The staircase was very spacious, and the smell was good! There was an adapter in the room, which was very thoughtful. Radiator worked very well. Wifi was super fast. Ice cube ready in the fridge. Close to metro station and a supermarket. Owner very friendly.
The shower was really really really tiny! The towels were disgusting. There were this dark red spots in my bath towel. Owner responded to my request slowly.
Convenient location with high security; kind, helpful and very responsive owner; well-equipped facilities; basically everything Valentino, the apartment owner, provided us. Thank you again for your friendly hospitality, and I am pretty sure we will see each other very soon again!
The bedroom with the road-side window was a bit noisy at night if it was being kept opened, however as it is connected to the public space, it is not the fault of this property; there was interesting smell coming out from the sewage in the shower. All in all, it is a recommendable option for your trip in Rome!
Everything! Great host, clean and spacious room, good location and value for.money!
I stayed with my parents and my 2 years old baby at Marilu´s House during 1 week and we simply enjoyed it. The place is big with high walls and you have a lot of space, which is very important when you have a small kid with you. Internet connection was great, beds and pillows were comfortable and we had more than enough towels. Hitting system worked without problems and I simply loved the idea of not having carpet on the floor. You will find Supermarket and Pharmacy some minutes away... the metro station MANZONI is also very close and you can also have a 25min walk to the Colosseum. The church Santa Maria Maggiore as the Termini Station are very near.
Bathroom is nice but the shower area is really small. Besides that you do not have hot water with good pressure all the time... so, if you have to take a shower with a baby it might be difficult. I also missed more dish towels in the kitchen as we only had 1 available for the whole week...but this is a small observation.
Quite near metro
Valentino, the owner, was very hospitable. The apartment is very clean, spacious, near the metro station and you've got all you need. We will surely stay here once we're back in Rome.
Great location close to Manzoni metro station. Close to restaurants and shops. Situated on a small quiet street. Very clean and modern. Comfortable beds. My mum slept great and she struggles to get a few hours a night at home! Staff were very friendly and very helpful. We arrived around 10pm and staff were there waiting for us. We needed essentials from the shop and staff were kind enough to personally walk us down to the mini market a few minutes away. The owner Valentino is very helpful and friendly and very prompt with email replies. Would definitely stay here again. Would highly recommend. High chair and travel cot were provided upon request at no extra cost. The price quoted is the price you pay. There are no hidden fees.
The staff was really kind. Valentino, the owner of the appartment and Mariana, his helper, shared tips about the best places to eat and drink. They also gave us indication about the places to visit and helped us when in need. The location of the flat is perfect, in a quiet area and fairly close to downtown (you can reach the Colosseum by foot in 20 min or by tram - 3 stops) and near a metro station. The flat is very large, with comfortable beds, and a view to a small garden with blossomed flowers where you can relax at a cup of coffee. The kitchen is also spacious, clean and well equipped with all you need to prepare something to eat. We're looking forward to our next trip to Rome.
Near to Metro station, quiet big apartment and early check-in was appreciable.
Very small shower, Apartment owner was not able to speak English !!!! only Italian language was know by the cleaning lady and owner was never available.
we stayed there together with another couple. the apartment is very nicely renovated, rooms are comfortable and clean and the kitchen is spacious and very well equipped. one of the rooms is huge, the other is much smaller, but yet convenient. we stayed there one night and would love to stay there longer. the apartment is about 15 minutes walk from the Colosseum and ~40 minutes walk from the farther sites northward. a metro station is nearby but we enjoyed walking.
Close to Metro, walk to Colosseum, grocery nearby. Very clean and spacious for the price.
DW not working, not a lot of dishes (bowls especially for cereal or soup), lighting inadequate, beds really low for older adult to get in and out of easily. Shower typical of Italy - all form, no function. That's not a shower stall that's a coffin!!!
The apartment was nice and big, and also have a friendly garden. It is located in a very quiet neighborhood. It is in an excellent location, just 5 min away from the metro station Manzoni, which allowed us to reach all the tourist attraction. Nearby we could find a supermarket, cafés, restaurants… The wifi was great! the apartment had a kitchen well equipped allowing us to cooked meals and save some money. The host, Valentino, was very friendly which assisted us before we arrived, providing us with directions on how to get the apartment. When we arrived, he was very hospitable, providing very god tips on where to go around Rome and where to eat. Also we had a late flight, and he could arrange a solution allowing us to leave our baggage in the building after check-out. Definitely recommendable.
Almost irrelevant, but it would be a plus to have some tea towels (something that allows to dry the dishes after wash it).
We liked it almost all. The host Valentino is very helpful and friendly, will meet you as agreed. You have everything you need. The location is very convenient, close to Forum and Colisseum, and to the metro station.
The street where the appartment is located is not great, but I would not decrease the estimate because of that.
cleanliness facilities hostage (staff)
Very helpful, supportive and accommodating staff, providing really useful information and recommendations Large, clean and well equipped flat with above-standard equipped kitchen Great sitting in the yard 15 minutes to Colloseum 4 minutes to subway
Nothing serious, just a small items: Shower will not probably be suitable for 100kg + guests Via Carlo Emanuele may not be considered as the cleanest street in the Rome (but mote than compensated by the house inside) Watch out the cats
Great location just minutes walk from metro. The apartment is clean and spacious. Very quiet neighborhood which means great sleep. Valentino was very friendly and helpful with information. Great wifi. Highly recommend this. We will stay there again.
The apartment was quite large, and it's close to a grocery store. Located in a quiet part of town but close to a subway station and many major sights. All the cooking utensils you'll need are provided.
Shampoo and conditioner were not provided and the doors to both the complex and the apartment were hard to unlock. The kitchen stove took a while to heat up.
Valentino was lovely & very helpful waiting for us to arrive from the airport even though it was late. The apartment is in a great location near Manzoni metro so easy access to Termini & there is a supermarket, laundry & whatever else you need nearby. The shower was very small & the room near the street could be noisy but these were minor things, we'd definitely stay here again!
1. The owner contacted imm. after the booking and gave us directions. He always picked up our calls. 2. The place was close to the M. station and in a quiet and safe area 3. The apartment was spacious with a pretty pergola. 4. The other resident was a decent family 5. There was enough crockery and cutlery. 6. The air conditioning was good.
1. There was absolutely no cleaning done throughout our stay of 5 days.Garbage was never removed.Toilets were not cleaned. It was horrible to come back to a dirty room every night after a long day touring the city. If was to be so it should be mentioned at the time of booking that no housekeeping/cleaning/changing of sheets & towels were included. 2. The covering sheets were stained and the duvet had no cover 3. There was just one pillow on each bed and the mattress was very thin. 4. The sheets and towels were not changed throughout our stay of 5 days. When I finally asked the owner about this,he said it was because we locked our rooms when we left the rooms during the day!! You cannot expect tourists, in Rome especially, to leave their rooms open!! In any case they do have spare keys. 5. There was a musty odour in the fridge, kitchen and rooms. 6 Not once did the owner or his worker bother to contact us and find out if all was well.
Location of the appartment was perfect. Just 2 minutes from the Manzoni metro station. Very close to Colosseum and Basilica of St. John Lateran. You can even walk to St. Peter's square. That's excellent place for a short trips to Rome. Thank you, Valentino. We will come back, for sure.
Wi-fi connection was temporary not available.
Location Wifi Air con in all rooms Clean Very helpful owner
No sofa in lounge area No mirrors in rooms Small kettle
This is a really nice place to stay in Rome! Close to public transportation, really close to Coliseu and the staff is really helpful! The house has everything and is huge!
Good size room view of garden and access to garden. Good size kitchen.
No sitting area Beds low with hard edge frames Odd decorating Bars on windows
Big rooms, clean and nice. The location is really good. We walked a lot from there all over the center of the city. The Manzoni station is only 4-5 min walk.
The apartment is very big and is close to public transport, restaurants, supermarkets etc. Lorenzo cannot do enough to make your stay a very pleasant one. The roman garden is a great place to relax. Would recommend it to anyone.
