My daughter is in a wheelchair. The nuns were very accommodating . She was able to get in shower and on bus easy to get into town. Beautiful, peaceful grounds.

The beautiful gardens and being located just outside of the old city. We were very fortunate to experience an amazing thunder and lightning show from our window in the late evening that lasted two hours.

When staying there you need to remember that the nuns hold service in the Villa and to mindful. Both my daughters had never experienced nuns before and were not sure what to make of it. But the beauty of the location changed how they felt and had an amazing time there.

I really love that atmosphere. Great setting old villa with large garden and surrounding. Piazza Michelangelo on walking distance and from there to the centre of Florence. I can enjoy an incredible garden...

no wifi...its needed to be back on hotel until 11pm...nuns dont speak english

The sisters were very welcoming and made you feel at home. The rooms are clean and comfortable and have all that is necessary. The food was good and tasty. The rooms downstairs are lovely. The gardens are a national monument and are a joy to wander around.

    Insects! Got badly bitten!

Wonderful place for enyoing in the spirit of Florence

A price of a dinner is little bit expensive.

The nunnes were very friendly and helpful. The garden of the Villa is very beautiful. Dinner very delicious. Rooms very clean. Walk into the Center is very beautiful, lovely view of the city

Breakfast poor and very basic. The location can be a disadvantage because it takes 30 mins to walk to the center, and the walk back is steep uphill.

It is not your traditional hotel, but the experience is unique. It is run by nuns (we only met one from day one to our exit, who did everything, from the welcoming to the check out). The surroundings are beautiful, the rooms are a little bit Spartans, no luxuries, but have everything necessary. It is located on a hill top facing the city. Far enough from the city center to go by walk but only 5 minutes by car to Porta romana car parking, and from there Ponte vecchia is only a 1km away.

    The nuns don't speak English

As other visitors have already stated, the stay at Villa Agape is an experience. The views, the location, the nuns, the staff, all add to this wonderful experience. Thanks to all for making this family holiday a memorable one.

Maybe the Internet connection points should be added, because the wi-fi is poor in some locations within the hotel

Lovely environment, with very comfortable accommodation. Close to the town and attractions.

Food could have been a bit more varied. The desserts were always the same.

The sisters were caring and very helpful to provide an adapter, book taxis etc. Although I don´t speak Italian we somehow understood each other. The dinner was good local food with fantastic desert in form of a pear cake with choclate shavings. The well cared for gardens put the neglected Boboli Gardens to shame. My stay was an absolute delight!

The views and the garden is even more beautiful than the pictures!

Nobody spoke a word English and nobody responded on my e-mails before I came up. I emailed and called about placing an extra bed for a friend who came along, but when she turned up we had to book an extra single room and could not go into a double.

Villa Agape is not just a place to stay, it's an experience in and of itself. The nuns are absolutely wonderful, the gardens are beautiful, and the three-course meals are excellent. I would love to go back after learning more Italian as the nuns speak little to no English. Despite this, however, they do their very best to accommodate your requests. Villa Agape is an amazing place to stay and I hope you decide to make it your "home" while in Florence.

Unique experience. It is an old, but very conserved, villa at the hills close to Firenze. The ambiance is amazing. Yet, it is a very basic and simple hotel. It is almost like you staying at someone`s house. It is very welcoming and cozy, but do not expect fancy things. It is not that far from the center (I walked there a couple of times), and the view of the way is gorgeous.

It is not so easy to reach for the first time, specially if you are walking.

Stunning property, oozing class from a bygone age. Ideal if you want somewhere quiet after a long day sightseeing in Firenze. The type of gardens you would have to pay to visit.

We had two single rooms that were quiet basic/spartan.

room was extremely cold (October) and insufficient blankets provided; bring your thermals! When explained this the next morning was met with indifference; room is Spartan and mattress not the best

Awesome yerritore, quite and cosy place, great historical villa The hotel is run by friendly sisters, but they don't speak English Free parking

Even though we asked for double room, we got twin room with separated beds. Beds are so uncomfortable, that I couldn't fall asleep all night You are not allowed to come to villa after 11pm Breakfast is very poor To my opinion hotel is a bit overpriced for such lelev of comfort

Great location and surroundings: close to Florence's center, but still quiet, with stunning gardens and views towards the city; Excellent dinners - I warmly recommend all visitors to have dinner at the villa at least once during their stay.

Our room was a bit cold for us, but this should not be a problem in warmer weather.

Elegant 's is everything. From prayer time to breakfast to the evening meals they were awesome. I am actually going back next week as well; this time with family in tow. One lucky lady we meet has lived there for past 5 years.

Building and gardens with great views. Although no English the Nunn tried very hard.

With no English there needs to be more written instructions for foreigners. The wifi was not available in the room. No insect screens on windows.

This is not the place for those looking for 5 star luxury, but for those looking for a unique experience in the gorgeous Tuscan hills with friendly and hospitable nuns, who run this villa, it is a gem. I loved it.

It is a long walk up very steep roads out of town, but worth the walk.

Great personal, great interior!!! Great garden and flora. Old real Florence villa. If you have a car or don't afraid to use a public bus - this is a great place for calm and peaceful rest. Real Italy!!

Not in the city centre and there is no TV in the room, but it was OK.
