Score from 397 reviews Very good
Very comfortable and convenient for visiting Lucca and getting to Pisa by train.Excellent staff - gave us a great deal of help.
The wifi was up and down, but we're on holiday so who really cares
Very friendly staff very helpful and always on hand to offer advice on good days out, I've already recommended it to friends
The bed squeaked!!! a LOT. Shower was VERY small but worked well.
Good breakfast, cooked as needed. Tidy apartment. Close to Lucca, but outside the wall, so no traffic hassles. Four-poster bed.
Beautiful place with nice gardens and large variety for breakfast. Well done to the owners!
The bed was terrible!! It was caved in! Plus there was no mattress cover... I didn't sleep!
The buildings are grounds are beautiful. It is decorated beautifully. The staff is friendly.
wonderful buildings and grounds plenty of secure parking.
Could be noisy. 15-20 minute walk to old city.
Comfortable and stylish. Friendly staff. Lots of easy parking.
The breakfast was served poolside in a Tent. I am sure in the summer it is lovely. It was somewhat crowded.
Our Room was spaceous and had a small kitchenett . Everything looked new. the grounds were very nice, with a pool and it was an easy walk into Luca Centre We also got an outstanding rate because of the time of year
Absolutely no Wi Fi, and staff not interested in fixing it. Big lump in mattress and no protector.
Great location and great breakfast.
With no car a challenge to get to and from town often. Wifi reception spotty at best in rooms. 4 flights of stairs.
The hosts were charming, the accommodations lovely, best breakfast at a B and B in Italy so far. Lovely pool and sitting areas outside. Lucca is lovely.
Breakfast -not good
Set up construction and amenities
Room dark and with very little storage and no dressing table.
Great location, short drive or long walk to the walled city. Good base for touring the area. Lots of car parking.
Poor wifi, blocked shower, lumpy pillow
Arrived early and could park for the day. Were happy to accelerate our room if we needed and were extremely helpful, even offering breakfast
Room was rather dark. Not enough drawer space or coat hangers. Facilities for making hot drinks inthe room would have been welcome. Breakfast area strangely at odds with the rest of the building; it was a tent complete with slug and snail trails!
Lovely room, comfortable bed. Room was very clean and decorated well. Beautiful tiles on the floor interesting sconces and furnishings. Great surroundings and grounds.
Wifi was a problem although they had a technician coming to fix
Everything was perfect about this replica old world hotel, close to town and breakfast was the best we had in Italy. Swimming pool looked lovely and kids staying made good use of it. The host was very helpful and gave us a tourist map & ideas about what to see in Lucca.
room, pool, brakfast at the pool, wifi
Very minor but wi-fi doesnt serve all rooms.
Great pool, spacious clean rooms. Easy access to Lucca. Onsite parking. Excellent breakfast.
Kept awake by snoring from next door - a lot of noise transfer betweens room. Attic room had tiny windows, very dark and felt claustrophobic even though a large room. Breakfast not great.
There should be someone there to greet you if you arrive late, when clean room sheets should be changed,a lounge would be good in it,no one there to ring taxi after 5.30
When asked to change rooms for my aunty staff dealt with it very well and very helpful
The juice at breakfast is awful!
Loved mostly everything! Lovely hotel, very clean, looks good, and the staff during our stay was excellent.
The quality of the food at breakfast was poor, especially the cheap horrible bread. Nothing freshly baked. No bar or communal facility of any kind after 6pm. The pool had a cleaning machine running around the bottom of the pool ALL of the time. The furniture around the pool was filthy.
The rooms were extremely clean and fresh towels every day. The staff were helpful but finished about 6pm . The layout of the hotel was very good , just missing a bar, and the style was very impressive.
The wifi was very spotty in our room. It was only available if you stood in a corner.
Loved the location. It was quiet and walkable to the center of Lucca. Charming design and sitting by the pool in the afternoon was a relaxing break after a day of seeing the sights. The breakfast was excellent and having a secure parking area was a bonus.
The shower is unnecessarily complicated. Some teething problems in new rooms but staff are very helpful.
Service. Staff are excellent, especially Stefano. The breakfast has many choices, pool, attention to detail, proximity to Citta de Lucca.
Decor is a bit old fashioned, but on the plus side the rooms are comfortable and very clean. There were two little niggles, the squeaky gate that was a tad annoying at night time and the occasional smell of drains outside ( think this probably couldn't be helped as it is often the norm with continental drainage systems!!!)
This hotel is in a great spot for visiting Lucca and the surrounding cities in Tuscany (the public transport in Lucca is excellent). One of its best features is the lovely swimming pool, which is quite a bonus in Italian hotels. The staff are lovely and speak excellent English. The continental breakfast buffet was good with plenty of choice.
