Offering an outdoor swimming pool and antique interiors, Villa del Bosco is 2 miles from Catania Cathedral.
Score from 350 reviews Very good
With panoramic views of Mount Etna and the Ionian Sea, this Sheraton Hotel has direct access to the sea. It includes a swimming pool, a modern spa, and spacious rooms with a modern design.

The 4-star AGA Hotel is in an exclusive area on Catania's seafront, just over 1 mile from the center of the city.

Only 5 minutes’ walk from the rocky beach and 10 minutes’ drive from Catania town centre, 4 Spa Resort Hotel offers a large spa and wellness centre, a free outdoor pool, and a restaurant with pizzeria...
Score from 343 reviews Very good
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great Service and Good food. The Hotel's rooms were comfortable, clean and nicely decorative. I would highly recommend :)
Wifi did not work or was very low in the main room where we had breakfast
Most of all I liked how friendly and helpful was the staff.
The only problem was, that the airconditioner didn't work and it was too hot. Everything else was just perfect.
Middle of no where and too far from city
New, clean in general for what it is Italy.
The bus shuttle to the city is a regular city bus. The bus shuttle frequency to the beach is only one time. We took this hotel for its bus services and it was a dissater...
The breakfast was horrible. I would only suggest choosing this hotel if you want to gain weight. There wasn't a single healthy option. (except some dried skin orange and some pear which they ran out of on the 2nd day and forgot to replace)
The room was very nice, with a great view on the Etna on one side and Catania on the other side! The swimming pool is nice and breakfast huge.
Need a car to get there from Catania
great staff very helpful and go out of their way to please you.
Really excellent place to stay, so stylish and clean. The staff may be the nicest people I've ever met; so helpful and kind. The Bar is excellent and Bartender extremely good with a great selection of drinks he'd personally invented!
The Hot tub was dirty and wouldn't work
All the staf is very kind and help me all time thanks very much
The only positive thing about this hotel was the location.
This hotel is incorrectly described as luxury hotel. It is far from luxury. Our first night was ruined trying to get wi fi in the room and eventually were moved to a room with wifi at 2345 on xmas eve. The corridors are completely black! Black walls, black carpet, black ceiling and black curtains - nothing designer about the style. The silver room Room 224 was tiny and cramped. The bathroom had several cracked and broken tiles and the parquet step leading to the bathroom was broken. The showerhead was covered in limescale and was filthy. Although breakfast was until 1000 am if you go after 0900 am you risk not finding any hot food. When I asked whether they replenish the reply was a firm NO! Breakfast was always the same every morning. On our last night there was a party on the third floor until 3:30 am and when I called reception to complain about the noise I was offered another room change!!! At 3 am and on our last night!! No compensation whatsoever was offered and the duty manager really did not seem to care at all and it felt like everything was too much trouble for him. Definitely ruined our Christmas and my daughter's birthday. I HIGHLY ADVISE AGAINST BOOKING THIS HOTEL!!! The photos and the description is very very misleading!! This hotel does not merit 3 stars let alone 4!
The hotel is on the hill overlooking the harbour & the view was nice.
The hotel is in 2 buildings. The 2nd building is very dark & modern. The hallway was black walls, ceiling & carpet. The room was black, gold & metal. Not very pleasant really. The room had no internet available, nor did the hallway, downstairs or in the breakfast room in the other building. It was only available in the public lounge. The hotel description said it was available everywhere. The bed was very firm & the pillows were like sleeping on concrete. The bathroom was very small, with a square toilet & square bidet. The bath had a large glass shower screen that that reached to the bidet & it only moved a coupe of inches making it extremely difficult to get into the bath. You basically had to crawl over the bidet to get into the bath. Needless to say I slipped getting out of the bath & ended up straddling the bath which was very painful & I had some nasty bruises in a delicate place. I would never recommend this hotel.
It's absolutely lovely !
Great views of Mount Etna.
The room was not available at the last moment and was changed, however we were not told until we reached the hotel meaning we couldn't look for another option.
Cheap decor in room which was poorly maintained Curtains didn't close properly Poor lighting in room
It is a very modern and original hotel. Breakfast is buffet and you have ample choice. The hotel has extraordinary views.
Car parking is expensive - 8EUR each day. Our television was not functioning properly and although we complained nothing was resolved. Bathroom door was not opening well.
The receptionist was very kind and helpful
Cleanness: ants in the bed first sentence says : luxury hotel -you can forget about it The jacuzzi despite the first picture on the booking.com advertised is only usable for presidential room -very missleading the outdoor pool was very dirty -we reported to reception, but was not cleaned at all even after our report
Staff are very friendly.
nice pool, and breakfast(in spite of the cold bacon). part of the staff.
location bad, need a car. also some rooms in only fair condition, in need of repairs. and the colours in rooms are too dark.
Parking and friendly staff. Breakfast was good! Free shuttle to beach. Presidential suite has the best view over the city and a big jacuzzi on the roof terrace!
Room is very dark and to small to stay here more than 1 night. thats why we booked an upgrade after we checked in. But cost you double! Must say that to my opinion this is more a business hotel than leisure. The shuttle bus to center only leaves at 10 and drives back at 17. Also distance to center is a long way from the hotel. The swimming pool is very small and not clean.
Hotel looks nice in the pictures not so much in reality. Needs a good refurbishment and not very clean. There is nothing to do apart from the small pool and very few deck chairs. Far away from centre and no shops or anything in the area.Very bad neighborhood. I definitely would not recommend this to anyone going for a leisure trip.
The staff at the hotel are great helpful and welcoming.
The rooms are very small. The new wing is black and silver on the colour schemes and the corridors are very dull being painted all lack.
The cruise to Mt Etna and breakfast
* TV or Satellite was not working. * Wi-Fi was very poor as it dropped out all the time plus could not get connection in our room. * The room which we booked was not the room we were given but that's all they had * the shower flooded each time we used it. * The pool closing at 7pm. * We left one night before we had to leave as the management didn't do much to rectify problems.
The shuttle and the free entry from the hotel to the best lido in Catania and the free entry to an amazing lido in Taormina. I don't understand why anyone writes about this. My boyfriend and I had another friends that booked another hotel in Catania and they've paid 50 euros (taxi, entry and chairs) just to stay in this lido with us. The snack bar at the hotel is also good if you decide to stay by the pool. I recommend the restaurant for a Italian sea pasta!
Nothing to complain.
Pool area, decor of hotel, friendliness of the majority of staff.
Not much storage in the room and a little bit out of town although cheap enough to get a taxi.
