Hotel Villa Carlotta  

First of all, the location was excellent being only a few miles south of Stresa which is a very nice small town with plenty of restaurants etc. Although the unique Isola Bella is a must, the gardens at Villa Taranto were truly excellent. The hotel has a nice garden and an outdoor pool with excellent views over Lake Maggiore. The reception staff were very helpful and provided us with lots of information re. trips etc. The food and service in the hotel restaurant was excellent and it was a real treat to be served by professional staff who clearly took pride in their work - and smiled.

We were a late booking - so our room may not be typical as it needs a makeover. However, it was very comfortable and clean. We would describe our room (371) as having charm, albeit faded charm. Overall, we really liked the hotel.

Not enough in 300 words! Terribly basic rooms that no way deserves 4 Star. 2 star more like if that. Staying now in superb hotel with free internet for 70E including breakfast. Carlotta charges a massive 10E/hr or incredible 70E/day just for wifi!! Hugely expensive and pathetic breakfast. Rooms dirty, visibly hand sewn holes in bedding. Dirty wall paper, even sh*t still on wc brush! Basically this hotel is FAR overpriced ad they couldn't give a monkies! We mananged to cancel our second day booking. Definitely the worst 4 Star hotel ever and a rip off! Don't go there!!!

The veiw fromthe pool was the only thing we liked, we would not recommend this hotel.

staff very unfriendly,room dirty,bathroom door didnt shut ,bath leaked water all over the floor,door hanging off wardrobe,balancy,all the plaster was pealing of the wall.No one told us that u had to climb up two lots of stairs and a steap hill to get to the pool,the pool man was misrable and was sweeping the patio whilst you were laying there,he was cleaning the pool while you was in it.The pool only had a small hut to get cans of drinks.We were celebrating our 30 years anniversary and they done nothing for us, we have stayed in lots of 4 star hotels and this is not 4 star it needs badly decorating and all the staff needs to go on a customer service course.

All the staff were great . also the manager ( I think she is the owner too ) was very friendly . waiters of the morning breakfast restaurant were very very friendly and lovely guys the site of the hotel was magnificent in front of the lake . the hotel have a very good space as a parking !!!! lovely hotel and a lovely staff

Good location, good aspect, friendly staff.

Breakfast was limited and on Sunday the bread ( a major component was stale). It was Sunday of course Plenty of parking on the street but the hotel parking was often full.

Das Hotel verfügt über eingene, kostenlose Private Parkplätze, im Sommer ist hinter dem Hotel ein Swimmingpool und Liegen. Wenn Zimmer mit Balkon gewünscht werden, muss dies bei der Buchung angefordert werden. Hotel ist am See.

Der Bar - Service war schlecht, denn wir waren von 22:00h bis 22:30h an der Bar und keine Bedienung in Sicht. Wir gingen darauf hin weg. Die Mini - Bar war nicht aufgefüllt.

ei mitään, kun sain huoneen puutarhan puolelta. Kadun puolella on häiritsevää.

Strassenlaerm am Morgen

Es ist ein hübsches unkompliziertes Hotel. Dazu sauber und angenehm. Die Mitarbeiter sind mehrsprachig und es gab so keine Verständigungsschwierigkeiten. Gute Parkmöglichkeiten fürs Auto sind vorhanden. Die Lage ist sehr vorteilhaft. Direkt an der Strasse, also gut zu finden, direkter Zugang und Sicht zum See, ausserdem gute Möglichkeiten in die Natur zu finden. Der Pool ist hübsch in einem Palmengarten und ruhig gelegen mit direkter Sicht über das Hotel auf den See.

L'accueil La situation géographique La vue La piscine

Très bon accueil, chambres triples très spacieuses avec 2 sdb, un cadre magnifique au bord du lac majeuravec un grand parc et une terrasse très agréable donnant directemant sur notre chambre.

Le petit dejeuner est un peu limité, la piscine glacée et le mobilier parfois vieillot.

Non mi e' piaciuto e non ritornerei...per fortuna era solo per una notte. Le 4 stelle non devono ingannare.. E nemmeno le foto del vostro sito! Leggete I giudizi riportati, sono davvero veritieri!

Prachtig hotel, lekker restaurant, fantastisch zicht op het meer en een mooi zwembad iets hoger gelegen met panorama.

Kamers misschien een klein beetje verouderd, maar dat stoort niet echt. Voor de rest alles super.

Steckdosen passten nicht. Adapter wurde versprochen aber nicht bereitgestellt.

L'hotel non merita le 4 stelle che dichiara. La moquette della camera era tutta consumata, la vasca idromassaggio non funzionava, e neanche le prese in bagno. La colazione senza neanche un caffè da bar. C'era solo una di quelle antipatiche macchinette che ti mettono una schiuma bianca su un caffè liofilizzato e lo chiamano cappuccino. La cosa più triste è che le nostre lamentele non sono servite a nulla, niente scuse, niente sconti. Sconsiglio l'hotel! La sera dopo abbiamo trovato un hotel molto più carino, molto più nuovo, più economico, anche se aveva solo 3 stelle, ci siamo trovati molto meglio e abbiamo anche fatto un'ottima colazione!
