Hotel Universo  

Hotel Universo is located just across smn train station and was very easy to get to. It is also well-located in terms of walking to other landmarks. The staff were very friendly and greeted us each time we came back to the hotel. We had a room with a balcony with a lovely view of the piazza. It was very spacious and colourful. Because we had to climb a flight of steps from the elevator to our room, the receptionist organised for a porter to take our bags up to the room, which was very much appreciated. We would recommend this hotel, and would stay here again.

Its close location to the smn station was a plus if you are travelling into the city by train and if you would like to go to the outlets like Space and The Mall. Breakfast was simple but decent.

The dim lighting and small tv with limited English channels did bother us a little. The bath area in the toilet was created using 2 foldable panels and was quite small. We met 3 different reception staff during our stay and the guy was the most friendly and helpful. We would only recommend the hotel because of its good location and cleanliness.

Hotel close to station so easy access, in a lovely square overlooking church. Staff very friendly, triple room was very clean and spacious overlooking the square. Breakfast was good, no complaints would definately stay again.

Great location, friendly staffs and value for money

The rooms were big, comfortable and very Italian 'chic'. Hotel staff, in particular Tony on the desk were wonderful, friendly and really made your stay.

The location is just 5 mins walk from the train station, and easily walkable to many parts in Florence.

Air conditioning wasn't working well on the first night, but the staff got it fixed the next day. Small room.

Compliment to the front desk (especially the guy on duty when we checked in, did not get his name), very helpful and quick in responding to our needs. Thanks a lot.

Excellent location, in the center of Florence, and just a couple of minutes of walk away from the smn Railway Station.

Very cold, unfriendly atmosphere and rooms, mine had no view at all. Narrow, dark staircase and hallway, just had this creepy feeling inside the hotel. I would definitely stay somewhere else if I'd go back ti Florence again.
