The location is very good. The hotel is just outside the Shopping quarter but is sited on a relatively quiet street. Since we did not have our own transport we found it very convenient as it is only about a 5-minute leisurely walk to Piazza Aldo Moro where all the public transport facilities are sited. The staff were also very helpful: on our final day there they readily agreed to our request to let us keep our room for the whole day because we had a night flight. They were always fun to talk to and did their best to provide for our needs. The hotel is not a four-star hotel at all. Breakfast was basic: the same unchanging items everyday and not much choice anyway. The room was quite clean and comfortable but it had a rather shabby appearance: a renovation is long overdue. Luckily we stayed during the Easter holidays because the room was hot and the airconditioning emits only warm air, a fact confirmed by one of the staff when we asked him: it must be hell in summer! The walls are incredibly thin, presumably made of wood (?), and I had to bang on them to make the guest in the room next to mine to lower his tv set at 2 in the morning: even when he did so, one could still hear the set.

Location: Near to the train station, shopping area. 1. Very old style decoration. 2. The sofa leather was broken 3. The bed is worse than my 15 years old bed at the storage. It hurts you back. 4. You can smell people smoking outside your room. 5. Very noizy during the night since there is a bar down stairs. 6. No place to park near the hotel unless you pay 20 Euro per night.

A simple hotel with a long time (feels like 20-25 years) non-renovated appartments.

The number one advantage are the staff who were friendly, polite and very helpful with any questions. Our room was small but modern (it was one of the higher-priced rooms, we upgraded after reading reviews online, I guess the older rooms are a very different experience) with a great shower, comfortable beds, toiletries and a large balcony. Breakfast is very good and the dining area and wine bar are bright, modern and welcoming. The location is great, an easy walk from the train and just around the corner from the shopping of Via Sperano and a few minutes further on to get to Piazza Ferrarese and Bari Vecchia. Grazie mille e "alla prossima" a tutti al Hotel Victor. There are significant works ongoing on some floors, it might be a good idea to cover this area with a screen for the duration of the works so guests don't see it.

The room we stayed was renovated recently and very clean, comfortable, and quiet. There was wifi available but for some reason, I couldn't with my iPhone. The renovation is still going on and some part of the hotel is old- dated. You have to walk a bit to old town.

Good location, very closed to city centre. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was basic, but enough and tasty. Room was allways clean. My room has a 70's design, old bathroom.

The inclusive breakfast and the location - that is it! The location is good if you need access to the Bari central train and bus terminals. The port is easily accessed via the bus if needed. The hotel is partly renovated, some rooms are very nice while others are in desperate need of a revamp. We unfortunately booked a room that needed a revamp and regretted it... The price paid didn't at all meet the mark in value. The light switches and air conditioning were difficult to use as there were so many switches with no markings. The check out time is at 10am much earlier than other European hotels. The carpet was quite dirty and being bright blue, dust was easily identified everywhere.

Even though the colours and decor date from the 70's, it's good value for money, near to the station, big bathroom with hairdryer, big bed, buffet breakfast ok.

Only two short blocks from the University campus makes the Victor a great choice for academicians on business trips; another 4 blocks and you're at Piazza Aldo Moro, the transportation hub. To get to the old part of the city requires roughly 15 - 20 minutes of moderate speed walking along main streets that had plenty of people present even until around 1 or 2am. Some of the rooms are already refurbished and the updates look fresh and airy. Those areas not yet done are clearly worn, but still clean and comfortable with nice beds and pillows. The breakfast offered a variety of breads, hard boiled eggs, meats, cheese, fruits, cereals, and beverages. All of the staff, from front desk to housekeepers, were pleasant and helpful. A better knowledge of Italian on my part would have made several exchanges quicker, but, hey, it's southern Italy, so smile, slow down, and enjoy being there! (You'll learn to love the 1 - 430pm lunch breaks, too.)
