No grocery store or beach toy shops were open within walking distance when we were there, one had to drive; but this is also probably because of the restructuring underway. Hope this gets fixed though.
The entire Poetto beach coastline was undergoing massive regeneration when we were there, which we didn't know about, which had impacted the availability of services eg restaurants, banks, and grocery shops. Whenever that's finished it should be pretty amazing.
Nonetheless, the hotel is perfectly situated in front of the massive Poetto beach, featuring fine sand, family-friendly, slopes gently into the water. Although it can get very windy - we lost our toy inflated crocodile to the wind as it blew out into the waves faster than we could get it!
Cute restaurant right in front of hotel with dedicated (payable) umbrella and beach chair service, also gelateria conveniently right next to hotel.
Davide and his colleagues looked after us really excellently, with a lot of care, attention and kindness. The hotel itself was spotless, the apartment was incredibly spacious, extremely tastefully and practically decorated (just wish they had bigger knives to cut with though!), with its own outdoor terrace for meals. Always a bonus to have good wifi in the rooms which we had! The hotel offered breakfast but we ate in our own flat so I can't comment on its breakfast offering.
Parking was easy and free for us in one of the small roads alongside the hotel, however it might be an issue maybe during peak season when everything is open again.
Also appeciated being so very close to Cagliari, we were in the airport within 20-25 mins drive.
Well done team for providing such a lovely experience!
