The proximity to FAO. supermarket, restaurants Cleanliness, quiet location. Excellent coffee and cornetti for breakfast. Fridge. Friendliness and helpfulness of Mr Marco from arrival to departure
The walls were a bit thin; noise from the other rooms until people slept.
We recently stayed at the Vecchia Roma and had a wonderful night. We were there two nights and were able to easily navigate the city. It was easy to get to yet out of the way of the noise too which was great. Marco is an excellent host - his breakfast truly is wonderful as are his sightseeing tips (saved us a ton of time we would have spent waiting in lines) and his restaurant recommendations. You can't go wrong with Marco and Vecchia Roma!
Stayed two nights here earlier this week. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending it as a place to stay. We only had 2 days to 'see Rome'. Marco gave us great guidance and advice in order to make sure we missed nothing! He could not do enough and we really enjoyed our stay here. Excellent location but most of all excellent value for money :) Thanks for everything Marco!
Located within walking distance of bus stops, Metro, Circo Massimo and supermarket and pharmacy. Within feasible walking distance of Palatine Hill, Forum and Coliseum. Quiet; residential side street with little traffic, in area with minor embassies. Nice building in attractive gated setting, with Parakeets in the trees. There were two of us in room holding four, so space was OK. Wi-Fi was good. The host was welcoming and helpful (he had arranged transfer from airport at our request) and suggested some itineraries around Rome. Within walking distance of local style restaurants, as recommended by host. The breakfasts were fine ("sweet" or "salty").
No English channels on TV.
Marco great. Italian style breakfast. Great coffee.
The big things first; good sized room, comfortable bed, good shower (consistent temperature and good pressure), air conditioning, bar fridge, very clean, breakfast included. Vecchia Roma is close to shops, restaurants, metro, buses and colosseum. Marco is an amazing host, very friendly, informative and always goes the extra mile. We loved our stay here and can't wait to come back.
This accommodation was easy to find, very secure, clean, comfortable and above all had the best customer service you will ever experience. Marco will go above and beyond to make your stay in Rome an exceptional one. Your stay includes breakfast which is cooked right in front of you by Marco and is always fresh and delicious. Marco even got up extra early on two occasions and cooked us breakfast before 6am and 7am when we had early starts. He will make sure you know the best way to get around Rome, set you up with a map and even recommend some excellent restaurants. Come to Rome and stay at Vecchia Roma!!
Marco was great, informative, helpful and fun.
Loved this hotel, which I liked to consider more of a Bed and Breakfast. It's close to everything, but also in a small quiet neighborhood street. Marco was fantastic! Friendly, accommodating and breakfast was amazing. It's quaint, but you feel a little like you're at home. Very comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay here if we came back to Rome.
This is really just being picky, but there's only one mirror, in the bathroom, and there's no counter space. So, doing makeup/getting ready was a little difficult. Adding a small mirror over the desk/dresser would fix that easily!
Marco, the Owner, is great. He gives you a map and point out 2 routes to visit Roma. He also suggested nice places to eat and nit very common places. He lend us a travél Book That was very helpfull. He assisted us in having a good and inexpensive trip. The breakfast was great
Marco was an excellent host and provided much information and history on Rome
I always worry a bit when a host is so well-regarded by guests, because it can skew their ratings of the accommodations upwards. That is absolutely not the case here. This is a fantastic place to stay in all regards. There's not a thing I would fault.
This place is in a good locality with a supermarket and various restaurants at one end and the Metro at the other end. So we absolutely loved it here and not to forget an extremely nice host....Marco :) He is very helpful and friendly. We had such a pleasant stay.
The room is small and the shower even smaller. Its not a resort but a private 3 bedroom apartment.
We absolutely loved our stay here! The location is perfect, we were able to walk everywhere! Also, a home cooked breakfast every morning, who wouldn't want that!? If I ever have the opportunity to come back to Rome, this is where I will be stating!
Great place. Very helpful owner. Very convenient without being crazy busy with tourists. Really enjoyed stay - hope to return!
