Loved the hospitality of the employees; they really went out of their way to help me with whatever I needed. Also the breakfast was absolutely amazing! Keep up with that breakfast, because it is something worth coming back for.

The quality of some renovation work in the old building.
Villa has a really nice park and excellent staff, which makes up some other things that are not so impressive.

The superior single rooms could be a bit more specious along with the bed.
The hotel, as it was renovated completely this year, offers amazingly clean rooms with all new furniture and facilities. The staff even offers free rides to/from the city centre making your stay even more comfortable. All in all, an amazing experience.

It is a bit out from the center of Florence but very close to the piazzale Michelangelo.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. As it was a holiday, there was no room service but the receptionist organised cold meats, cheeses and rolls for me. On check out, the buses were irregular. The hotel owner personally brought me to the station. I was alone and had much baggage so this was invaluable for me.

The first thing that comes to mind when describing the villa is the Tuscan haven. This is definitely not yet another hotel in the city centre, but a one that offers what could be called the Tuscan experience. While the city of Florence is but a walk down hill away and a beautiful walk it is, the hotel offers a perfect refuge from the city buzz allowing one to rest and relax. The villa, while a beauty on its own, has a real gem of a garden. And the garden is huge expanding over acres of land. This is a perfect place for those whose dreams of Tuscany where inspired by perhaps such films as ''Stealing Beauty'' or parts of ''The Best of Youth''. While walking or even losing oneself in the garden, it is easily possible to forget that one is actually in the city and feel more like on a holiday in a Tuscan countryside. The garden in the day is one thing, but at night it offers such amazing calmness, that one can hear the cypresses being moved by the wind, the water flowing gently in the fountains, the sounds of birds and smell the amazing scent of nature at that time.

The building is magnificent, the staff were so kind and helpful and the gardens are beautiful. I cannot recommend this hotel enough - it was great. True value for the money. And the location is just a few minutes from Piazza di Michelangelo.

It was a difficult walk from centre of Florence.
Beautiful property - stunning view from room. The breakfast excellent. Lunch and dinner exceptional though extra cost. Loved the quiet atmosphere and waking up to the nuns chanting during their morning mass.
