The breakfasts were sumptious; in fact a little too much so. Carlo was incredibily helpful. The coffee and cake on arrival was a special treat. He went out of his way to help with everything; even taking our wet clothes and drying them and ironing them without charge. He made us feel really at home. |

Everything, the hotel staff were very attentive and helpful. The breakfast was the biggest ever had at an hotel and the dishes just kept coming all at a very high standard. We wish our stay had been longer. |

Lovely room, helpful staff, clean, central location. The hotel even picked me up and dropped me back at the airport for a very reasonable fee. As a single traveller it would have been nice if there was a central bar or lounge area to meet other people staying at the hotel |

The warm service of the staff made the stay very enjoyable. The breakfasts were gastronomical and the service hospitable. A real effort was made to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. The location of the hotel was perfect, only a few hundred meters from the beach and town square. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend Villa Antica Tropea to others. I found the language barrier to be difficult with most staff, however they speak Italian in Italy so it is more my problem than any one elses. |

Excellent situation and great rooftop breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff Not a criticism at all really, just a suggestion to turn the breakfast into a help yourself buffet, which would mean less waste. They bring food to the table without you knowing what else is to be offered, so you may take things you end up leaving. eg I took cereal, only because I didn't know a huge fruit platter would be offered afterwards! |

Our room was spacious, comfortable, clean with fridge T.V.,DVD. Frescos on the wall. Good location for a stay in Tropea. Valentina and Giancarlo were welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was excelent as was the service by the staff. We really enjoyed our stay. |

Perfect location for our first few days in Tropea. Very helpful staff, - they're doing everything right! Our room, #5, with it's own exterior door to the front terrace, was great. The on-line description and photos are spot-on, which isn't always the case. Tropea is MAGIC, and Villa Antica is a great place to stay. |

We loved that it was so central. When we arrived I was not too happy with the original room given, (there was nothing wrong with it, i'm just fussy). The girl and the owner were so accomodating and showed us every other room so we could choose ourselves. The big and wonderful breakfast in the morning was served up on the terrace by a lady who was a pleasure to wake up to she was so helpful. Nothing we didn't like. Rooms were beautiful and management very friendly! |

The hotel is very centrally located with a romantic design and layout. Courtyards are shaded by orange trees and the room facilities are excellent with antique design features. We had breakfast on the roof terrace every day, which was fantastic. The staff were extremely helpful, very personable and couldn't do enough for us. A most enjoyable stay! Because of the location, there are no reserved parking spaces for guests, but we always managed to find a space on a nearby squre. |

Villa Antica Tropea is perfectly located in the centre of Tropea. We had a beautiful room, with a wonderful painted ceiling and fantastic power shower in the bathroom. A wonderful breakfast was served every morning on the roof terrace. What made our stay so enjoyable though was the kindness and hospitality of our hosts Valentina and Giancarlo. We can't wait to return. |

Room was beautiful but not very big. Location perfect. Staff very friendly. No bath which I would expect at this price. Fairly expensive for what it was. No communal areas to relax in. |

The hotel is smack in the center of Tropea which is good. But therefore also not so near the train station if you plan to walk. I had a luxurious room in the back without any disturbances. The couple running the place are so kind and helpful, the owner even drove me in his car to the station when I left. |

Everything was just perfect; the wonderful staff, the abundant breakfast on the roof terrace, the spacious rooms with a nice Art Nouveau interior. We loved it. Somewhat noisy during evenings but not a big problem. It's Italy after all. |

You could walk everywhere form the centrally located Villa Antica Tropea, which made it easy and delightful to roam and discover the town and beaches of Tropea. What a special place! Like other hotel operators we have encountered from bookings.com, Giancarlo had connections and recommendations for everything we needed, or wanted to do. From greeting us with a smile when we arrived hours late due to traffic delays, helping with bags and serving a large breakfast for European standards, to restaurant recommendations where we had a truly wonderful cheap meal, which was not always the case during our 6 weeks of travel. We picked this hotel because of the reviews we read of it on Bookings.com and we were not disappointed, we had an adequate picture of it and we will go back again |

Das beste Hotel unserer Rundreise (10 Hotels). Schönes Gebäude und üppiger Garten, wunderschöne individuell eingerichtete große Zimmer. Toller Service. Privater Laptop mit Internet wurde uns angeboten. Unglaubliches Frühstück auf Terrasse, paßt kaum auf zwei Tische und wird in vielen Gängen serviert. Man sollte Zeit mitbringen und genießen! Wollen unbedingt wiederkommen. Die dreistöckige Hotel -Villa ist inzwischen von ca 5stöckigen Mietshäusern umgeben - aber dafür kann das Hotel nichts. |
