Hotel Universo  

The hotel locate in the center of the city, only 5 mins walk from Firenze SMN train station and not morethan 10 mins to Duomo and another intersting places in Florence. The hotel is quite new and beautiful in modern design. The hotel staff quite polite and helpful. Breakfast is good,every station has been top up as soon as almost finish. Recommend for choosing this hotel.

The elevator is too small,only for 3-4 persons but that's not a big deal!

Simple but good breakfast. Staff very helpful. Only 5 minutes away from Santa Maria Novella Train Station (Stazione Firenze smn) Has elevator.

Room with twin beds. During the first night they splitted several times. We tied the beds with ropes next morning... Room didn't have enough artificial light. At night was impossible even to find something felt on the floor. Does not have free wi-fi. Paid wi-fi works only in reception and 1st floor.

Perfect Location, Cool style of the hotel, Nice breakfast. We are a young couple and we wanted to visit Florence. Our purpose was not to stay to the hotel but still to have an enjoyable room to sleep. Also, because we don't use public transportation much, we wanted a hotel near the station and to the city center. Hotel Universo is situated in Santa Maria Novela piazza, which is full of people morning, night and that gives you the feeling of safety, plus it's close to the shops and to the historical center. The staff is really friendly and the room is being cleaned every day. People who 'd like a view better to reserve the room with the view as the hotel is next to other hotels and when you open your window you see the back yard and balcony of the buildings around you. But as I said this is not so horrible as the city calls you to get out of your room and visit it!

There aren't shelfs for smth in bathroom

Hotel close to station so easy access, in a lovely square overlooking church. Staff very friendly, triple room was very clean and spacious overlooking the square. Breakfast was good, no complaints would definately stay again.

The rooms were big, comfortable and very Italian 'chic'. Hotel staff, in particular Tony on the desk were wonderful, friendly and really made your stay.

The staff are extremely helpful and go out of their way to assist in any way. The room is adequate. Our favorite part is that the window opened over the square and we could enjoy the vibrancy of the square from our room. The location is excellent being only a few meters from the train station and also in walking distance to several other piazzas. The lift is adequate and the breakfast was very good and extensive.

Good location, helpful staff, modern design and good size of room.

The hotel is nicely situated, at a walking distance of all Firenze attractions and the train station. Some rooms are small, but all well designed and conformtable. The staff is very helpful and breakfast is great. It is really worth the afordable price.

The bathroom appeared disfunctional to me. Also, Piazza Santa Maria Novella may be noisy at night, but in revenge the view is great.
