Cleanse, very central position, comfortable beds nice bathrooms good a/c, and most of all stuff especially at the front desk could speak good English which is very important for those who can’t understand/speak Italian, I would definitely go again in this Hotel and will recommend it to others, A. Mamo. No Wi-Fi internet free of charge at all!

The most important thing that attracted me at the una hotel is the courtesy of all staff and the prompt service they give on request. Another thing that attracted me is the cleanliness of the rooms and of all the hotel. An important thing that the hotel lacks is the WiFi system. I cannot immagine a 4/5 star hotel (in the year 2011) without a Wi-Fi system!! I am confinced that this defect will be remidied at your earliest.

The hotel was very centrally located and we were easily able to walk to the principal attractions of Catania. The hotel was clean but could stand to have the halls and rooms repainted. We spent a week travelling around Siciliy and were surprised at the price of the hotel after we stayed at several other hotels on the island of similiar level or higher for much less. I should say however that there did not seem to be similiar hotels in Catania.

Location was spot-on. Very central. The only thing that was really uncomfortable was the stifling heat in the common areas and also in room. We stayed at hotel in December and we had to leave the balcony door open in order to have a good night sleep.

Elaine Majeski and Angela Calandra stayed at Hotel Una for 7 nights. Upon arriving we settled into our allocated room which was room 312 it was a very spacious room with a very large bathroom. After sharing our concerns about the bathroom with Valeria the manager in charge, she was very professional and made sure that we were allocated another room. Even though we were very self conscious about our experience and felt that we should not stay, Valeria and the staff made our stay at Hotel Una a memorable one. We were very stressed at the thought that the bathroom was not as private as it should have been .After having a very long shower in the floor shower my friend Elaine informed me that she had to use most of the bath towels as water spilled onto the floor and made it very slippery and dangerous. I went to have a look and agreed not to use the floor shower but have a shower in the bathtub shower instead (2 showers in room 312). It was after my shower that I relayed my concerns to Elaine of the possibilty that the bathroom was not as private as it should be. Elaine video taped me clothed in the bathroom from the corridor which was where the elevator was We showed the video to Valeria who was the manager on duty.I Believe that it was very clear that anyone could have seen us in the bathroom, from the point that the video was taken. We think that the hotel needs to put curtains in this bathroom to avoid future customers like us feeling uncomfortable.

The terrace bar is great for an evening, aside from that the rooms are small and overpriced so we left 3 days early. We were upgraded to a suite on arrival, this was 1 room just bigger than a double bed and another room with an old TV and a very uncomfortable sofa. No kettle, etc. I wonder how small the standard rooms are. This hotel is overpriced. We ended up paying over 200 Euros per night (in March!). We had to pay 15% extra to check out early. The hotel page on this site says "Enjoy the Turkish bath" and "Wi-fi Access" however it does not say that the Turkish bath costs 20 Euros per person per hour or the Wi-fi is 6 Euros per hour. I cannot understand why hotels charge for Wi-Fi in this day and age. I would expect this to be included in an Exectuive room.

Disponibilità, cordialità e professionalità dello Staff. Posizione strategica per visitare la città. La pulizia delle stanze. Ottima e variegata colazione internazionale.
