Villa Pannonia is in Venice-Lido, a quarter mile from the Vaporetto (water bus) stop to St. Mark’s Square in Venice. It offers free Wi-Fi and a small flower garden.
Score from 299 reviews Excellent
Located just 270 yards from Venice’s Saint Mark's Square, Palace Bonvecchiati offers contemporary rooms with elegant furniture and air conditioning. There is a gym, Turkish bath and sauna on site.

The Ausonia & Hungaria is in a building featuring modern or Art Nouveau decor and a façade with majolica tiles. It is 270 yards from the beach and a 5-minute walk from the Vaporetto water bus stop.

Set on the peaceful banks of Giudecca Island, the Hilton Molino Stucky is a former flour mill refurbished to become a unique hotel.

Great location, away from hustle and bustle of Venice.
Parking fees expensive.

Hotel staff were more than great, everyone has a unique friendly way and nice smile. .. Far from central Venice but much better than central area . You can go to Venice by hourly boat from morning to midnight it takes 20 minutes & sometime just 10 minutes. .. The hotel is directly front of the beach and has its own swimming pool ..some good Italian restaurants just 15 minutes walking .. Nice café open till morning. .
To be honest the hotel doesn't deserve 5* or its price is very overvalued. . Very charming place but the price too much. . Also, it would be good if the hourly shuttle works till 12.30 as it is very nice to stay in San Marco square until that time...
Fantastic view from the family suite with sea view. Lovely room. Friendly and very helpful staff. Nice historic atmosphere. Gorgeous entrance. Free boat rides every hour to and from St Marc's Square. Famous hotel where many stars have stayed.
Avoid this season (October) as the hotel is closing down for the season with these disadvantages: Could not open the windows at night due to a mosquito invasion and the hotel had closed the air conditioning. However the second night a fan was made available. Pool was closed. Beach area with second restaurant was closed. The main restaurant was very pricy and I got an bad skin allergy from toxins in the grilled fish platter and had to go and see a doctor all of which ruined my stay.
The whole hotel was great, staff was very helpful with everything, they even converted our money for us.
Location on the beach. Free good boat ride to St. Mark's Square on a very regular basis, Friendly staff.
We booked two rooms months ago. Both Venice sight. On arrival we were given a room on the 5th floor and a room on the 7th while we had rooms next to each other intentionally or at least on the same floor. One of the rooms had a Venice view and the other sea view which was not in conformity with booking and confirmation. In one of the rooms there had been a leak and the carpet had become very wet. This was not cleaned properly and it maked the room very musty and smelly. A smell that was not getting away. We confronted the hotel two times with the problem but they have done nothing about it. Furthermore, the breakfast room is a feeding barn where not everything was well organised and the place has no style no class. Overall this hotel did not do well in our eyes. Problems can arise that does not matter, but they must be resolved or well made. A bottle of Prosecco and an apology had been helped.
Nothing to dislike
Grand Hotel on the Adriatic. Quiet relief from the crowds of Venice.Great breakfast.Rooms quiet. Beds very comfortable.
Drinks very expensive, also restaurant service.
Beach and pool. Transfer to and from Venice.
A chef cooking eggs / omelets to order at breakfast would have been nice.
The hotel was first class, beautiful room, lovely breakfast, free boat transfers to St Marks Square, nice pool and bar
Getting bitten by mosquitoes in room at night - really need to have flyscreens on the windows
Quiet and a bit lazy atmosphere perhaps due to low season. Nice interior in the rooms. Good food and perfect service.
Rooms are technically equipped poor compared to other hotels of the same rating. A bit disappointed with the shape of the hotel outside. It requires immediate renovation. We expected marvelous design of the main lobby. But it's not impressive at all.
Location and view of hotel was perfect,
Breakfast buffet could be better for this price
We enjoyed everything about the hotel. Beach, pool, very large standard room with fantastic view.
Service and personell were excellent. Taxi to S Marco is a real plus.
The location was superb, and their boat shuttle to St. Mark's square was very good. The hotel itself is also grandiose, and its pool is very nice.
Overpriced, especially the food. Service mixed: some staff very good, others not so (slow, and no response to requests). English skills sometimes limited, and they don't seem to ask when they don't understand. Some of the facilities are a bit worn (lower level bar/restaurant).
Polite staff, transport to/from hotel to St Marco, beach, hotel facilities
All that you can expect from a 5-star luxury hotel on the beaches of Venice Lido. Especially cool was complimentary shuttle to the lagoons as well as beach facilities like cabanas and waiters hovering around all the time. Classy and stylish - could not get more out of a 100-year old residence. Professional staff and guaranteed privacy.
An indoor pool and spa would do good in times of bad weather. Rooms look bigger on pictures would upgrade next time definitely. Minor renovations or fixes for the rooms might be of consideration.
situation of the hotel breakfast boat to st marcs square
Had to ask 3 times for a cork screw to be delivered to room very expensive- not value for money with food and drinks
The room was lovely and there was a bottle of proscesso on Ice waiting in our room on arrival. The view from the terrace is beautiful and the swimming pool is a real bonus since the sea was not clean when we were there.there is also a free boat to st Marks square every hour.
It was a shame that once you are at the hotel eating and drinking is over expensive. It would be nice if it was more affordable and then I'm sure lots of people would eat in. Free water In the room would be a nice touch.
Great location. Excellent boat service to Venice.
Chaotic breakfast. Noisy live music on the seaside terrace
Location Transfer to Venice
The hotel is beautiful, the staff are pleasant and helpful and the pool and beach areas are really nice. The boat to and from St Mark's is a real bonus.
This is an expensive hotel.... there are not nearly ENOUGH staff, however nice the ones there are, so service is slow - having been to Asia recently they really need to up their service game to compete. Breakfast is a shabby affair, maybe because it is 'inclusive' and therefore not a money maker but its chaotic, only served until 10 and below par for a five star hotel of this cost. Water around the pool has to be paid for at 8 Euros per bottle (most good hotels offer water all day throughout the day to residents) and this comes with the sort of disgusting plastic glass you get at a water cooler. If I have to pay that sort of money, I want a proper nice plastic glass with ice. To top it all, and this is not mentioned on their website, if you want to sit on that beautiful beach on anything other than your own towel, you are obliged to rent a cabana at vast daily cost - minimum 90 Euros and that is only for two people, if your party is larger this comes with a massive supplement. It is unconscionable to charge residents to sit on the private beach belonging to the hotel and for this reason I would not recommend or return to the Excelsior. Seriously, the whole place needs to look at the standards of newer hotels and learn. They are trading on past glory and at that price its not good enough.
We loved our Moorish decorated rooms, the water taxi rides to and from Venice, and the sumptuous breakfasts!
Beautiful hotel, very luxurious and stunning beachside setting. The free shuttle boat every half an hour was really useful.
Only grumble... No tea making facilities in room and at 10 euros a cup I did without!
