The view of the lovely Bay, the decor of the whole Hotel was tasteful and the room was very comfortable. A good selection at the Buffet Breakfast, pleasant and helpful staff, we felt welcome and enjoyed our stay. Iin this Hotel and in all but one of the Hotels we stayed in during our Italian Holiday, we found this this bathroom very small and crowded and the shower recess was rather miniscule.

The location is across the street from the water. The shower is very small. If you drop the soap you will not be able to bend down and pick it up without opening the shower doors...the room is also very noisy because of the location to the street...it is sparsely furnished.....get this..the heat or air temperature is decided by the owner, thats right , the guest has no control.....excuse me!

The location is perfect and the hotel is very nice. The family room is two separate rooms with a bathroom in between so privacy for all.. Staff could not of been nicer. Everything fine, breakfast a mite skimpy but otherwise very good.

Staff at the Vesuvio very friendly and helpful. Our room was quite spacious, with two balconies. Bathroom small, with shower over the bath. Hotel is situated on a busy road overlooking the seafront, lots of palm trees. Short easy walk to train station and frequent trains to Genoa and Cinque Terre. Ferry terminal for Portofino etc 50 metres from hotel. Rapallo very busy during our stay at Easter, but it is an attractive, friendly resort.

The staff were absolutely excellent, charming and went that extra mile to make our stay enjoyable. Close proximity to Porto Fino (about 20 minute drive). There is no hotel parking though we found it easy to park in the road along the promenade and in the nearby car park. Parking costs are around Euro 10 per day. Parking could be more difficult in the summer months - we visited in late February.

Charming building located central to restaurants and shops and directly opposite Rapallo beach. If you want to visit Portofino, stay in Rapallo or Santa Margherita Ligure as Portofino is very small and very expensive. Regardless of the price there is more to see and do in Rapallo or SML. Portofino is well worth a day visit and half the pleasure is walking there along the dramatic coastline. We caught a bus from Rapallo to Santa Margherita (E1.50) and walked the 5km to Portofino. Some parts of the walk were a little dangerous as the footpath ceased to exist, but with may people walking, both walkers and cars were being cautious. The views along the way were spectacular. The gentleman on reception at Hotel Vesuvio was very welcoming, walked us to our room and was happy to provide us with the information on how to get to Portofino. He was also happy for us to leave our luggage downstairs on checkout day and collect it later.

Small boutique three star hotel right in the centre of the action overlooking the harbor.Nice people running the hotel-waived one nights accommodation charge when we were unable to reach the hotel on our scheduled book in date due to a regional train strike.Room quite small even by Italian standards but functional and well presented with a small balcony and lovely water views. Charge for the use of wifi network .All other hotels we have visited provide free of charge.

This family run hotel is in an excellent location right on the sea front. The staff are frieendly and helpful with passable English. The hotel is spotlessly clean and bright. Nothing to dislike about the hotel or staff.

Smiling, friendly and helpful reception staff with good English. Good location with easy access to shops, bars, restraurants, beach, trains and ferries - no need for car hire. Nice rooms. Fairly lively and noisy on street and promenade until 0100 in morning but ok with windows closed and air-con.

The hotel is really higher than announced 3 stars. The staff is extremely helpful (almost everyone mentions this and I am no exception); we've got the very room with two balconies as it is shown at the website without any additional booking. Quite close to railway station (5-7 min), ferry boats (opposite), beach (5 min), shops (streat behind the hotel), together with excellent views for the bay and the promenade. The air condition works fine and very quiet, so no problem even in August. Suprisingly rich breakfast for Italy.

Thankyou to our host Luciano for our very pleasant stay in Rapallo. We really enjoyed talking with Luciano, who is extremely accomodating, as are all of his staff - friendly, very helpful and 24hour desk coverage. Friends had recommended Luciano and Hotel Vesuvio, they have been back a few times. An ideal location, fabulous view of the Marina in the Bay of Tigullio. Hotel Vesuvio is a relaxing place, great to sit on the balcony and watch the passing parade of people walking along the promenade.Rapallo is a busy town, a great place to explore the surrounding areas, including the Cinque terra. 3Minutes from train station. Really great restaurants, all with great foods, a range of pastas, fish and local cuisine. Great buffet breakfast - very good coffee.

The sea front location , the balcony and the caring staff. Rapallo is a great little seaside town and the hotel serves it well. No parking, not that much can be done about that but my main beef was paying for WiFi, most hotels have woken up to free provision of this modern day medium of communication. We were told it is expensive in Italy but it was the only hotel to charge.

Luciano and his staff were brilliant. they quickly made us feel like old friends and nothing we asked of them was too much trouble. The situation (overlooking the sea) was perfect with the lovely town immediately behind - and it's proximity to the Cinque Terre perfect for anyone wanting the best of all things. Roll on our next visit!

This hotel was fantastic value for money. The owner gave us such a warm and friendly welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Being right on the sea front it can be a little noisy but it wasn't a problem as with the windows closed and the airconditioning on( which was very quiet and efficient) you really can't hear anything outside. The owner and staff are the stand out thing with this hotel. The only thing we noticed was you could hear other patrons in their rooms but not enough to spoil our stay.

The staff of this family owned and run hotel were amazing. They couldn't do enough for us including finding information for us out of hours. Really friendly and the servicing of our room could not be faulted. We felt valued as customers and were treated more as friends as the staff were keen to chat and showed a genuine interest in us. There was nothing not to like,
