Hotel Villa Diana is a small hotel, first opened in 1950 by the Swiss painter Edwin Hunziker and surrounded by a large garden of citrus trees and olives. Today, it still belongs to the artist's family, who run it with the same spirit of simple and warm hospitality as its founder. Hotel Villa Diana offers panoramic views of Lipari, from its quiet, romantic terraces. The premises also feature a solarium, a tennis court, a bowling green and a private art gallery. Free parking is available on site. All of the rooms are air-conditioned and overlook the gardens and the terraces. All of the rooms are different, each one offering a unique view. Beautiful old architecture; fabulous views from almost any angle; mosaic floors; always spotless; good coffee. Strong odors in halls; staff was not as alert or as helpful as it might have been, E.G. we had to ask for fresh towels and soap; the breakfast, while fresh, was not always adequate; they were not very helpful with tourist information.

Beautiful location overlooking Lipari. Nice views from the terraces and the garden of the hotel. Also nice terrace in front of the room. Bathroom was huge. Staff was very helpfull. Breakfast was okay. Room and bed were a little spartan.

Very beautiful and calm hotel with terrace overlooking Lipari surrounded by a garden with a lot of flowers and lemon trees. Extensive breakfast on the shady terrace. Each room has its private terrace. For me it is clearly the most beautiful place to stay on Lipari!! Beds should be a little bit more firm.

Thoroughly enjoyed having breakfast and relaxing on the terrace located in the lush garden with lemon trees and beautiful views of Lipari city and the ocean. Peaceful location five minutes walk from the main street with restaurants and shopping.

The location of the hotel was perfect - it was far enough outside the town to enjoy the peace and quiet but not too far to walk into town for restaurants, ferries etc. It also had great character with all the paintings from the Swiss artist who used to live there.The outside space was magical - filled with the smell of orange blossom,with little seating areas dotted around to enjoy the views. Finally, we had to leave early because the ferries were due to be cancelled and they could not have been more helpful - they even gave us a lift to the harbour. The lady owner was not very friendly. Also, we were surrounded by orange trees but were given ghastly artificial orange juice for breakfast.

Great view, nice staff, we stayed with our son for a couple of days during April - there were no other guests in the hotel. It was peaceful and quiet. I recommed this hotel definitely.

Exzellente, ruhige lagen mit Blick auf die Altstadt Lipari inmitten eines Garten mit Terrasse, liegestühlen, Tisch - einfach zum Seele baumeln lassen. Trotzdem nur kurzer Fußweg in das Zentrum. Bei Anfrage kostenloser Abholservice vom Hafen. Hervorragend!

L'hotel è ubicato in una posizione perfetta di Lipari: ideale per visitare la città e a 10 minuti a piedi dal porto dei traghetti, l'albergo è situato in una zona tranquilla e appartata dal caotico centro del paese dov'è possibile rilassarsi ed immergersi nella natura.Ideale per qualsiasi tipo di soggiorno, l'Hotel Villa Dianna gode inoltre di una vista senza paragoni che abbraccia il mare e la Cattedrale di Lipari con ai piedi l'antico centro storico. E sicuramente l'hotel più adatto per chi non vuole spendere troppo e rilassarsi nel paradiso delle isole Eolie.

Tres bien place sur lipari,vue magnifique sur la ville,calme,fleurs citronniers orangers etc... c'est paradisiaque. Pas un mot de francais et surtout une odeur de retour d'egout lors de mon premier sejour au second cette odeur avait disparu.

L' hotel è situato in una posizione rialzata rispetto al centro città: questo permette di godere di una ottima vista su Lipari pur essendo prossimi al centro, che è raggiungibile a piedi in pochi minuti. Piante di vario genere circondano I nuclei abitativi ed I gatti presenti sono una piacevole compagnia, senza essere invadenti. Strepitose le marmellate home-made di agrumi servite a colazione.
