Grand Hotel Verona  

The hotel was perfectly clean and of a very good standard. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The location was perfect - only minutes walk from The Arena and the shopping area of Verona. We only had breakfast here but it was very good with plenty of choice. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Great location between train station and main shopping/tourist areas but offering some peace. We walked back to the train station, maybe 10mins. Decent city hotel for a short stay

We really enjoyed our stay here. We were on a city break as we were in Italy for a wedding and stayed an extra few days to see Verona. Our friends stayed in the Hotel di Firenze on the same street which was much cheaper than our hotel and seemed similar quality for this reason I was a little disappointed. In addition we felt from the website when booking that it was closer to the Arena than it actually was so a little misleading. However, we enjoyed our stay and really like the hotel and staff but felt we could have got the same service for less money.

I expected more for the money as I also looked at booking the Hotel Di Firenze but thought that the extra cost would make it a better stay. It also advertised the Arens as closer than it was.

it was the best hotel in Italy. we were very happy that we have chosen it for the first days of honeymoon. the staff showed the friendliest I have ever met. recommend highly. also we liked the atmosphere and furmiture)

The decor was elegant. The reception area and the rooms were of a very high standard. The breakfast room was beautiful and the breakfast choice itself was excellent.

It was not obvious from the website that the private parking down the street entailed leaving the car in the covered garage with the key. I was reticient to do this but there was no option as the street parking was for a maximum of two hours. The person on the desk failed to give precise information, even when asked twice. Not the end of the world but a bit disconcerting.

A good experience throughout. Very helpful efficient friendly staff at reception. Comfortable room. Note was taken of our prior request for a quiet room at back of hotel.

i was really impressed with the level of service receive from this hotel given the poor standards of hotels in Italy in general ... Verona is a lovely place and this hotel made our stay even better, they sent us a free bottle of champagne once they knew we were honeymooners .. i absolutely loved the staff ... internet connection was good and the breakfast was lovely, location couldn't be more idea between the historical center and the train station .. i would go there again

The service from all members of staff was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure we were looked after.

Whilst not in a bad state of repair, the hotel is clearly in need of modernisation. Decoration and furniture looks like it was completed in the mid 90s (if not before). For the price, the hotel fixtures felt a little dated.

Location and big balcony

Tiny shower cubicle in bedroom, tired buffet breakfast.

Very nice hotel, only 10 min walk from railway station and 5 min walk from centre of Verona. Was probably old-fashioned once, but now modern, tasteful and very comfortable. No restaurant in hotel but many within a few minutes walk.

I liked very much that although we booked for a standard double room, they upgraded the room to a suite without paying anything extra!!!location was grate, breakfast excellent, everything was perfect!!! I hope we will be back soon

Il fatto di non poter usare il proprio phon nel bagno,per questioni di sicurezza: l'unica presa disponibile in camera, non aveva uno specchio vicino. Per un 4 stelle dettaglio da migliorare.
