Castello Vicchiomaggio is a historic castle dating back to the 1400s. Just outside Greve, it produces and sells its own Chianti wine.

In the central square of Greve in Chianti, Albergo Del Chianti has been in the family for over 20 years.

Overlooking the Chianti Hills, Il Cascino is set in a typical country house. It offers an outdoor pool furnished with sun loungers and parasols, and furnished gazebos in the garden.

Nature, location from Firenze, Siena and Chianti wine road s222 close.
Road to Villa final 500m were bad for car
Fantastic panorama and sunset! Well equiped, nice, clean, peaceful and convinient accomodation for a few days. Breakfast was also good, sweet and salty with different choices.
Location, the view
Could not pay with maestro nor credit card. Also many rules with financial penalties
Just super, the location, the villa, the views. Perfect place to relax and visit nearby vineyards and chianti classico wine region. No problem finding the place with rental car! Good pool, nice big apartment.
Card terminal wasn't working, had to pay by cash, but got multiple days pre noticed, so not a big problem.
The Tuscan landscape was stunning, the staff very friendly, the breakfast fine, and the swimming pool refreshing. The room was historic and beautiful and very well-appointed. The whole complex has much history which the staff shared with us. They even left a key and instructions for us to accommodate our very late arrival.
The location of the villa would not register in our GPS, and the reception desk was already closed, so there was no one to give directions. We called booking.com twice, and they did their best, but they had the same problems as the gps. We finally found a local person still out late at night who knew the way and reached the villa after over 2 hours of searching.
This place is in a dream setting. Perfect for touring Tuscany, and about a forty minute drive into Florence. We regretted that we didn't have enough time to hike from the guest house too.
Not very easy to find first time, even with Waze. Clearer and more detailed directions would be helpful.
the location was close enough to major roadways to make getting around Tuscany pretty easy. Tranquil and quiet, with beautiful views. Staff are amazing. Apartments are good value for families, each bedroom had its own bath ( good showers) Screens on windows made for al fresco nights without Mosquitos
Nothing.some people may have problem with internet but we used it as a chance to unwind.
The location of the villa and the surrounding landscape were marvellous (inlcuding the swimming pool with a very nice view); the Romanian lady serving the breakfast was very kind and helpfull; the authenticity of the buidings (the building was old but well preserved and all the things inside were perfectly matching the building architecture); you can easily visit all Tuscany from this place
The restaurants and supermarkets were far away (you needed to go in the other villages to find some); the road leading to the Villa was in very bad shape, you have to drive very slow and carefully
The view was amazing and the place was very quiet and relaxing.
A lovely, peaceful country retreat away from the hustle and bustle of Florence.
The biggest advantage of this place in the location - the views are just amazing. The villa, pool as well as our room were also very nice and clean. Another thing we liked were breakfasts: simple but quite rich and very tasty.
The biggest disadvantages of this place included continuous problem with the Internet access for guests and the reception personnel who is not too helpful to fix it. We flagged the issue several times however for the whole time we stayed there we weren’t able to access the Internet. Renting bicycles is also problematic – in practice, there are not on site. Minibar is in fact a small refrigerator with two bottles of mineral water. It is not possible to eat or buy anything to drink there – you have to drive everywhere and since there are no bicycles available at hand, going there by car is absolutely a must.
the staff were very kindful and helpfull. its quiet and have beutiful veiw of toscany.
We enjoyed the pool and the room was good, very roomy, air conditioning effective, ensuite well appointed. Breakfast average.
Finding this accomodation was very frustrating, not well signposted and when arriving at destination the long drive in is treacherous!
