Price; breakfast, room was interesting Thought from the description that the room had a bath. The walk from the hotel to the city (and back) was further than expected and involved crossing a very, very busy road. Returning fom the city was interesting in the dark! |

The room was very pretty and clean. The grounds were gorgeous. Breakfast was ok. I didn't interact at all with the staff, so I can't say if they were helpful or not. 900 meters doesn't sound far from town but, it is; At least a 20-25 minute walk and a very dangerous, narrow street. It's a one lane road, that allows two way traffic. Walking to town was ok in the day time, but it was extremely dangerous and scary at night. The cars sped by, there were limited street lights. I felt slightly misled that it was closer to town. Coffee at breakfast was terrible. In Italy, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a good cappuccino for breakfast. Bed was extremely uncomfortable. So much so that my back ached for 3 days afterwards. It was like sleeping in a hammock. Also you could hear every single step the people upstairs took. I wish she hadn't worn those clunky heels... |

As a converted tower, it was clear that an affort had been made to decorate in a medieval style, making it unique and different from the average hotel. In addition there is secure parking (not easy to find in Italy!), and the pool and poolside relaxing areas were great! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Noisy - no sound proofing between floors meant every sound could be heard through the stone floors, and the bed was incredibly uncomfortable. |

Although somewhat isolated in a country lane The Villa has been refurbished to a high standard in the authentic rustic style which adds charm and enhances a relaxing atmostphere. Walking 1 km to the Old City centre & back is fine during daylight hours, but could become problematic after dark. I found the car/taxi the best solution, Parking is available within the City walls 1.5 euro p/h. free after 8.00pm |

The manager was very good and helpful in a fairly stressful situation at the end of the trip. The pool was lovely! We had a room on the top floor which is really quite small. |

Really liked the atmosphere. It was a pity we couldn't stay longer. The room was lovely and there will definitely be another trip back to Lucca and this hotel. |

We liked everything about this hotel. The room was very rustic and comfortable, staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, the pool and gardens were lovely with ample sun beds / settees. It was a short walk to the centre of Lucca, if preferred bikes could be hired to cycle there. We would definately reccomend this hotel. |

Having stayed here for one night two years ago we decided to come back for a 3 night stay this time. The hotel is actually a B&B but is excellent for a relaxing break. It is close enough to Lucca for a leisurely walk but gives the impression of being in the middle of the countryside .Pool and breakfast are great as is the availabilty of bike hire. Stefano was great at organising taxis etc. if required This time we got a very small room on the top floor. This did detract from our stay as two years ago we had a very large room and this was one of the factors for coming back. However I would return again. |

Stefano was great....carried our luggage up four flights of steps! The pool is very nice too...relaxing. Easy to get to Lucca and the hotel is very charming. One of the TV channels had porn which was a shock. |

Stefano and his wife really made one feel welcome. Help and advice on local sights and the town, restaurants etc was excellent. The use of bikes was also a big plus. Breakfast was very good. Loved the beautiful clean big pool. Slightly noisy with our room being right next to the road. |

The breakfast was absolutely fantastic. The pool was very clean and comfortable. The only issue was the shower didn't drain well. The water eventually went down, but it limited the length of the shower. |

The pool and the locality. There were also free bikes to use to ride around the city. The act that the air-conditioning did not work and we could not sleep would be a minus point. |

Great place to stay, easy walk from Lucca centre. Good facilites for small children and a large pool. Ample free parking. While some furnishings and decor verged on being tacky IMHO overall everything was of very good quality and design. Excellent value at the last minute rate we got. |

The hotel design and decorative detail. The very thin wall between my room on the 3rd floor and the neighboring one, you could hear everything. |
