The hotel was indeed clean, modern, overall a comfortable stay. I left my passport in the room and realised this when I checked in at Sorrento. It was 8pm at that time, as I was going to Capri the day after I asked if I could pick up my passport that night, which the host demanded no. He doesn't speak good english, but after a while we came to an agreement to meet in 1 hour at 9pm. We were speeding along the coast to make it there by 9, If you have driven between Amalfi and Sorrento you will know it takes 80-90 minutes driving at a normal pace. After I arrived, he greeted me in the town centre with it, which was nice.

The parking was a bit of an issue.. It's 20 euro, and you basically pay someone to park it somewhere else for you. I'm not sure if its garaged, because we never saw it. When we got to the entrance of the Amalfi town centre, a stranger said "Hotel Amalfi, Hotel Amalfi" then jumped in our car and directed us to go up. Then when we got off at our stop, another man stopped us and asked for the key. We're in ITALY! How can we simply trust someone who can't communicate to us or introduce themselves? After a while, he showed the booking information on his phone.. It's a short walk to the town centre and it is a bit of a hike to get up to the top, but not much of a problem. There are no views of the water (hence the pictures are misleading). Breakfast was extremely basic, croissants, some stale bread and jam. orange juice was not fresh, but cordial. Overall it was overpriced. The only reason I booked it was because of the good reviews and I thought there was a view of the city from above.

The room was very clean and comfortable, and it has all the amenities we need. The staff was very friendly.

The hotel is little far from the bus stop, and it was not fun to drag a suitcase up the hill.

Breakfast brought to our room and being able to eat out on the veranda. The owner was very friendly and anxious to be helpful.

Had to go to the tourist office to find location, but they called someone with an electric cart to carry us and our luggage to the B & B.

    Renewed house, nice terrace.

Very small quadruple room - it would be small already for 2 people. You will have to climb the steep stairs with the luggage to reach the place - not easy if you are not fit. Don't expect to park your car anywhere nearby, garage is a must and costs extra.

Wonderful owner who served good breakfast on the terrace. Good quality residential area, a bit removed from tourists.

The 75 steps to get in or out!

The location and villa itself is simply amazing. Nature around is breathtaking. Not that noisy at night as the city center.

Continental breakfast is a bit poor.

Brand new refurbished and nice rooms. Very nice roof terrace. The host is friendly and trying hard to make everything work smoothly. Offered free pasta one evening for all guests. Wi-Fi Internet is very good.

Breakfast is not really as on the picture..no fruit, cheese, salami, eggs. Private beach is not for Adriana guests only. Everybody can go there. Boat is not free as stated. We spend EUR40 going there twice.
