The B&B was on a charming street in Montepulciano, not too far to walk from the car park (up a fair few stairs, but do-able), very close to a couple of friendly bars and restaurants. The owner gave us a lovely friendly welcome, and recommended several restaurants in the town. We went to one of them (the nearest, and he even reserved a table for us!) and were not disappointed. Our room was fantastic - a huge attic room with great sloping roofs, lovely restored beams, and attic windows looking up at the old buildings of the town. We did not close the blinds (the buildings were far enough away that we felt private), and in the morning I opened my eyes to lovely blue skies and the buildings and roofs of Montepulciano. The B&B had been renovated to a very high standard, and everything was top quality and very modern, while still maintaining its traditional charm. A lovely spot.
