Hotel Villa Dei Platani    

The welcoming atmosphere from the beautifull villa and its extension but moreover the ever present friendly staff that never left you in doubt of any question or service needed. Every morning we enjoyed the dìfestively decorated breakfast buffet which was constantly refreshed and had the most delivious pastries ever on a buffet breakfast.

The staff at this hotel made our stay there even better than we could possibly have expected. Anil, Serena, and Elisa at the front desk made us feel welcome and at home there and were so helpful to us every day of our stay. They were spot on with restaurant recommendations, in Foligno and in the other cities we visited while staying there. And they were a treasure trove of information about whatever we asked. Daniella, who runs the delightful breakfast room, created beautiful displays of delicious food and made sure we enjoyed our breakfast each day. The hotel itself is beautiful, as are the landscaped areas there. It's all quite sleek and contemporary inside, but still warm and comfortable. Our room was very attractive and mostly functional, and we were fortunate enough to have access to the spacious sun deck just outside our door. We enjoyed our first breakfast out there, after our alarm clock didn't go off until breakfast time was nearly over. Daniella prepared a serving cart of food and beverages and wheeled it to our room, which was above and beyond 'nice'. This hotel clearly exceeded our expectations, and the location was excellent as a home base as it was easy to get in and out of for doing day trips.

Well, the lighting was beautiful and romantic in our room, but not very functional. I kept hoping that a big bright light bulb or light fixture would magically appear in the middle of the ceiling, but it didn't happen. The lighting in the bathroom is excellent, making it easy to use the mirror or make-up mirror, but it was more difficult to see in the bedroom in the evening. In the morning, there was light coming in from outside, which was fine. There were a few other things in the bathroom I hadn't encountered before and wasn't crazy about (I.E. toilet paper squares that dispensed one at a time). But all in all, the hotel was a great place to stay.

Pleasant hotel, most staff helpful. Lovely gardens. Very quiet considering it's location on a busy road. Near many restaurants. Beautiful cycling paths only minutes out of the town.

Exorbitant 45 euros each to use the sauna etc. No restaurant, nor bar. Rather sterile as no where to meet other residents. Although advertised as bikes available they had only one town bike. They did however get a very nice lady to bring two good bikes, after some persuading, at 20 euros each bike per day.

The profesionalism of personnel

Though just 2 minutes from the station, it is nothing like typical "close to the railway station" hotels. Actually, it is a "villa" in a trim garden. We had requested for a quiet room and indeed the only noise we could hear early morning was a loud singing of birds inhabiting big trees in the hotel garden. We spent in the hotel 6 days seeing sights in Umbria. We decided to use only the public transportation and the hotel "crew" was extremely helpful in finding the best bus/train connections.The room/bathroom equipment is new and modern, everything impeccably clean. Last but not least: excellent breakfast with a good selection of local cheeses and charcuterie, a variety of pastries and fruits (including a dish of strawberries everyday - end of April). Foligno itself is not as beautiful as other Umbrian towns but very safe and with friendly people. Its main advantage is a convenient, central location for visiting Umbria, especially when travelling by the public transportation because, contrary to most other towns in Umbria (Assisi, Perugia, Spoleto etc.) the railway/bus station is in the centre rather than outside downtown.

Albergo innovativo, all'avanguardia, struttura nuova sempre pulita, lo staff gentilissimo. Camere spaziose, rifinite con cura e gusto, dotate di sky, inoltre si può usufruire del frigo in camere gratuitamente e la TV in bagno è il fiore all'occhiello della stanza. Assolutamente da ritornarci per una vacanza all'insegna del benessere e del relax.

El hotel es nuevo y de diseño. La habitación perfecta y el baño nuevo y moderno. Ducha amplia que funcionaba a la perfección. Internet gratis en la habitación con 6 mb medidos, sky en la tv hd. El aparcamiento es de pago pero cuesta solo 5€ al día. Claramente repetiría ya que es de lo mejor que encontré y está muy bien situado para visitar Umbria, lo principales sitios están a menos de media hora en coche.El staff super amable, hasta el ultimo día le trajeron a nuestro hijo un huevo kinder para después de desayunar.

Son solo dos pequeños detalles, la limpieza no era perfecta, en el suelo había polvo etc, una pena porque estaba muy nuevo todo y con un aspirado solucionado. El desayuno estaba muy bueno con un aceite espectacular de la zona muy picante y variedad de panes y dulces, así como algo de fruta cortada, pero de salado muy poco, un par de quesos y salami. El café bueno de bar.

Sono un chirurgo del Policlinico di Napoli e con un mio collega abbiamo soggiornato in questo albergo per partecipare ad un congresso. Hotel splendido, camere ampie con stanza da bagno enorme. Staff sempre presente e gentilissimo ed estremamente disponibile. Colazione abbondante con servizio eccellente. In conclusione un Hotel da consigliare anche per la sua posizione centralissima e vicino alla stazione (50 metri), con giardino, e tutto quel che può essere utile (internet gratis, pantofole, prodotti per il bagno ecc..) 10 e lode da un viaggiatore esperto.

Alti livelli di disponibilità e di professionalità dello staff. Ottima accoglienza ed ottima colazione. Le stanze sono pulitissime e il bagno davvero confortevole e piacevole. Tutto in pieno design di ultima generazione.

Nei giorni in cui ci sono capitato io il centro spa era in manutenzione, dunque inutilizzabile.

il bagno, seppur ineccepibile E' piccolo ; la moquette nelle camere andava di moda negli anni 70.
