Relax on the rooftop terrace and swim in the panoramic swimming pool at Hotel Arena, which overlooks Lake Garda. You are just a 5-minute walk from the Virgilio thermal baths.
Score from 443 reviews Very good
Lovely location, the pool was great for the kids, plenty of room in the Family room, the staff were very friendly, the room with balcony facing the lake had lovely views and was very quiet, breakfast was good compared to what we have experienced in Italy before, private car park, excellent hotel for walking to different places
The sofa bed for the kids had metal bits sticking out and was not that comfortable, the bathroom was a bit small, otherwise great place
Views from the balcony, and walks along the lakeside.
Friendly, helpful staff. Nice location, lovely veiws. Queit, comfy room. Air condition. Nice balcony.
We were on honey moon and told the hotel in advance. Some flowers or a bottle of wine in the room would have been lovely. Coffee and tea facilities would have been welcome, especial as the room has a fridge. TV in room but no english tv channels!!
Modern well-run hotel, helpful staff, good air conditioning, fine breakfast. Great relaxing location on the lakefront in the hamlet of Cisano, with lakeside walking/cycling paths to the pleasant small tourist towns of Bardolino and Lazise. Very conveniently, there are several restaurants and shops immediately adjacent to the hotel. Good problem-free hotel car park. Several lake ferry services stop right outside the hotel, although you would have to go to Bardolino or Lazise for more frequent ferries to more destinations. In spite of the beds, we felt lucky to have chosen this hotel and location and when in Garda would go again.
The overriding problem was the hard mattresses and flat hard pillows, which left us side-sleepers with sore hips and less than a good night's rest. Also, our room was on the busy main road, rather than on the lake side of the hotel, although we found that the traffic noise was less a problem than expected. The shower worked fine but was very narrow (don't drop the soap, you won't be able to pick it up).
The hotel was overlooking the harbour and the lake.It was a bit quieter than some of the other towns but that was the beauty ,with plenty of restraunts and bars along the front. The boats stopped all the time to take you to different parts of the lake. The views were stunning the hotel was lovely and spotless and the breakfast was really nice.I would definitely recomend this hotel. Loved the location with bus stop at rear of hotel and boat stop at front. Hotel directly on lake with lovely views from communal sun terrace. We were welcomed with a lovely smile from Carolina on reception And that continued throughout our stay. Have stayed at 4 star hotels in Italy but the service here, delivered with genuine warmth was much better. Also all areas of hotel was spotless. We will be back.
Excellent clean hotel perfect for any tourist!
I very much enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Service and accomodations were superb in every way. Hotel staff is super friendly and willing to do extras for the guests and help in any way needed. Breakfast was excellent with great selection to choose from. Hotel setting is wonderful, right on the water, very close to dock for ferry boats to explore Lake Garda, and close to many great restaurants and cafes. There is a beautiful park with a very nice swimming pool next door to the hotel. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel to other travelers.
It's location. We could walk comfortably along the shores of the Lake to both Bardolino and Lazise which was a bonus. We shall return.
very good hotel, staff where very good, location fantastic, breakfast was really good, very nice atmosphere, good hotelfor the family and couples, fantastic area,my first time in lake garda will be going back soon and to this hotel
two things which could be better the room i was in only had a shower and so did my daughters room and its not very big, plus ,not that i used it but the wi fi was not great
Everything Location Location Location Cannot fault it, will definetly be back to do and see more.
The location and the breakfast room are fabulous.
That we didn't stay longer!
Excellent hotel with beautiful lake view and very nice outlook. We also enjoy the dinner and wine in the hotel .
Nice, clean, good location, fine restaurant.
Great base for touring around surrounding villages. All staff very friendly and two girls on reception were particularly helpful when seeking advise for our day trips. Super location on the lake side with 6 bars restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Lovely 20 minute stroll along the lake side to Bardolino. hotel is spotlessly clean and couldn't find any fault with accommodation.
Only slight moan is the occasional noise from the traffic on the adjacent road but then again the bus stops on your door step!!
Great location on the lakefront with a guest parking lot beside the hotel. A very pleasant private park area with a large swimming pool also on the lakefront, admittedly the water is a bit cool for swimming mid May :-(. It was so nice to find a modern hotel with spotless marble floors and a balcony overlooking the lake at such modest cost. The restaurant was pleasant for dinner and served a copious buffet breakfast.
The bathroom was small, not a problen for us, but Oversize guests might have difficulty fitting into the shower stall !
Being right on the lake is all we asked for. Walking either way on the beach from the hotel is very easy and relaxing. Hotel is easy to find and provides plenty of free parking. Breakfast is very good with many choices.
Our room was looking out on the courtyard shared by the hotel next door. During a busier season the people walking through this area would probably be somewhat noisy. Ask for a room not facing the courtyard. Fixed that.
Great location, very keen, and staff were very helpful
Excellent location on the waterfront of lake Garda, beautiful hotel, clean, spacious and comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff, and most amazing breakfast I ever had in the hotel - we would stay here again!
Wi-Fi was a bit of the hassle - we had to walk around the room to get a signal, but it was not a big problem - we didn't come there to surf internet, so we just enjoyed a beautiful view of the lake and mountains trough the window.
An excellant place to stay, with very friendly staff. I hope to return in the near future.
I liked the location, facilities, cleanliness, friendliness and it was good value for money. Overall I could not find any fault with this hotel.
There was nothing I could say that I did not like about this hotel.
We were surprised when we arrived to find this hotel right on the waterfront in front of a small marina with a boardwalk. We had a quadruple room which was fine as we were staying just one night (although we wished we had spent at least another night in Bardolino). Front desk staff was great - offered us some recommendations and very friendly. We walked into Bardolino and was a great little town center with some shops and restaurants and a very nice and clean boardwalk area. It was very pleasant. Visit the Olive Oil Museum - it's a quick 1-hr self guided tour with two videos that the kids can sit through and get a sense on how they make the oil. We had a tasting at the end and purchased some of the oil along with some wood products make from the wood of the olive tree. Breakfast was typical european but was plentiful and good selection for the kids as well.
I wish we had scheduled to stay longer at this location!
I really like brakefirst.
My room was unde road :/
