Could not open the window due to mosquitos. Would be nice to install anti mosquito screens on the windows...
Very nice rooms
Cold water for the shower and no restaurant in the hotel.
Amazing pool area, with lots of green and tranquility Overall decent deco Nice crowd For Italy standards this feels more like 5 star
Wifi wasn't too stable
The wellness facilities outside and inside were great
The hotel needs a renewial outlook
We spent only one night in this wonderful Hotel.. we wish we could have stayed more nights because everything was perfect! The Hotel has a remarkable architectural style and is surrounded by green hills, one of which has a marvellous castle that is at walking distance. We enjoyed the outdoor swimming pool and had snacks and the Italian "aperitivo" in between swims at the "Bistrot": what a great feature having such a snack bar just next to pool and surrounded by nature and a golf course. The highlight of this establishment is the health spa..very relaxing.. it's a real plus! Breakfast was delicious and yum; probably one of the best we had during our short stay in Italy. The Staff was professional, kind and helpful and made us feel welcome. If we get a chance to go back to Italy in the near future we'll definitely consider Vergilius, and would also stay few more days as the area and surroundings are just stunning natural and architectural wonders.
We should have stayed more days.
Excellent location and facilities. All was great. Breakfast was plentiful and staff friendly, providing good service. Room was excellent having staying in Vicenza several times the room and facilities out way any other motel. Location was easy to find as was parking on site.
The hotel design is awesome ambient.
It did look somewhat abandoned. Few staff and even less occupation, the big negative is the restaurant was closed during my stay, clearly indicated in every hotel paper "the restaurant is available to a minimum of groups of 10 people", altough the hotel had a bit more than 10 guests.
If you have business in the area it's well located. Nice clean airy rooms. Helpful staff. Great pool area. Nice restaurants close by.
Wifi wasn't always good in the rooms. Laundry takes 2 days??
Nice design hotel, well located.
A lot of noise came from German religion sect, day and night. The staff didn't pay attention for that, so I was forced to tell the reception 3 times please stop the noise. Be careful with the groups there.
Very nice hotel. Free parking. We had a great view of the countryside and the Alps from our room. The breakfast was good.
All was good.
Room was perfect and spacious. Staff were helpful. Nice breakfast. A very nice hotel
The hotel was clean and staff was helpfull. The spa area is nice and a plus to the hotel.
We stayed at the hotel during the new years celebration and found on our return a party ongoing in the basement of the hotel. It lasted untill 4 am with loud house music and screaming local yought in and around the hotel. On check out in the moring I was told this was a yearly party the hotel hosted. On asking why we where NOT informed of this prior they had no explenation. Our night and following day where ruined due to not getting any sleep before travelling home all day. The hotel was being refurbished during most of our stay and the main areas where closed off. The spa area was very nice but we where asked to leave after a couple of hours to make space for locals. The beds are quite hard as well as the pillows which after 8 days gets uncomfortable.
The room was cold and the thermostat wouldn't work. They also started renovations and I woke up to not being able to use the first floor to check out.
The upgrade that I paid for to have a suite at an extra 40 euros per night did result in a nice sized room, but not a suite by American standards.
The spa was so clorinated that, after paying 25 euros for 3 hours, we could only stay in the area for 1 hour. We left with red eyes and sore throats. Also, I arranged a reservation with the front desk for a group of friends to come for New Year's Day brunch. The hotel even confirmed the reservation with me the day before. However, when we go there they didn't know anything about the reservation. No table was set. When I asked for processco (sparkling Italian wine) they even failed the decency to wait to have us sign for it. They brough the bill for the bottle to the table. Even the plastic glasses in our room broken before we opened them. For a 4 star, I expect glasses - like I would get at a 3 star hotel. In so many ways they failed the etiquette that you'd expect from common sense, non the less from a pricey 4 star spa.
The highlight of this establishment is the health spa. Free access with your reservation, otherwise up to 25 Euro admission. We received a free room upgrade when we checked in so we had a very spacious suite. Health spa had sauna, steam room, and hot tub. Massages were based on time - 65 Euro for 55 minutes or 25 Euro for 25 minutes. We had both and it was worth it. We plan to return as the weekday and weekend prices for the spa are inexpensive and worth the drive. Hotel did not operate the restaurant on Friday night, but it was open on Saturday and was a good meal even at hotel prices.
Restaurant hours were limited. Difficult to get massage times even as a guest. Need to reserve far in advance.
Best breakfast I have seen in Europe. Big room. Great shower. Safe parking.
The beds were not comfortable. The pillows were really bad for a 4 star hotel.
Nadia on Reception was extremely helpful when we had a problem, thank you Nadia.Overall we Always have a lovely stay at the hotel, lovely staff and lovely rooms! Lovely to see the Restaurant is now open again, although we didn't try it we will on our next visit.
1. The Spa was closed. 2. There is No tea and coffee in the room which is pretty standard for a four star hotel these days in most countries! and the Bar was closed when I wanted a cup of tea on a few occasions. Would make a big difference. 3. The COFFEE FOR BREAKFAST IS AWFUL!! We tried from the machine and fresh from the kitchen. It has never been good here but now seems worse than ever. You need to offer at least ONE decent coffee PLEASE!! Thank you very much.
