Recomend having a car
The view is fantastic. The rooms are very comfortable and very clean. We staied there 5 nights and occupied 2 rooms with our children. Small kitchen facility is very convenient. Many thanks to Nunza for the hospitility. Delicious breakfasts with home-made cakes !
This was an amazing place to stay. We loved it and recommend it to anyone. It's ckean, quiet and away from the high traffic of a tourist town. The view is fantastic and it exceeded our expectations. Very very satisfied :)
The room was very spacious, clean and although our bathroom was outside of the room, it was right beside our bedroom and still private (a courtain separated our room + bedroom from the other b&b amenities). Our host was extremely nice. She prepared us an excellent breakfast with home made cake every day, which was delicious. She also helped us A LOT calling the airport more than once to check upon our bags (that arrived later after our flight) and negotiate their delivery. She also recommended us her cousin's restaurant, which is close by and where we had our best meal in Italy (no kidding). To top all of that, we had the most amazing view from our bedroom, and our stay was amazing. We would definitely stay there again.
The place was very difficult to get to. You can only use your car to get to a certain point, and then you need to walk (for about 10 minutes) to get to the b&b. Note that you need to walk through a small path full of stairs, so it is not easy to do if you have big bags or if you have bad knees (but that goes for Positano in general :p). The first impression of this path is that it is not so safe, but it is, don't worry (we walked through it several times at night and had absolutely no problem. After the 2nd time we were no longer worried, and the path is well lit at night). Also, the place is in Montepercuso, not Positano, so you need to either take the bus to get to Positano (which takes around 40 minutes) or go down a thousand steps (literally) to get to the city. Other than that, wifi was a bit unreliable (went down several times).
We loved our stay at L’Uliveto! The view from our room was magnificent! Nunzia, our hostess, was kind and helpful. She and her daughter helped us with our bags the night we arrived, up and down steps and corridors. The location is above Positano, which involves a lot of steps, but we loved being away from the tourist scene in town. We hope to return and hope to see Nunzia and her lovely family again!
We didn’t like leaving
We booked this at the last minute but were really pleased. It is in a beautiful spot overlooking the sea. It is very clean and comfortable and the owner was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful.
It is quite a long walk down steps to get into Positano (about 35 minutes). Booking.com sent a confirmation to say there would be no extra charge for the car parking space we reserved but we did have to pay 10 Euros (we didn't mind paying 10 Euros, but it would've been better if that was stated)
The place is amazing, very confortable and great view. We were very well received. The access is not hard at all, a bus up about 20 min and a walk down about the same time. Delicious home made breakfast. We really recomend.
Nunzia is the best host a guest could ask for her! She is friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful with directions and recommendations in Montepertuso and Positano. We had chilled proseco waiting for us when we arrived. The view from our window was unbeatable and we could not have had the experience we had had we stayed just the short walk down to Positano. We loved taking the stairs and are in good shape note great. There is also a bus and availability to rent a small car for those that do not want to walk as much. We were there everyday but enjoyed all the great food at night in Montepertuso. IL Ritrovo and La Tera are our most favorite restaurants. We had a great meal at Donna Rosa, just a little pricier. The short walk up to Fattoria La Tagliata, just past La Tera is totally worth it for the wine, the service and the incredible view! We were there for our honeymoon and wouldn't change a thing except maybe staying longer. The week flew by and there was so much still to do in town, paddle boarding, cooking classes, just walking and enjoying the great food and wine during the day. Thanks Nunzia for the amazing welcome and wonderful experience!! We will be back to stay with you!
Great views from our balcony. Nice big bathroom adjoining our room. Hostess was unbelievable and very accommodating
Far too many steps to get to and fro
Advice and help from the host, beautiful home, beautiful views. There are a lot of steps but it's not much of an issue, quite nice to walk down and if not its easy to get the bus! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
We enjoyed our stay very much at L'Uliveto. Nunzia was so kind with us and make us feel like home. The breackfast was very good, the room as well but the best is the view of the Mediterranean sea from our balcony! amazing sunsets from there.
Probably we could mentioned the location but we really enjoy going down the stairs. Of course I would recomend to take the bus to go back to the B&B!
Staff is very friendly - helped us throughout our stay a lot! Our thanx to them! Breakfast is: coffee + home made biscuits (different every time) + yoghurt + juice. Enough to get hungry only by noon. Location is very high in the mountains with a long way to the beach (30 mins down, 40 - up) - it was great for us but most other people (especially of an older age) will certainly find it too difficult (there is a bus for them though).
Be aware that the bus from the beach to the B&B goes only once per hour. The latest one departs at ca 23.20.
Super friendly and helpful host family and an awesome location overlooking all of positano. Would recommend for everyone to stay here!
+Wonderful sea view +Lovely and helpful service +Great breakfast +Great rooms
We had a fantastic time staying here, the B&B was perfect! Magnificent views, delicious breakfast and lovely hosts who were very helpful. It was nice staying out of busy Positano and we loved how peaceful it was. Would definitely recommend!
The warm Italian welcome (And the home made jam) being in a little piece of "real" Italia - away from the honey pot of Positano - but close enough to visit - the stunning views of the coast and the location close to two excellent restaurants. The 30 min walk down to Positano - well worth it for the views and catching the local bus back up.
Nothing really - The steps are not too bad - but you do need to be mobile to get to the accommodation - and pack light. The restaurant opposite the bus stop was pricey and not as good as you'd hope it would be. The other two further up the hill we're great.
The owner was extremely kind, helped us to organize the excursions the next days, picked us up at the parking lot. The breakfast is amazing with hand made sweets.
