Daniela, the owner, is a wonderful host. The property is classic trullo with 3 rooms, a comfortable common area, a garden, and a rooftop terrace. It is located right in the center of the historic area. Rooms are clean and comfortable with basic furnishings. Ensuite had a bathtub (actually a jetted tub) - the only one we encountered in Italy this trip.
- When you arrive, you'll need to park in one of the public lots on the main street through town. It costs a couple of euros an hour or 6 euros for the whole day (overnight parking is free in the lots from 10 pm to 9 am). Daniela can tell you where to park free, so you might want to just feed the minimum into the machine while you go check in.
- You won't need your car in Alberobello, everything is within walking distance from Pietradimora. --- But this town gets pretty crowded and noisy during the day with many tour buses and school outings. Think about touring outside of Alberobello during the day and enjoying the town after 6 or 7 pm when most of the tours have left.
- Some of the better restaurants in town are tiny and you'll need to reserve a table. Ask Daniela when you arrive.
