The Chianti region is just 5 km away and the area is full of the charming and historic medieval villages that are typical of the region and famous all over the world. The picturesque surrounding countryside and rolling hills are covered in olive groves and vineyards.
The hotel is in a convenient location for those touring the area and the region’s major road network offers access to all of the area’s many attractions and all of its stunning scenery.
There is plenty to see and do in the surrounding region, from cafes, bars and pubs to traditional Italian restaurants and trattoria and from walking paths and natural beauty to ancient historic churches.
There also a number of fashion outlets and great shops just 12km and 15 km from the villa.

The room, the splendid upkeep of the grounds, the feel of antiquity. This hotel is in a remote area that has only its proximity to the huge power facility as a draw --- and who wants to say "oh, I stayed next to a nuclear power plant? " We chose the hotel because we thought it was in another town that was much closer to Gaiole, where our son was in the L'Roica vintage bike race. There is another place called Meleta that had us confused. |

The setting and the staff were lovely. We particularly enjoyed the grounds and learning a bit about the history. We also liked the proximity to the Chianti region and the beautiful scenery on the roads to that region. The breakfast was lovely, too. We didn't like the abundance of cigarette butts and trash on the on the ground and carton on the table just outside our room. It appeared to be a gathering place for workmen who were careless about cleaning up after themselves. The rest of the grounds were clean and well kept. The diningroom was beautiful, the presentation and service were very nice however, we feel our meal was overpriced for what was presented. |

Beautifull and quiet location, close to the Chianti valley, the surrounding of the villa really gave us a relaxed an peacefull feeling, nice and clean pool in a olive garden, neat room with jacuzzi in the restaured part of the hotel. Must try! The restaurant dissapointed us a bit, but honestly I must say we only ate once in the hotel. Access to the reception during day is limited. The location on itself was not that remoted. |

From the moment we arrived we met smiling, friendly, helpful staff everywhere. A beautiful hotel which we wish well for many years into the future. Congratulations all the staff at Hotel Villa Barberino! We would recommend this hotel as the place to stay. |

The Hotel was superb and has been tastfully renovated over many years. The pool and gardens were excellent, very relaxing with lots of loungers, chairs and shade under the many trees within the garden area. The room and facilities were very good and the restaurant food and setting were again superb, although a little pricy perhaps. Overall, excellent. |

The staff in the restaurant and reception were very kind but only a couple of them knew English. The gardens were beautiful and the area was very quiet. The room was cold at night although they did turn up the heat for us one night after we told them about it. |

The room was clean and the owners friendly The rooms were very cold, the restaurant was closed (although this was not stated in the internet) and the hotel's website gives the wrong impression that the villa is part of the hotel whereas it is the private house of the owner. |

Ho prenotato con un pò di titubanza per un meeting organizzato dalla mia azienda e invece tutto è stato perfetto: un ottimo ristorante gourmet a prezzi accessibili, camere nuove e finemente ristrutturate rispettando la struttura originale(una villa del settecento), un ottimo servizio da parte dello staff che ci hanno messo a disposizione internet veloce wireless proiettore e schermi lcd. Ritornerò presto per una romantica vacanza con mia moglie! |
