Roberta is a very welcoming, friendly and helpful host. Accommodation very clean and comfortable and furnished to a very chic and high standard. Many reasonably priced eating places within 50m. Easy to get to from Fiumicino airport - take the regional train (NOT the Leonardo Express) from the airport to Trastevere. Change at Trastevere for San Pietro (Saint Peters) and walk 5 mins down the hill and you're there. 8 Euros per person and if you're lucky with the connections it can be done in 50 mins - a no brainer. Ideally situated within walking distance of the Vatican and the more northern half of the ancient city of Rome. The more southern areas e.g. the Colliseum and the Forum might warrant a short bus ride, but as Rome is such a walking city these places can still be walked in about 40 mins.
Roberta is an amazing hostess. Parking a car in this area of Rome is always very tricky and she helped us find an open spot on the street as we arrived. The old palazzo this B&B is located in has a very grand entry with a fun antique elevator. The rooms are large for Italy with good views of the surrounding streets and St. Peters. Breakfast is very good and homemade. Roberta added a personal touch and truly cared to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Thank you for everything!! We will stay here again!
Everything was great
We greatly appreciated Roberta's wonderful hospitality and attention to detail, which ensured we had a great stay. The location is amazing -- just a couple of minutes from the Vatican -- and I doubt you can get better value for your money in Rome.
We loved it here. Our hostess Roberta made are life here in Rome a fantastic one. Starting out with a great breakfast. Then helping us out setting up daily activities. We bought our tickets on line the night before. We would then send to her our ticket conformation. She'd have them printed out for us in the morning. The room was very nice and very clean. The view from the window is great. You are just two Minutes walking distance from the Vatican. There are many little cafés just outside the B&B. and for us a bus stop right out front. Bus # 64 this bus will take you to almost any place you want to go to in Rome. Buy your tickets at the tobacco shop just a few shop down from the bus stop. 6 euros for all day. Or you can walk 15 mins. To the Metro. If you want the true Italian life the Vatican Window is the place. When we return to Rome aw we will be staying at Roberta's Vatican Window B&B Vera & Karl.
This is a Warning for all train user's We had a little problem at the train station in Rome. You will find all types of little crooks trying to help you with your luggage. This amounts to them helping you find your train car and put your luggage on the train for you. The thing is you carry your own bags from the station to your train car they don't do a damn thing that you can't do by yourself. Tell them no that you don't need help and to leave you alone. This is a normal thing at all station when we arrived in Florence there where those little Crooks waiting for us to get off the train. Having been fleeced once you get smart. Hope this will help anyone going to Italy. Lesson's learned..
This B&B is located 2 minutes away from Vatican, in a very safe area. It is a spacious appartment with 2 rooms, a nice breakfast room and an extra toilet. Everything is very clean. The owner is Roberta, a young Italian girl who does everything to please her customers. Our room was very big, with an en-suite bathroom. It had AC and TV. Breafast was nice, since one gets in contact with other tourists. Moreover, Roberta chats with the people and give advice on what to see. She also cooked fresh omlette for us, delicious!!! Bus station is just in front of the house, whereas metro station is a 15 minutes - very pleasant - walk. One has also access to the San Pietro train station. So, fully recommend this place to everybody. We will return for sure!
Roberta, the owner, is a very helpful host. Thank you very much for all the support during our stay. If booking.com allowed me I would give a 1000 review. The B&B is very very near from St. Peter's square and in the neighborhood you can find cafes, bars, laundry service and many other conveniences. The room and bathroom are very comfortable and clean. I hope to see you in my next trip to Rome.
Roberta was really helpful for us. We had a really great time.
Very lovely host... Always helpfull and smiling. Lovely place next to the Vatican. Easy to take the bus in front off the building. Would recommend this b en b to everybody. Roberta did everything to arrange An extra bed for my daughters friend who decided a little too late to come as Well
Roberta is the best in the place! What a beautiful person! There is a great confort and she tries to keep guest happy. I recommend this place!
Nothing...just a little problem in our arrival, because there weren't people in the place...but just was a missunderstood! But after the place reward everything!
It was a memorable trip, in the middle of history, Roberta, the owner of Vatican Window was very very friendly, she help us with everything that we needed to make a perfect trip! Breakfast was very good, enough for a normal person! The rooms are very clean and not at last the location of the B&B was great, we cold walk from everywhere....it was not necessarily to take th bus or metro, just from Termini station we took the metro, line A, station Ottaviano. Thank you so much again Roberta for everything! Say "Hi" to Elena!!!
First, the owner and primary hostess Mrs. Roberta is as wonderful as you will find. No hotel will measure up to her geniune kindness and helpfulness. She speaks English and goes out of her way to make sure you understand her. She, is a shining example of what represents the true beauty of the Italian people and their culture. Her family BB is very clean and of simple design. Rome is a place where you won't be in your room much so for us it worked out great. We never worried if a maid was ever going to go thrust our belongings while we were to gone. We had much peace of mind. We very much recommend this BB. Thank you so much Roberta!!!
It was all good
The location, room and service were all excellent.
Roberta the owner was lovely - nothing was too much trouble and I enjoyed our morning chats over coffee and croissants. Fabulous! Good location and clean big room with good facilities. Would recommend.
