been more helpful. She answered my many email questions and between my limited understanding of Italian and her much better understanding of English we understood each other perfectly. She takes such pride in her trulli houses. It was spotlessly clean and even has a washing machine! The working kitchen is beautiful with everything you need for cooking. We made a delicious orichette pasta meal and enjoyed it more than any fancy restaurant. The beds are so comfortable and the two big bedrooms were perfect for my adult son and me. Maria has great suggestions for places to visit. The finale was the last day when she came to bid us farewell with a photo album she showed us of the original structure and phases of construction. This is a very special place with a VERY special owner. (Did I mention the fresh cherries and olive oil from her family's farm) We look forward to returning again as it was the highlight of our trip to Puglia
Out in the country and it was a relief to be away from tourists. Mara was an excellent resource. She speaks a little of many languages - fluent in Japanese. She was an excellent guide of the area and drove us to wonderful places to eat and places to see.
Nothing to dislike.
We had everything we needed in the Trullo, also to self-cooking. Maria was so lovely, helpful and uncomplicated. The given informations were great. For the surroundings, a GPS is highly recommended.
Friendly owner, Maria is very helpful
Just a warning if you are driving, a GPS navigator is essential as the area is criss crossed by a maze of small roads, not well signposted
