The ultramodern Hotel Straf is just 165 ft from Milan Cathedral. It has a 24-hour gym and an international restaurant, and its rooms have large bathrooms with luxurious bathrobes and slippers.
Score from 547 reviews Very good
Close proximity to metro and train to malpensa airport. We were able to walk to the key points of interest and the hotel staff were generally very helpful.
- location (700m from Railway to Malpensa Airport) right around Castello and park, Brera district, under 10min to Duomo. Outlet buses main parking on the other side of the street! - Junior Suite nicely arranged, free minibar and Wifi, double glass window to isolate from window traffic - breakfast during wknd till 11a, nice although "Italian style" - can be limited choice for some - beds, very comfortable after long walks, again maybe too hard for some
- quite pricey for off season
Good location, quiet place. Friendly staff. Spacious rooms.
Mosquitoes in the room. No porridge for breakfast.
Very handy to everything- shopping, sightseeing, parks, and the train station with express link to airport so there was no need for a taxi. Great places to eat around the corner. Breakfast was excellent- lots of choice. Nice quiet room and very clean.
One person was very abrupt with us and gave us lousy directions which cost us 40 minutes searching on foot, but everyone else was very friendly and helpful. The extras are very expensive so stick to what is included. I was given free wifi as a courtesy but surprised to find out it wasn't included- that's pretty much standard around the world now.
Perfect location, lovely pedestrian walk to Duomo. Clean modern rooms.
Couldn't sleep at all because of street noise from cars and non-stop trams. Even though we didn't open any windows, we had Mosquitos in the room. Breakfast (food and service) was below average.
Location was great ! It was close from everything ....you can easily walk to visit Milano. In general the staff was good. Breakfast was a okay buffet. Bed are very comfortable and everything is very cleaned. Also the baggagiste person is very nice, he carried our luggage from car to room and vice versa few time.
Some of the staff pretend they speak English but they don't understand you at all! The first night was horrible as the room we have been given upstairs ( last floor) had a broken air con, Mosquitos were escaping from broken air con at night which made our night Hell, after I have shown the bites on my arms to the staff , they immediately changed our room with big apology but they haven't offered anything as gift or anything for the inconvenience. Not only that, the room we originally paid for was a a room with Big bathroom including bath and shower and was very big as we wanted, the one they have us for the rest of our stay was just a standard room! Of course, they haven't reimburse us the difference of price between two rooms.... I am not the kind of person to ask but I would have appreciate a better outcome for all the issues we had during our stay over there. Final outcome is that the Una hotel has a poor service and poor way to resolve issues in their hotel . It is not convincing for the price you pay for.
Very helpfull staff. Fantastic location - near Via Dante ( shopping street), walking distance to Duomo, La Scala theatre. Clean rooms. Good for any kind of trip -business/shopping/vacation.
1) No iron in the room, you must give it back after use. Hotel with such room rate must have iron in the room. 2) Poor breakfast in general and very small selection of cheese ( in the country of cheese :)
The hotel is absolutly excellent!! Very close to the centre, super service, very comfteble, all you need in your vacation!!!! I will back for sure!!
The price of the parking is too expencive 30€ for 1day...
Location is great!
To charge 10 euros for ice! Confuse service in the breakfast.
Location was excellent, within easy walking distance of attractions. Room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Great location, nice room
Very expensive for what it is
Wonderful hotel, very nicely placed (It just cannot get better than that) and a lovely personnel. It was completely full when we arrived and had a nice price in order to check in to a suite with wi-fi and free minibar. All in all we will be back again in such hotel, the only thing that we didn't understand is how on earth Wi-Fi was not available in cheaper rooms, rather than that, the room, the views, the location, A+++. It might not be the best room I have ever been in my last ten years, but it is surely one of the best 2, saying that we are pleased, is a understatement. Lovely, highly recommended.
الموقع رائع و نظيف و تعامل الموظفين ممتاز Location is excellent, clean , staff are excellent
الاثاث قديم و الازعاج من الشارع و الفطور اقل من عادي Furniture is old. Noise from street. Breakfast is poor
The hotel is situation about 7 minute walk from il Duomo and surrounding attractions. Close to Malpensa train too. The best way to get to Milan airport. Rooms are a great size and we had complimentary mini bar. Should be more of it. Internet dropped out a bit but heh you not using it that much in a city like Milan. Breakfast was also good with adequate selection.
Not much not to like about the hotel. Door was a little hard to open but it was good exercise shouldering it and living the experience of busting into a hotel room in search of criminals.
The location is excellent, 5 minutes away from the Duomo
Wifi connection is quite bad + had to pay for it, 12€ per day
Location was very good and rooms were very clean.
Breakfast was poor.
Room was very clean and new. 10 min walking to the city center (bar, restaurants, etc). 1 min walking from the train station
Room was a bit small
The bed was fantastic - very hard and enormous. Slept like a baby and didn't even notice my boyfriend on the other side of the bed. Great options at breakfast.
The fridge needs milk to have with the tea! And it's pretty noisy on the street if you open the windows. We were a bit disappointed with the food at dinner - not a lot of vegetarian options.
The suite we had was very nice with a separate sitting area. It was in the center of town close to many restaurants and close to the castle and the Duomo. Staff were very helpful and courteous. Great place in a great location.
Central location Parking Breakfast correct (not outstanding though) Rooms OK
Very different staff styles. Some of them are professional, others not (mainly at the reception desk, there were many trainees).
We stayed at Junior suite and the room was excellent. Big and comfortable. Great location.
The bathroom could be a bit cleaner
The staff were incredible The location terrific The room was clean
Most staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast included which was great. Good location. Comfortable bed and large room for standard.
Wifi not included in standard room but you can buy and not too expensive. Staff lovely and friendly except one blonde lady on reception desk who made us feel like we shouldnt be asking for any assistance. When we greeted her she did not respond at all, and then said "what, im waiting for your question" We wanted to make a local call for last supper and she told us rudely to do it ourselves in our hotel room. We had to go all the way back to our room, call, and then come back down. Call took 30sec and we figure thats what front desk help with...right?!
