I saw small luxury at booking.com and I immediately fell inlove with it. The advantage of the location is not only of the main attraction here in Rome which is the Vatican but the things I enjoyed the most here is the ambiance, it is like a home away from home.. The room is clean and comfortable.. They change towels everyday of my stay.. The breakfast is superb ( they serve it inside your room which I think is sweet).. The service is extraordinary, the staff are very helpful with smile on thei faces.. This is a place where you can stay secured and pampered at the same time.. Two thumbs up.. I will definitely recommend Small luxury to my friends..

Superb location, city center in walkin distance, tube 4 blocks from the apartment. Very high customer service, all the staff were very helpful.

This is just a constructive criticism: I would appreciate English channels on TV, at lest BBC or else to watch the news.

The staff was very friendly and responsive we emailed about parking and they responded right away. There is a garage nearby. It was great to have breakfast. Bed was confortable.

The temperature of the water in the shower and in the room was somewhat difficult to regulate. We were never cold, though, on the contrary! We went here in December and it was very cold outside but definitely not in the room. There isn't a table for breakfast and this would really benefit the room.

This is a really nice and cozy hotel. It was a great pleasure to stay there. I hadn’t any problems to find the hotel, so everything went very well. If you don’t want to use the metro or a taxi from the airport to the hotel, so they will provide you a private car service. Mariachiara, her husband and the hotel staff are very kind who makes you feel like home from the first until the last day. It was very comfortable to start the day with a really good breakfast which was served in the room at a time as I wished. The breakfast included a great coffee, fruit juice, delicious Italian cakes and savory delights such cheese, salami or mortadella. The hotel is a very good spot to explore every sightseeing in Roma. It is not necessary to use the metro but if you wish so you will find a metro station just around the corner and a taxi station in front of the hotel. I only used the metro for a trip to “Ostia Antica”, where you will find archeological excavations of the ancient roman harbor city. Due to my historical interests, it was a great chance for me to see the ancient buildings in Ostia and in Roma as well. I didn’t throw a coin into the famous Trevi Fountain (it’s sad that this coin will make you see Roma again), but nevertheless even without this coin I’m going to visit Roma again just in the near future. So now guess where I will stay the next time! Sure, again in the Small Luxury hotel!

The position, very close to the sites. Easy to take a taxi to the airport. Lots of shops and resterants nearby. Helpful staffs and excellent breakfast!

The floor of my room is wet somewhere. A little noisy in the night.

Fabulous location and spotlessly clean. Breakfast in room is a nice touch. Would definately recommend it!

Very Minor comment is that tea/ coffee facilities in room would be nice and you can hear noise from other rooms.

The owner can speak excellent English and was extremely helpful when we were trying to locate luggage we had left on the bus, All the staff were really nice. Very clean.

The breakfast was average, although I haven't stayed in a b&b before so I'm not sure if they all do only toast, cake, bread rolls etc. No bacon or eggs or anything like that. Location was ok. Right next to the Vatican but a bit further from other main attractions. But their was a train station not far which we found really cheap and easy to use to get around. I'm not sure if all rooms were the same but our bathroom wasn't joined to our room. It was across the hall which only we had keys for to use but was a hit annoying.

Perfect bed and breakast for your stay in Rome. And the price is quite low if compared to what you get (view, room, service, position, etc) Highly reccommended

I appreciate their concern for customer satisfaction. During our stay, it was my wife's birthday, they were very nice, made ​​us a pleasant surprise, we were given a small glass of wine. The bathroom was very clean. Congratulations for this!

Daily fruits were not very fresh. For hot water is used an instant boiler with limited capacity. You can have unpleasant surprise to end the hot water while you shower.

Location is fantastic, staff very friendly, room very nice and clean.

I sent email requesting a pick up from the airport but never replied!

The breakfast was yummy with croissants, yogurt, pastries, wafers and coffee (prepared as you like.) There was a fruit basket in the room and a small bottle of champagne upon arrival. This small staff is so gracious and welcoming. I had forgotten my adapter and they let me use one the entire stay. It's really a shared apartment but you have a key to lock your room, of course. If and when I go back to Roma, I will definitely stay here. It's only a five minute walk to the Vatican which is great, since that is a very long day of exploring.

The only negative I can think of is that you can hear the other guests walking in the hallway. I couldn't hear them through the walls so it wasn't a big deal at all but I was thinking maybe a small area rug in the hall might fix that very small problem. This place is so much cleaner and nicer than any hotel I've stayed at and I can't stress this enough !

the room is really beautifull, its comfort and private. we had the room with the bathroom outside, but it was not a problem for privacy. the cleanliness its perfect. the breakfast is practical served in your room. there is always a fruit bucket avaible, that is refiled with fresh fruit everyday, in your room. the owners received us with kindness and hospitality, so we defenitly recommend this hotel.

the table for breakfast is small for two persons in the room we staid. there should be another chair. because the second person as to eat on the bed. the breakfast is in my opinion too sweet. but thats relative from person to person i guess.

The owner, Maria Chiara, is very gracious and helpful. I asked to use her landline to make museum bookings, but instead she took it upon herself to do it for us. The room we got was quite big with a view of the dome of St. Peter's Basilica. It was cleaned everyday by a wonderful woman named Oksana, who also prepared and brought daily breakfast to our room. Breakfast was generous that consisted of juice, coffee, yogurt, toasts, pastry, ham and cheese. The location is near 2 popular tourist sites: the Vatican and Castel St. Angelo. Other tourist attractions are mostly within a 20 to 30 minute walking distance. Otherwise, bus number 81, which you can take just across the street on the Piazza Risorgimento, will take you to, or at least near the places that matter the most. The metro is another option, about 7 minutes away.

The window is not sound proof and the curtain not blackout. This did not really bother me, but for light sleepers, this might be a problem. Additional lights in the room would be nice. The 2 small side table lamps and the hanging fixture in the middle of the room are not enough to sufficiently brighten the big room. I would not consider this a problem but something that can be improved.

First off, lets be clear. This isn't a 'Hotel' as such. It's a converted apartment in a residential block where three large rooms have been made into 'tourist accommodation rooms with en-suites'. What was the apartment's kitchen is now the reception, the main bathroom is now the bathroom for Room 1. Don't be put off - it gives the place some real character. Loved the massive front doors to the apartment block, loved the old open-style central lift in the stairwell, loved that it was less than 200m from St Peter's Metro station and loved that it was the same distance to get to St Peter's Square.... ! (You're there to see Rome right? Not sit in the room and watch telly....) The 'Hotel' is on the 5th floor of a 6 floor block. Rooms 2 and 3 have good views across to St Peter's Basillica (apparently). We had Room 1 which didn't! It looked out into the central part of a block of flats, but that meant it was quiet and you could get a good sleep.. The bathroom was across the hallway but it was entirely ours (you're not sharing it with Rooms 2 &3!!) Not sure how big the en-suites in the other rooms were, but Room 1 did at least benefit from the big bathroom. Bed was comfy, air-con worked and all things considered it was a nice enough stay. Different! Location certainly helps and the quirky side isn't anything to be put off about. I liked it and would use it again for a City Break or for the International rugby weekend (not sure about staying there for a week+ but at the end of the day you're there to see Rome and just want a place to crash.... this will let you do that...)

Room 1 had one small table with the tv on it. That was what you were expected to use for breakfast so not ideal, but managable (if your partner ate hers while sat on the bed....)

Fantastic place. Staff very warm and obliging. Great location for sightseeing, especially Vatican City. But historical centre also in a walking distance. Very clean and cozy. We will definitely come back again.

The staff are very warm and welcoming. The breakfast is excellent and the room we had was very clean, comfortable and spacious with a great view.

The location is great, the rooms are comfortable and stylish equipped with all you need, even free internet, Mariachiara and Maurizio are very charming hosts.

Maria Teresa and her husband were very friendly and helpful. Fresh fruit in the room and a lovely breakfast. The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a good size compared to some of the others we stayed in and the view from the window was terrific....overlooks the vatican.And if you like shopping, you certainly don't have far to go. Overall a really enjoyable experience.

Great Position (300 m from St Peters; it is very well integrated in the city & in the transportation system); High comfort; Nice welcome and service. Great choice!
