It is only a short walk from the funiculare. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nicely laid out and perfectly adequate. Room and bathroom clean.
breakfast size of single room staff wi-fi??
This was a little gem of a find. The hotel was right in the middle of the town and the staff were lovely and very helpful, the room was comfy if a little basic.
This hotel was very good, it was also quite close to restaurants , coffee shops and Duomo.
Everything! Wish we could stay longer!
Spent 3 days in town one of which was used to visit Assisi. Hotel was excellent and had all the usual facilities e.g. lift, air conditioning etc. Standard Italian breakfast, excellent staff service (all with reasonable english) and close (10 minute walk) to main square. There are numerous restaurants nearby and dining out is very reasonable. The main part of the town is built on a hill. If arriving by train to Orvieto the train stops at the bottom of the town so to reach hotel there are 2 options available viz; 1) Taxi at cost of 20 euro 2) Veniculare (ski lift) which is directly outside the train station and which leaves every 10 minutes and costs 1.30 euro per single trip. It is then a 10 minute walk to the hotel. Purchase ticket at the lift station. Overall Orvieto is well worth a short visit and is to be recommended.
It was very quiet and centrally located.
Room was very small for three people. The breakfast area is very small and no other public spaces or amenities. Needed multiple wi-fi passwords for our different devices.
Friendly staff - excellent location on a charming narrow lane.
Delicious breakfast kind helpful staff called bank for us to help with getting cash convenient location easy walking to all sites safe parking in private locked garage greatly enjoyed our stay
Tight shower and bathroom for tall people
The mattress was't comfortable
Beautiful, tasteful interior in a wonderful exterior setting, quaint, typical view from bedroom window, warm & friendly people running the hotel.
Double bed would be more comfortable without the split mattress. It could be made clear on the booking site that hotel parking is available only if you pre-book it. This was not, however, much of a problem, as we were given excellent help in finding parking nearby.
very good location. small hotel but convenient for almost everything. owner/staff were very kind and easy to talk.
staff do not speak much English but does not really bother us much. Orvieto is an easy city.
Location to station and town. Get what you pay for.
Air conditioning didn't work at first. When I advised the reception they turned it on however they turned it off again during the night for some reason. Then appeared surprised when I mentioned this in the morning. Uncomfortable beds and very average breakfast.
Close to everything in Orvieto. Friendly staff who speak English. Good selection of food for breakfast.
Bathroom shower stall is quite small.
A spacious quadruple room . Centrally located . Very reasonably priced . Somewhere safe to store bikes
The air con stopped working at night and room was then very stuffy . The shower over the bath is hand held and no shower curtain so the floor gets soaked . Breakfast is pretty basic
Friendly staff Good location near Duomo and centre Room was good size
Breakfast buffet range was small. Food was nice though
Wonderful location right in the middle of beautiful Orvieto. A previous guest had smoked in our room and the management had no problem instantly providing us with another one, views over rooftops and the ding dong of church bells - lovely.
Can't think of a thing.
In the centre of town but down a relatively quite street Nice big room Breakfast was good
nothing negative to say
Located a reasonable distance from both the funicular and the duomo. Quiet street, friendly (though not all English-speaking) staff, small hotel ambiance.
Nice location at just 5 minutes walking from the Dome, good and comfortable room. They provide a free map of the city and are open in giving tourist suggestions and the wi-fi is good.
Even though we did not complain, the bathroom should have been cleaned better as we found hair from other guests in the shower and on the walls; the toilet still had the cleaning product in it (i don't know if this is the procedure, but for sure the guest wants to see a clean white toilet not with the product all around it); the heater/conditioning filter should also be cleaned as it was dusty. In my opinion breakfast is limited to one type of each product (bread, cheese, ham, cereals) and to the number of guests staying there. The buffet should be filled in regulary as we saw a couple who arrived when the buffet was kind of empty even though it was before 10, the closing time.
Location Good breakfast Friendly staff
2 single beds pushed together to make 1 large bed. Hand held shower.
We liked the location because it was a little bit away from the busy part of the town. There was a nice local restaurant one block away, right next to paid parking. We reserved the garage for Euro 12 per day directly outside our door. Paid parking would have been Euro 16 if we stayed there all day. These made it very convenient. Breakfast was good. We took a day-trip to Civita di Bagnoregio, about 30 minute drive. A small, hilltop village accessed only by foot. Definitely worth the drive.
The bed was hard for our taste.
The location, they had parking for the car, the owners and staff were very helpful, wi-fi included and fast and the 4 person room was spacious by Italian standards.
We had to take the luggage up to the last flight of stairs as the lift only went to the second last level, however, the stairs were not steep or narrow so it was not too difficult.
