Awesome view of Castel Aragonese and great swimming area.
Rooms are a little outdated.
The owner and his family are wonderful - hands down. The accommodations are perfect. A/C works flawlessly, showers are hot and there is plenty of water pressure, the restaurant serves a KILLER risotto... and the views from the hotel are priceless. Is there anything else to say?!?!?! Stay here... you will NOT regret it! Ciao, Andrew
Google maps doesn't give a hint of the amazing location of this hotel - right on the sea with stunning views to the Castello Aragonese and distant islands. The rooms are immaculate, and open on to courtyards. The private beach is equipped with numerous places to sit, as well as boats, lilos and the like. It's a very short walk (a few minutes) into the town, which has many excellent cafes and restaurants.
I booked Hotel Villa Antonio last minute in an effort to tag-along with some friends who already had plans in Ischia. Their hotel was full and so I booked here because it was the only hotel in the vicinity of their hotel with an available room (they had one room left). Ironically, they were envious of my hotel! Villa Antonio is a slice of heaven... Hands down. I have traveled extensively and can say without reservation that Villa Antonio is fabulous!! The hotel offers clean, neatly appointed rooms with picture-perfect views of Castello Aragonese, easy access to the water for swimming from one of their many patios (outfitted with new lounge chairs), and a small restaurant for convenient meals. The family who runs the hotel was friendly and their two daughters who speak English were able to offer helpful advice about the entire island. The rooms were immaculately maintained. The bed was comfortable. The shower was piping hot and had plenty of water pressure. The air conditioning was perfect. The views were breathtaking. I will visit again. Done. [One should note that the hotel is built into the cliff face and so there are a good number of steps to and from one's room (an elevator shaves off a level or two but there will still be some step climbing required, so if you are unable to climb steps easily that would be the one and only possible deterrent to your staying here)] Again, this hotel will not disappoint. Sleep peacefully in a cool and quiet room... And wake up to panoramic views of a castle built in 474 bc... What's not to love?
breakfast,wasn’t worth bothering with.
The hotel owners were friendly and went above and beyond to be helpful. The hotel's little beach was an added benefit and allowed for peace and relaxation
There was nothing I didn't enjoy about Hotel Villa Antonio
Steps could be a problem for some guests.
Very beautiful view of a castle. Beautiful view from balcony. Private beach and sun beds.very friendly and helpful hosts.many restaurants just 2 minutes walk
Everything was great. Thanks!
Came here for a weekend trip with a few friends. The location was amazing! We had the most perfect view of the castle and the water is just a few steps away. This place really feels intimate, doesn't feel like you're in a hotel at all. The older couple that checked us in were very friendly and helpful and despite the language barrier they helped us get some scooters to rent and some discount coupons to Negombo (highly recommended) To get here from the port is a $20 taxi but there a cute little shops and great food all around. We traveled all around the island via scooters which was a blast. The day we left there was a marathon going on and the roads were closed to all vehicles. The older gentleman simply yelled out to one of the locals and he offered us a ride in his boat back to port, definitely added to the greatness of our trip. We will be back. Grazie mille!
Stairs are killer on the legs but we liked the workout! More pillows would've been great but we didn't ask.
