A great place to stay near the Vatican. Really, just a 5 minute walk to St Peters. No concierge or services other than room cleaning, but that's not a bad thing...a 5 star, budget hotel ! The fridge was not cold...and the shower doors were falling off

We liked the location. Inadequate bedding. Broken shower head in room. No fridge facility although there was one in the room it wasnt working and we were told it wasnt inclusive. Not enough pillows. Nowhere to store the suitcase or sit. Very small pokey rooms. Not adequate tv channels without paying extra. Would not recommend this hotel. Supposed to be luxury apartments.

The bathroom was good and clean. Should not be called "hote", should be called sleeping rooms. The room was very dark, narrow window and very dark walls, I had to use the lights even in the morning or afternoon. The doorway key did not work, apparently the door jammed. I was constently under stress and fear that I would not be able to get into the buiding. Tv did not workat the beginnig , after several mentioning they finelly changed the batteries. It was impossible to get hold of any stuff: the suggested number 9 on the telephone either never answered or was engaged. To some reason internet did not work with certein iphones. Location convinient but n front of it was a permanent market.

Liked Nothing about this dump hotel... Actually I booked at the Vatican holiday hotel and the owner had a last minute change when I came to the door and decided to pour me in another hotel where he had a single room available.. The other hotel was about 50 meters away. - Since they have no breakfast area they bring breakfast in the room for you which in theories is a nice touch. But my breakfast came late by 35 minutes... - on room checkin i was told leave us your passport and we;ll get back to you in 5 min.. I simply hate that when i have to give my passport and don't see where it's happening to it.. I suppose nothing but there's always that little doubt in the back of my head that annoys me. I prefer to see them doing a copy myself or what even rather then blindly give my passport away. - Requested a smoker room was put in a non smoker room - No DND sign to put at the door.. Was woken up in the afternoon as I was recovering from my travel on days 2 of my stay (total stay 3 days) by the owner who was persistently knocking at my door and all the doors around to go pay for my room while i was only checking out the next and asked on checking if i should settle the bill now. - Some staff are good in english in fact some are excellent in english. but some don't even have the basic english knowledge which sucks for people that are working in public. - My toilet was not clean - Requested another pillow cause they were only a small flat one in my bed.. and it felt like I was asking the women at the counter for the moon. she did find another pillow but only after i had to precise "if I only have one pillow I'll have a horrible night" at first she could not be bother really.. - horrible view over the internal "court yard" loaded with A/C and frankly is super noisy at night. - While waiting for my taxi to arrive at 4:30 (was pissing rain outside btw) I was told that the hotel clerk had to go, so reception where I was waiting closed, so I had to go and wait outside under the rain for 20 minutes for my taxi to arrive on scheduled time. got in the taxi horribly wet.. Would have been better to stay in a youth hostel ... This place is a real dump.. bed are UN-confortable, poor service, horrible customer service by the owner himself.

It was very near to the metro station. It was a horrible room, blankets were very old. It is better to take any other hotel near any metro station as it is quite easy to reach Rome, Vatican by metro.

Good location: 10 minutes to Vatican and in 1 minute to Ottaviano metro station. Clean room, friendly staff. Noisy outside (window should be closed anytime), wifi is not stable. Cleaning lady was too much assiduous: moved personal things to order them on the table, threw away necessary things thinking that is garbage.

It's not a traditional hotel, per se, but a group of rooms within a couple of close-together condo buildings--there's no front desk staff, for example. However, the managers promptly answer the phone/door buzzer and are very responsive. This kind of setting makes a visitor feel a little bit more a part of the city. The neighborhood, though it is very close to Vatican City, also seems to be a place were a fair number of regular people live--which also helps it feel less touristy. There are plenty of good, reasonably priced dining options nearby. The pizza take- out place right next door is fantastic, the restaurant on the corner makes tangy penne al'arrabbiata, and there's a great pastry place in a basement on Via Barletta across Giulio Cesare, great local gelato on Via Leone iv, also north of Giulio Cesare, and a nice espresso bar on the corner a few doors down from the condominio. The room is literally a 5- minute walk from the Vatican Museums entrance. Other walks: St. Peter's 10 min.; Castel Sant'Angelo 15 min.; Trastevere 20 min.; Pantheon 25 min.; Spanish Steps 35 min.; Forum 40 min.; And Colosseo 50 min. And the room is on the same block as the Ottaviano metro stop, a 10-minute subway ride from the main Roma Termini train station. So if you want to get to the room easily on public transportation, visit the Vatican Museums, and walk around a lot getting a flavor of the city, it's a very good location. If you emerge from the Metro or arrive in a cab looking for a big sign that says "Vatican Holiday," there isn't one (just a nameplate on a door buzzer list). Furthermore, the unobtrusively marked door is masked during the day behind a daily sidewalk market of street vendors selling stuff. But after you find it once (by jostling through the crowds of shoppers, locating the street address above the doorway, and finding the "Vatican Holiday" tag by one of the door buzzers), it's kind of nice having it be unobtrusive. The door buzzer causes a manager's phone to ring and he or she appears quickly. We had the room set up as a quad, so in addition to the comfortable double bed, there were two folding cots. It was fine for a few days, but the light-duty cots would be better for small, calm children than for full-size people.

The location of this BnB is busy and exciting. Everything you need within a few short blocks, including many other BnBs. The breakfast, although not on site, was a delicious pastery, hot drink and juice served in a lovely cafe on the corner I was warned by another review that this BnB had an alergy situation, but I thought, with my years of perfect alergy control, if I took my arsenal, I would be fine. My years of experience were working against me. Within minutes of entering the room I started having symptoms. Nothing worked. It was the weekend so we couldn't find another room.I Spent my first day home in the er getting my first ever breathing treatment When we got there, we where asked to pay in cash because they no longer had the line to run the card. When we where unable to get that much money from the atm, they ran the card. Shady? Also, handing over the keys and collecting the money was the only time we saw them and the only time they spoke english. We could dial 9 to talk to them but the main word we heard there was "no". The shower is small, the drain is in the entrance and there is about a 12 inch step to get in. My daughter fell getting out of the shower and hurt herself. The floor was slippery and she had a hard time getting up. When she finally did, she was covered in dirt and the floor resembled a mud puddle. We couldn't even get them to bring us ice to put on her hurt leg.

Location is close to the Ottaviano Metro stop and Vatican is just 5 min walk. We had tv, ac, fridge and free wi-fi. The room wasn't big but was enough for us. You can eat at restaurant Amari at the corner of the block with good prices.
