Perfect location for those travelling by car as there is ample parking and one can avoid the hectic traffic of the inner city. Very close to a good bus route to get into the old city. Situated in an upmarket residential area, the rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. Even though the hotel was full, it was very quiet. Excellent substantial breakfast. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. For tourists not travelling by car, it is not centrally located and therefore a long walk to the river (approx 40 mins) and other attractions. The walk back is uphill. The bus system is very good however and taxis are plentiful, both of which we found to be very reasonably priced compared to other big cities in Italy.

A small privately owned hotel on the outskirts of Florence in a very quiet location. Breakfast is buffet-style and offers a good choice. The en-suite room was very nicely decorated and furnished. The doors of all rooms had special dampers on them so that we did not hear a single door shut (let alone slam) The staff were very helpful and always friendly and welcoming. They offered very useful advice on where to eat. We could the No 11 bus in to the centre of Florence which was easy and great fun, the buses run approx every 20 mins and tickets can be bought from the hotel.

We're the just married couple and had a romantic trip to Italy. We like the villa itself, very romantic and beautiful place. There is a big garden and a free private parking, that was one of the reason for choosing this place, because we traveled by car. It's about 20 minutes walking distance to the centre, but it's only 10 for the beautiful garden with a palace, which is a good area for walking there in summer. Staff are very friendly and the rooms are nice. Ideal place for the summer holiday. You can have breakfast in the garden. We stayed in January and it was a little bit cold in the hall and at the breakfast place, though it was warm and comfortable in the room. The nearest restaurant is 10 minutes walk. And it would be great if there are boiled or fried eggs on the breakfast.

The staff were friendly and helpful, were able to explain how the city works and how to get around very succinctly and with detail. Allowing us to keep the car parked after we helped out immensely. Hard bed, some furniture was notably cheap (Ikea) would expect higher according to the price we paid.

The location is great if you are travelling by car. The hotel has free parking area. Additionally is not far from the city center. The taxi costs only 15 Euro to the city center. The hotel is in a quiet place surrounded with trees and flowers. Although the receptionist is quite polite, he could not help us enough. Even he does not know where the extra pillows are.

The staff were great and very helpful, explaining how to get into the city, the purchase of bus tickets at the desk, suggesting where to eat with an idea of cost. Always ready with a smile. Parking good and also good wi- fi. Would return to this hotel on further visits to Florence.

This hotel is very clean, the room is very big. The only inconvenient is that there is no elevator. So you do have to carry all your luggage to the rooms which are all upstairs. But there are not so many steps until you reach the first floor. The bathroom is amazing and very big, clean. The beds are also good. The floor is carpet of wood, which is good. Breakfast is good. The recepcionists speak English and they even help you to find good things to do in the city and around it. If you want to visit any wine factory, ask the hotel to book in advance. It's not possible to visit factories without booking in advance. I do recommend this hotel to anyone.. Friends, couples, families. Very cool!

This hotel is set in lovely gardens on a hill to the south of Florence. We liked being able to escape the crowds in the city and chose it so that we could enjoy the walk there and back. We were fortunate that the weather was good as in wet weather using the bus or taxi would be necessary. It is a good 30-40 minute walk to the station and the pavenments are quite narrow and busy (problems for rollalong suitcases). The room was very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was good (except the coffee).

Only stayed 2 nights. Staff very friendly, English speaking and a good continental breakfast. We enjoyed our stay. Bit disappointed in mini bar in room which was just soft drinks and mineral water. Bar downstairs though if we had wanted it.

Great setting in gardens about 20 min walk from Florence. Like your own country mansion near the city. Our room was huge, which was a nice change from the smaller rooms we'de had in Siena, Bologna etc. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was ok only, but that's a really small point , as it was very similar to most Italian hotels. We loved the location, but if you don't like to walk - choose something closer to the city, however we really enjoyed our walks into the city and the bus is very close and comes regularly if you don't want to walk.

The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was perfect for our almost week-long stay in Florence. It was an easy bus-ride from the center of the city, but removed from the frenetic tourist scene of the center city. The room was splendid. It was a perfect place to end a day of sight-seeing in quiet seclusion. The hotel location also made it easy to take day-trips to Pisa and to the Cianti wine region, without dealing with center-city traffice and narrow streets. The only problem we had was that the hot water in the shower cycled from just-right to almost-scalding at a moment's notice. Also, management should consider installing slip-proof mats in the shower since the floor gets extremely slippery with soapy water flowing over it.

A beautiful little hotel, away form the noise of the city. My only complaint was that the rooms, although modern and very clean, were a bit small. There was nowhere to put the bags.

The hotel was lovely and cool on our visit, which was a welcome contrast to the heat outside. It is very nicely presented and the courtyard for breakfast was a nice start to the day. The hotel itself is very easy to find being on the corner of one of the main roads leading to the town. It is very well set and nice and quiet. It is approximately a 30-40 minute walk into the centre of town. The corridor between the rooms is stone which whilst keeping the place cool also allows noise to travel. In the middle of the night during our stay someone arrived/left and banged their suitcase up the small step in the corridor, and then pulled it all the way along it. They must have woken the whole floor up!

Comfortable, clean hotel with staff who were very keen to help orientate us in the city and make the stay a succesful one. Tasty breakfast served outside in the garden. Although I knew this hotel was outside the centre, I didn't realise how far - about 35 minutes' walk from Ponte Vecchio. We had a one-night stay and in retrospect I might have chosen a more central hotel, although the bus service was cheap and easy to use.

Exclusive location with the large villas on the hillside surrounding the South of the city centre. Quiet and breezy away from the touristy hustle and bustle of the city centre yet only 20mins pleasant walk down hill to the Roman gate. The hill does seem rather steeper on the way back - so walk in and catch the bus back!

“It was just as described and better! So very wonderful! Traveling solo first time to Florence. Perfect location for me...the walk into the center down the ancient cobblestone streets, the pool at the end of the day, the quiet location, the large room with high ceilings, its understated elegance and antiques, huge marble bath and large patio overlooking the grounds and Tuscan hills was enough to make me want to return in the spring. Loved everything about it...even met some wonderful people from Berlin. The breakfast buffet was amazing! The staff so very helpful in setting up daily excursions and taxi service for me...I Highly recommend this very special palace!” Patricia, Malibu |

“Friendly, helpful staff current in English. We loved the breakfast (included in the price) featuring local cold cuts and cheese, homemade pastry and bread, different types of cereal, milk, yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee, tea and of course capuccino. The room, minimalistic in design, offered a high quality (king!) mattress and a rather small bathroom with a tiny shower (did not impact too much on the very good stay we had there). Very clean! The hotel is located 10 minuteswalking distance from the Duomo and Plazza de la Signoria, 5 minutes from Santa Maria de la Novela and 5 minutes from Ponte Vecchio. We highly recommend it for a short city trip. ” Mirela, East Greenwich |

“The location was great. Walking distance from the train station (be sure to get directions as we walked in the wrong direction) and walking distance to all the main sites. The hotel staff was always friendly and helpful. The room was small (but you're in a city after all), and it was very clean and modern. When i return to Florence I would definitely stay here again! ” Theresa, East Brunswick |
